We stayed on this campsite for 13 nights and really felt at home. As we had a car breakdown in the end the owners were extremely helpful and we can't thank them enough for their help. We can highly recommend this site. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and made us really feel wellcome. On the pitches you have plenty of space. The toilets block is spotless clean and there is plenty of hot water. There is also a washing machine and dryers, a playfield for ballgames and a small playground.
There is a farmer's market just around the corner with everything you need, Hayle or Camborne are not far away.
A short drive brings you to the beautiful beaches of Hayle or Godgrevy.
The site is a perfect place to explore the environment like West Cornwall, Newquay, Padstow, St. Austell,. Or hikes on the coastal Pathes like Lizard Point, the Minack Theatre, Land's End,.
We definitely plan to come back!

Spent eight nights at this very friendly, well kept site - nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Good, clean facilities with plenty of hot water. Plenty of space for kids to run around. It has it's own football field where kids get together for a game.
The Sunday morning Car Boot at Hayle is big and worth a visit. Lots to see and do in the area - could have stayed much longer.

Stayed here for a week, the camp site and staff was excellent, couldn't fault it, unlike the weather. Is in a ideal position to explore St Ives, Turo, Newquey, Hayle, and Penzance.
The shop stocked basics such as milk, bread etc. The toilets/shower block was spotlessly clean even when the weather was bad, and he showers was some of the best we have used on the many campsites we have stayed at.
Access from the A30 should normally be very good, but when we was there, the road works on the A30 was a nightmare at times, and caused long delays at times!

Stayed for one night - wish we had had longer!
Warm welcome, good dry pitches. Clean facilities with plenty of hot water, toilets, showers, washing machines, driers and a washing line.
Small caring and family run site off the beaten track but access to beach within 10 minutes and shopping likewise. Pubs, restaurants and takeaways less than 10 minutes away.
Highly recommended - will be back.

Situated near Hayle and St Ives this site was in a really good place. A shame that you cannot walk but the beaches are only ten minute dive away. It is walking distance to a restaurant and farm shop.
What a perfect site, no disco, bar, just peace and quiet. There is lots of green space. The pitches are large and areas sectioned off into small groups of campers. There is one toilet/shower block. This is always being cleaned and is really homely.
There is a laundry room and there is information about the area. There are also sinks undercover for washing up. At the top of the drive there is a chalet that sells papers and milk, sweets, basics.
There are books that you can borrow and read during the stay. There is an area for ball games for the children too.
Duncan the owner is always about to answer any questions and the place is so clean and welcoming. He also advised of a caravan storage place nearby who will tow the caravan to which ever site!
We are going back this year.

What a lovely friendly campsite. The owners and staff make you feel so very welcome and that nothing is too much trouble.
There is a nice lot of space around your pitch and the showers and toilets are spotlessly clean. The outlook from the park is lovely and the surroundings quiet.
It was great to be able to order my newspaper and to have my freezer blocks refrozen.
Thanks for making my stay so good.

We have been coming here for 5 years now and this is (in our view) the best site I have ever stayed on. We have come to meet many new friends who come here year in year out. The showers and washrooms are always spotless, the site is quiet at night but friendly and busy in the day, it has some amazing walks around it.
The owners are always helpful (we think of them as friends now.) and lynda knows all the local 'hotspots'. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome. Pubs are not far, some walkable however a torch at night for along the country road would be a good idea.

Stayed on this site for 4 days in August 2008, arrived late in the night(1 am )so pitched up by football pitch and was not charged for this, owners are so accommodating and very friendly. Toilet/shower block really clean all the time, showers really great, owner enjoys his mower, keeps pitches really nice, play area adequate, shop with essentials was fine, prices average, enjoyed all 4 days, will definitely go there again.

This is a very well kept, quiet site just outside of Hayle in West Cornwall, and ideal for visiting the Lizard, Helston, St Ives, Land End and Penzance area. It accommodates tents & touring vans with hook ups. There are no mobile homes on site, and the nearest beach is about 2-3 miles away. Discounted rates are offered for couples out of the school holiday season. There's 2 organic farm shops nearby, and pubs in the local villages. A retail park has opened down the road on the outskirts of Hayle with Next, M&S and Boots & Costa Coffee
The pitches are a reasonable size, some being in areas bordered by hedges. The facilities are pleasant and spotlessly clean-an earlier review suggests that the showers were cold, but we haven't found this, and have been visiting this site since 2004. You regularly encounter the owners during the day, mowing pitches and generally ensuring that the toilet block/laundry area is clean & tidy & well stocked with soap, paper towels etc.
There are some 'Little Tikes' toys near the toilet block, and a football pitch and table tennis table area away from the pitches-there's nothing like a badly aimed ball landing on your 'van roof to ruin your holiday!
The site shop carries the basics-milk, sugar tea bags etc, and the owners will order newspapers for the following day. There's also a 'library' of an assortment of books which can be borrowed and exchanged for your own cast offs if you like.
The dog owners amongst you will be pleased to learn there is a very pleasant dog walk around the park, and the area is criss crossed with public foot/bridle paths. The dog walk from the bottom of the park can be extended to make a longer walk circling the park via neighbouring farms & fields, which took me about an hour to walk at a steady pace. Apart from this, we were pleased to learn that many of the local beaches previously prohibiting dogs are now allowing them from 7pm-8am.
The owners & staff are unfailingly helpful & friendly & will suggest places to visit etc. We were here during the terrible storms in 2004 when many campers were washed out by the storms, and the owners bent over backwards to try & help people out.
I would happily recommend this park, whether it's just a couple of you in a tent touring the area or if you want a base for your family holiday in your caravan. The park is quiet, especially after 9pm, and the proprietor (Duncan) tours the park later in the evening to make sure all is ok, and is especially vigilant if there's bad weather.
The fact that we've been visiting since 2004, and will be happy to return should tell you Higher Trevaskis is well worth a visit!

I have stayed at this site a number of times over the past years & found that it ticks all the boxes for me. The prices are excellent inclusive of 2 people & one car. Duncan, Johanna and Linda are welcoming & friendly.
The pitches are well maintained & have excellent drainage. The booking office doubles up as a shop where you can buy all the basics at reasonable prices. On arrival let them know what newspaper you want and they will order it for you for the duration of your stay.
The toilet & shower blocks have power points for electric shavers and plenty of hot water & are cleaned regularly to a high standard and always have toilet paper.
There is also a utility room & washing up area. There is a large area where the kids can play ball games & table tennis well away from the pitches but close enough to the booking office so they can be watched by the staff for safety.
The site is only a ten minute drive from Hayle center and there are petrol stations close by. Also there are some excellent pubs within walking distance (20 minutes) where you can get anything from a bar snack to a 3 course meal.
Also there is a fish & chip shop 5 minutes away by car. Last of all you can take your dog with you. I think it was £1 a night for the dog the last time I was there.
Looking forward to the next time
