One of the best sites I've ever stayed at:
* the backdrop is a pretty cottage in a valley, with a shallow river, lavender hedges, dry stone walls, and mown paths through long grass.
* Spotless showers and toilets
* Wood fired pizzas available on Friday
* ice cream cart in the afternoon
* optional outdoor movie in the pretty garden, with bluetooth headphones
* great spot for walks around the Manifold Valley, including Thor's Cave.
* lots of games available under a gazebo, including table football, ping pong, boules, giant connect 4.
* no light pollution - starry nights.
No mobile signal, no wifi (unless you want it at reception), just birds and a stream and a pretty setting. Kids (8 & 5) loved it.

What a gorgeous place! We loved the river which runs across the field, perfect for a cold morning plunge!
Hosts were super friendly and welcoming, the shop is well stocked too.
Freshly baked croissants in the morning were the icing on the cake.
Thanks Ecton Bridge we will be back :)

This campsite is perfect for kids and adults alike.
It's relaxing, it has great people running it, Kate and James are just lovely. They come around with a 100 year old ice-cream bike at half 4 every day, there's an outdoor film night and a pizza night, the pizzas were delicious.
There's a little shop selling essentials.
The toilet and shower facilities are clean.
There's a little stream running through the site for the kids to paddle in.
Kate gives great information and is knowledgeable about the surrounding areas if you want to have a day trip.
There's also a pub about 1. 5 miles away.
It was perfect for us and we will be going back.

A very tranquil campsite with a clean and modern shower and toilet block. Great games (table tennis, boules, connect four) which we all enjoyed playing!
Added extras like an ice cream bike, pizza night and outdoor film night just enhance the whole camping experience.
Katie, James and their daughter were super helpful and very kind and we will definitely return to a wonderful campsite in a gorgeous location, Jo and Rich

This is our 3rd time at ecton bridge and each year we love it more and more. Perfect location, so calm, tranquil and beautiful. The campsite itself is lovely and well kept.
Lovely clean toilet/shower facilities. Area for washing pots etc. What makes this campsite are the owners Kate and James. They are always I on hand to help and make your stay amazing.
Great little shop on site stocking a small selection of things. Not a rip off like other places. They do pizza night on a Friday and they are delicious.
Movie night is Saturday and my 2 girls 5&7 just loved sitting under the stars late at night watching a movie with headphones provided.
Kate comes round everyday asking if you need logs for the fire pits everyday. She also comes round every afternoon with ice creams. Also they offer breakfast in a morning croissants/baguette and coffee. Lovely touch.
We will definitely come back every year. Our kids just love playing in the stream, riding around the site on their bikes. They never get bored.
The last 2 years I’ve been lucky enough to get clear nights and be able to take some amazing Photos of the milkyway. 💜
Thanks so much Kate and James for all you do. See you next year x

We had our first visit to ecton bridge campsite this summer and what a pleasure it was,
The site is run perfectly by kate and James who go above and beyond, we felt so welcome,
The site is so tranquil and beautiful, it has everything you need and the facilities are very clean.
There is no service for your phone which didn't matter and even our teenage daughter didn't mind because she loved the site so much.
You can get WiFi if needed by reception and there are charging lockers for phones or ipads.
We loved our time at Ecton Bridge so much we have already booked up for next year.

I would just like to say a big thankyou to Kate and her husband for creating a such an amazing serene retreat, it really shows your great hospitality, going the extra mile, everything about your place was more than I expected.
Perfect in every sense, the campfires are a great touch when so many other sites do not allow them!

We really enjoyed our stay especially as we were the only campers so we had the facilities to ourselves.
There were games for the kids, nearby walks and we enjoyed our dip in the river even though it was raining!
The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. We also liked that we could order fresh baguettes.
We would definitely recommend and would visit again in the near future. -

Place is truly relaxing. Setting is in a beautiful valley by the river where you can have a swim if you wish.
Pitches are massive and flat. Showers and toilets (3 each men/ women) very clean.
They have a small shop where you can find all the essential so even if you just had a ten everything else is there.
No signal but you can you WiFi by the reception, no charge.
The owners are fantastic warm couple doing this with passion.
Will be back!
