Had a wonderful stay at this site, the first with our new baby who is now 7 months old. A lovely quiet site, with plenty of space so you don't feel hemmed in and the toilet and shower facilities constantly cleaned. The site also had a baby bath that we were able to use for the week which was really helpful and as we don't have an electric hook up they were every happy to let us sterilise the feeding bottles in the office every day which made it so much easier for us! The free freezers for the ice packs also makes things much easier and cheaper so a real bonus.
The trevaskis farm shop a short walk away was great for getting a meal, with a dessert counter like I've never seen before! The shop also has a bit of everything you need including great meat for the BBQ.
We will definitely be coming back again!

Had a great welcome to this quiet restful site despite a fair number of campers already. Grass and general maintenance good with spotless toilets, showers etc checked regularly. Nothing too much trouble for the staff including tips on where to visit etc.
EE phones generally work best in Cornwall and did so but no WiFi if you need your technology.
Wash room for laundry and basins for washing the dishes. Trevaskis Farm nearby with pick your own fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and other grocery items. Food in the restaurant have large portions!
Hayle has a large Boots, Marks and Spencer, Next, Costa, Lidls, Fish and Chips, Thai, Curry, Chinese.
Estuary in Hayle for birdwatchers and beaches a short drive away.
Great stay, will be back!

Lovely well kept site, we felt safe with our dogs here which meant we could relax we love the dog rules. It was nice and clean very friendly staff lots of nice places to eat near by. The only thing I felt it was lacking was a small dog walking area but otherwise could not fault it at all. We won't hesitate to go back if we come that way again

Stayed three nights here last weekend and were impressed with the friendliness of the wardens and the facilities. We had a grass pitch carefully chosen for us at the top of the site as we have a large Motorhome and had been worried about sinking in to the ground as there was torrential rain around. It was a fair walk to the toilet block where the showers and toilets were very clean. There was a posh garden centre restaurant about five minutes walk away which is open in the evening too. We didn't use it this time as we cycled to the pub in Connor Down instead. The Turnpike Inn provided reasonably priced good quality food. No problem driving off the grass pitch when we left! No wifi and a poor phone signal, so not good if that is very important to you.

Amax=zing 5 days spent for the first time at this park. As soon as I got there we were greeted by staff, given a tour by the wardens and answered all questions.
Ladies, gents and unisex showers. The ladies had an actual hair dryer which was a god send!didn't mind paying the 10p charge for it either. Downside was there were 6 toilets but only 2 showers in the ladies. Unisex was open 8. 30 - 8. 30 although people were in there before 7am some days.
Freezer's to freeze your ice packs was really useful.
Will definitely be staying here again!

Just returned from a relaxing two week stay at this site. Friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean toilets, and very ample pitch size.
Chose to avoid the school holidays for obvious reasons, and we weren't disappointed. The site was very quiet in the evenings and in the daytime.
There were quite a few retired couples who have been returning year after year, they all knew each other by name, and also made you feel welcome.
Plenty of dividing hedges around the site, giving privacy and shelter from the wind. On the downside we did not get any evening sun due to the trees we were pitched next to, but on the plus side there are many more pitches which enjoyed the evening sun. So advise planning ahead if possible to select your perfect pitch.
Good value at £85 per week for a two week stay.
Never had a problem getting in the showers or toilets, even though the site was reasonably full.
Site is very well placed for exploring West Cornwall, with most locations being reached within half an hour. The narrow roads selected by the sat-nav though can be sometimes stressful if being pushed along by vehicle behind in a hurry.
Would definitely return to this site.

Lovely peaceful site. Loads of room. Only citisisim is that there is only 1 shower/toilet block. 2 showers, 4 sinks and 3 wc's in the mens, and 3 showers only in the unisex part, and if you are in the entrance end of the site, you have a fair walk to get there. I even saw people driving down to the block. I would imagine they have the absolute legal minimum. Other than that, no clubhouse, so no noisy drunks at night, but I fear for those who go for a quiet holiday in the school summer break. Your not going to get one. Yeah that's right I'm a boring old so and so. If you want a drink based holiday, go elsewhere.

This is the second year we have been to this site in May and again we found it to be an excellent experience. The key things that mark it out are layout/pitch space available, cleanliness of the washroom facilities and particularly the friendly/nothings too much trouble attitude of the owner and staff; all done without a computer! I wont embarrass them by naming them but they all seem to enjoy the customer interface and this results in the same folk returning year after year to pitches that are often known by the hirer's names as much as by number.
The market at Trevaskis farm serves excellent food and has a well stocked shop with good local ingredients and excellent meat and fish counters. For a good Sunday lunch the Rosewarne, also nearby is excellent. We did not get as far as the Pendarves Inn this time but others told us it was equally good. Of course the new Asda in Hayle is a plus point with plenty of parking on the jetty.
As well as the mandatory ride from Lelant Saltings to St Ives on the train (£4)we recommend walking from Hayle to Carbis Bay along the coastal path and back along the beach, tide permitting. The sandwiches in the Carbis Bay Hotel can be enjoyed with the view from their conservatory.
For a 6 mile plus round trip walk the other way along to Gwinear and have lunch at the Red River Inn. Its a good workout through the dunes past the old National Explosives Works and the option to come back along the beach is a welcome one. Hayle (living in the shadow of St Ives)is doing its best to rejuvenate what was a heavy Victorian Industry town and I think could easily be overlooked.
We have booked for next year and hope one day to have a pitch named after us!

This site was a great find after we forgot to confirm our booking on another site. Staff very friendly and looked after us very well from arrival to the moment we left.
Site facilities are mainly concentrated around two areas with the small shop with very basic supplies at the reception/entrance end and a single amenities block for the entire site further down. In the block itself are two showers in each male and female toilet and three unisex showers. From a male point of view it was quite common to find all toilet cubicles in use but showers very rarely a problem. I think this is more a problem of people spending too much time on the loo than a resource issue! You could not fault the site staff, they were constantly cleaning the block, showing visitors to their pitches and mowing grass on vacated pitches.
Trevakis Farm Shop on the same road is worth a look, with Pick Your Own, restaurant, shop and animals to see. Lidl and Co-op are also a short drive away. Nothing is a easy walk away so need a car.
You can walk to the gastro pub Pendarves Inn, Carnhell Green, which is out the site and to the right but requires keeping a tight reign on kids as no proper footpaths. Food was great as was the welcome but decor interesting with blue and yellow paint in the lounge area and a Union Jack painted over the urinal!
Good starting off point for Lands End, St Michaels Mount, St. Ives and Penzance. Locally Hayle is not much to see but would recommend the Brewers Fayre for breakfast as although it is £8 odd for adults kids eat free so you can fuel up the entire family for the day for about £17 or go next door for McDonalds. Also on same roundabout are a large Next, M&S, Costa and Boots.
Would visit again and would recommend this site

My wife & I stayed on this site for 7 nights in June, attracted to Higher Trevaskis because of the excellent reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk. I must say that the site measured up to the reviews in every aspect. The way the site was laid out, in small terraces, gave you the impression that there were very few other campers there, although the site was actually about half full.
The facilities were excellent. We have been camping for about 20 years and have never encountered such a spotless camp site. They constantly clean the toilets & showers throughout the day, the loo rolls & paper towels never ran out.
The management/staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. All this for £90 per week, including electricity (16 amp!)unbelievable.
Without doubt this is one of the best campsites we have ever stayed on.
