As this is our first season with our caravan we chose to come to Cosgrove as it is only about 30 minutes from where we live - a good opportunity to practice with the awning!
Although we were close to home the it felt like we was on holiday. The park was excellent for our young children and the park was nice to cycle around. The pool was a real bonus and we even had the weather to use it!
The park was well maintained. The main toilets are clean and with plenty of hot water.
My only negative is that there are a lot of seasonal/long term residents who can be noisy at night - having said that by 11pm it was usually quieter it was only an issue for us as we have young children.

Fantastic. We arrived for our very first motorhome experience.
The staff at the gate where so friendly and happy to see us. They gave us all the help we needed, We stayed for 2 days and they made us more than welcome. We have 3 children age 17 15 and 10 and they loved every second of there time here. We rode into Milton Keynes up the canal path which was so beautiful.
Only one problem we came across was directions to the on site pool where a little hard to follow.
I want to say a BIG thank you for all the staff for an amazing holiday.

We have stayed on this this site twice this year for long weekends and although we live in Milton Keynes you could be miles away.
Clean, relaxing, open spaces and enough to keep the family occupied for weekends.
The lodge seems to be okay and the barley mow which is just through the tunnel under the canal is good.
Recommend it especially if you are new to Milton Keynes as it would be a great base to explore this great new town.
Big pitches, clean toilets and the swimming pool is popular.
Go on and give it a try.

Have just spent 3 nights here and wish we'd found this site before. We were pitched near extension with no sign of temp toilet block. Toilets clean, warm and showers with fast hot water. Fresh water and disposal only about 30 yards away so no problem there. Big water sports lake with water skiing etc and about 8 other fishing lakes, I probably caught about 300 fish in 2 days but didn't use the landing net once! I did lose a couple of bigger fish though! the children's playground is large with lots of apparatus next to a small amusement arcade, a heated outdoor swimming pool with plenty of lifeguards and a small, very well stocked shop. There is also an unlisenced restaurant and takeaway on site although you can take a bottle of wine in with you. Next door is a pub (the cosgrove lodge) which has entertainment at weekends and a bar menu. Wolverton, only 5 miles away has all the shops and supermarkets you need.
We have paid £22 per night, with free fishing and swimming we will definitely be returning in the very near future

Visited Easter Weekend. Large busy site, had a pitch near the bottom fishing lake. Good points: Excellent pitch with loads of space, great children's area, toilets and showers clean, good shop, takeaway Bad points: Got stuck on the pitch after all the rain could be a worry for the non 4x4 driver, toilets in a portacabin - bit tired and cold, water point and chemical waste were miles away, takeaway closes too early. Overall decent large commercial site with good feel.

This site is extremely large and some parts of it are very picturesque, unfortunately we had been pre-allocated a pitch on what I understand is a recent extension to the site. The pitches were on a severe slope, the toilet block was a temporary porto cabin and the clean and waste water points were so far away many campers opted to drive to them.
We were forewarned of this by a family member who'd arrived before us, so whilst checking in I queried whether the water points were in fact a distance from the pitches, hoping that this was not so however I was told this was correct but that the new ones were under construction by the temporary toilet block and would possibly be ready the next day. Having spoken to people on the seasonal pitches I was told the site had been telling this same story for a number of weeks! It was a bank holiday weekend and not surprisingly they were still under construction when we left.
My husband and brother went for a spot of fishing on the nearest lake to our pitch and were very embarrassed some time later to discover that they were actually fishing on a seasonal caravanner's private spot. This arrangement was not made clear to us when we arrived and there were no notices around the site. Luckily the chap who owned the spot was understanding about it but a bit more information and clear signage could have avoided an awkward situation.
There is no pub or club on site as such but there is a place called the Lodge which can be accessed through a small hedge near the entrance, I think it was once part of the site but is now owned by someone else. Anyway we spent a good night in there, even though it was a bit of a walk from our pitch.
There does seem to be many very happy seasonal pitch holders who judging by their carefully tended gardens, and the cane furniture and hardboard floors in their awnings (well you can't help but glance as you walk past, can you?)appear to be more than satisfied. I wouldn't recommend the new part of the site and would suggest anyone booking tries to ensure they are sited on the older more level pitches.

Have been a full season user of the campsite for the last 6 years, and am now returning as a tourer. Would always recommend this site. The recent renovation to the cafe has turned off many customers (including myself), but the new shop is great. This swimming pool is also now 'heated' to avoid the Arctic temperatures. Have never used the Wi-fi, as the signal on our pitch was poor, but I don't think the prices are that bad.
One thing to watch out for is the geese flying over from the farms at about 7 o'clock in the morning.

We found this site ideal, lovely peaceful settings surrounded by lakes, the pitched were well spaced apart with a small hedge for extra privacy. There are 2 public houses a short stroll away. There is ample toilet blocks and are immaculate. Well stocked shop on the site and the staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Lovely play area for children too. We loved it so much we are going back in 2 weeks. I would highly recommend Cosgrove.

This site really does meet all expectations. We had a lovely pitch, right on the edge of one of the 12 lakes. The pool was clean, warm and had very good lifeguards. The children's playground was excellent. The shop was very well stocked and not any dearer than your average corner shop. The on-site restaurant was of a very high standard, cooking a fab cooked breakfast. The toilet and shower blocks were spotless and the water was always piping hot. Although the site is huge it still manages to be peaceful. There is ample wildlife, and some lovely areas to walk. I'd thoroughly recommend it. SATNAV WARNING: when arriving in Cosgrove Village unless you're an expert at three point turns on a postage stamp IGNORE your satnav and follow the campsite signs to the camp. We followed the satnav and put our driving/towing skills through the ultimate challenge!

Just got back from May Day bank holiday at Cosgrove. It's a huge site, very nicely kept and well laid out. Good size pitches with low hedges in between. Nice toilet and shower block, but hot water was a bit hit and miss as it was very busy. Huge childrens play area, boating and fishing lakes, nice takeaway and shop. Friendly helpful staff, we had a problem with the electric and they came to our pitch within 5 minutes. Milton Keynes is 10 minutes drive away, with plenty of shops & places to eat. Gullivers Kingdom is worth a visit if you have little ones in your party! All in all, a good place to visit, we would definitely go back!
