Very lovely campsite with beautiful surrounding scenery.
Toilets were very clean.
Lovely farm shop where we bought some vegetables to go with our dinner.
Slightly on the more expensive side considering there were no shower facilities but I would definitely go again if I went to the area

A great little campsite. Very friendly owners.
Fantastic location very close to castleton, 5 minutes walk away.
Only drawback was that there were only two toilets for a field full of campers.
Showers would be the icing on the cake.

Campsite in a great location just two minutes walk from the centre of castlton
Plenty of places to eat and have few beers. Nice Campsite shop with all the basic food you need great views all around mam tor, loose hill and pevril castle.
The thing that let it down for me is no shower block, I know it says on the website no showers but after a 13 mile sweaty hike a shower is needed.
There are two toilets on site in a little shed and they were very clean and there's an outside sink to wash your dishes but unfortunately only cold water and its not undercover so when it's raining you get soaked, maybe just a little roof to you dry would be good idea.
I probably wouldn't stop there again just because of the shower situation apart from that great little campsite.

I was going on a bit of a hike around the edale valley and decided I'd rather stay over than drive back the same day so used the ukcampsite contact form to enquire about staying over, got a response that same day from Jo and got myself booked in for a tent pitch.
You can park next to your tent on the field, all very informal and friendly which was great. They had a single toilet/bathroom which was well stocked and clean. Great on site shop and a very short walk (1-2mins) into castleton village centre.
There were other campers in tents and campervans and everyone was quiet enough (it's not a library) and respectful.
Lovely campsite, I'd definitely stay here again and happy to recommend.

Stayed here in my roof tent. Was pleasantly surprised how tidy and well situated the site is.
Jo greeted me when I arrived, signed me in and got sorted with no hassle. I paid her £5 to park for the whole of the following day while I went walking which helped massively but not having to move my vehicle.
Also had a look around their fantastic farm shop.
All in all it was a great stay and I'd like to return this summer

Wonderful campsite. Very basic facilities (2 x toilets, washing up sink, drinking water tap, waste disposal - no shower) all were exceptionally clean.
Toilet roll was always restocked too. We stayed on a grass pitch, hard standing with electric hook up were available also but we didn't need them.
The pitches were near level, big and looked out in all direction at the wonderful views.
Once parked up we went to the farm shop, it was FULL of local produce.
The rocky road was delicious.
The location was perfect for all the trails we wanted to do (Limestone Way, the castle, Mam Tor, Black Tor, Lose Hill ect).
We didn't need to move our van all weekend.
I would stay here again.
