This site is my idea of heaven in fact a photo of the sun setting over the trees was my screensaver for ever.
We were the only campers on the site which is actual an uncultivated area at the end of the farmers field.
Be warned there is no hook up and facilities are very basic and near the farmhouse away from the field.
The owners are friendly and allowed us to use the tennis court behind their house which was fun.
We visited west Midlands safari park whilst here but lots around and about don't miss out on the wonderful farm & butchers up the road, their meat is beautiful.

We stayed in two small tents in the middle of August. We would echo the comments made by 'Quinnys' - the shower is surprisingly effective, even though it is a bit of a walk from the camping field.
The owner of the site was extremely friendly, which made for a really relaxing stay. We were able to get (very) fresh milk from the farmhouse - apparently destined for Cadbury's, where they are also able to provide eggs. Nearby farms provide other food if required. We were even lent a walking map for one of the days of our stay.
We too had a very pleasant encounter with Willow the labrador who was less interested in the sausages we were cooking and more interested in the next person to throw her ball for her.
All in all a very relaxing weekend. Would recommend.

We visited the site with another family the Tuesday following the bank holiday. We were the only people there and it was lovely. The pitches are at the bottom end of a field just off the main track down to the farmhouse. The shower and toilet facilities are at the farmhouse, so it was a bit of a trek, especially for the kids. The facilties were very basic, but the shower was fantastic. We could use the kitchen at the back of the farmhouse to wash up if we so wished. The owner was very polite and friendly as was the labrador who kept the children amused. We were allowed to build a camp fire which made it a real camping experience for us. I would recommend the site, especially if you want to go as a group, a really nice setting ... we had a great time.
