Great site, friendly staff, very helpful, goats are very playful and cute, porta potty’s are a good quality.
Very dark at night but is nice to sit outside and stargaze, also very quiet which is ideal.

This is a small site with clean toilets and wash up area but no showers. There is also a booth with limited local products.
There are limited hard standings with the rest being grass pitches without electric.
Really good location with beautiful views and quick access to the village with a few pubs and cafes and local shops.
Great access for walks up to Mam Tor and Winnat's pass.
Basic but highly recommended, and the staff were extremely friendly.

We loved our short stay at Holmesfield Farm! The location was perfect for us to walk Mam Tor and visit Devils Arse for a concert.
The site is a short stroll from quaint and beautiful castleton which is filled with lots of quirky pubs. There are so many wonderful walks to do around here you are spoilt for choice.
We had EHU on a hardstanding site and the loos were very clean and well stocked.
There isn't a shower or hot water available but we had all we needed so this wasn't a negative for us. We were met on arrival at the office and everyone was super helpful and friendly.
The site is adult only and quiet, especially after 10pm because it is a working farm - as evidenced by the curious sheep nibbling grass next to us each day :-)
Absolutely loved it and will definitely come back to this site again! Thank you

Absolutely loved this site. Friendly & helpful. Quiet & peaceful, beautiful views.
Has all your basic needs. There are no showers, however, toilets, fresh water, toilet waste facility, small number of hard ground & hook ups available.
Has a little honesty box shed shop with lovely good quality local produce.
Please be mindful, this a working farm, so respect & good pet etiquette is a must.
Centre of castleton, literally a five minute walk. Lovely quaint place. I paid £25 a night, feel it was well worth it to me.
I stayed one night as couldn't get in at a nearby site with friends, however I will stay on this site again for longer, next time. Beautiful.

One of the best located sites you’ll find - site is in centre of castleton with great views.
Field is big and flat, one newly built toilet with sink and mirror, Elsan point and drinking water.
Friendly owner, there’s also a farm shop and a few small animals

Just spent two nights at the newly opened pop us campsite in castleton in Derbyshire called Holmesfield Farm. It is a fairly flattish field with the rough farm track passing through the middle.
There was a freshwater tap and a CDP. There are a few EHU’s. There is only one toilet and no shower.
The farm shop, next to reception, sells basic food products plus a lovely selection of cheeses. Also for sale are old farm tools and general memorabilia.
The cost was £25/per night for 2 adults which as a single traveller I thought was a bit too expensive considering the lack of facilities (shower) and just a grass field to park on.
Although it is advertised as an adult only campsite there were young children staying on both nights I was there. The teenage (15/16 year old?) farm girl posed a considerable danger racing her tractor at great speed up and down on the grass next to the farm track.
I would return again if there was a better price for a single traveller, no kids (unless they change the rules to allow children) or a tractor racing around.

Great location, just a few minutes walk into the heart of the village.
Nice friendly owners
Fair price.
Plenty of room to pitch up.
We took a small torch as site is dark if returning late (as you would expect)
Regards
Darren
