It is a very small, very quite site ideal for getting away from it all. Toilets and shower were basic but clean, but after all I didn't book 5*. Owners were very helpful and friendly the site is ideally placed to walk around Thetford Forest about 15mins walk away. Would use again

First time me and my family stayed here, what a surprise the owners Jane and Peter welcomed us on to the site, it was only 15 pitches but it was a lovely clean site. Toilet and shower bloke was very clean , it was very peaceful and the other holiday makers where very friendly, I would highly recommend this site to every one even if you have children. We were away from the main road so children will be very safe on the site. The local people was very friendly and the pubs was lovely. The only noise we had was the farmers on there farm next to the site, but that was a joy to watch them harvest their fields. Jane and peter what a lovely couple, I even brought fresh vegetables from Jane that she grows herself. We will be back next year for another holiday only this time I hope for two weeks because one week was not enough to see all Norfolk, and we all loved the site so much.

First time we have been to this site and found it very nice.
The toilet/shower block was an added bonus, although I felt at times a bit more attention to cleaning would have been an advantage.
The site is peaceful and there are some walks outside the site for walking your dog.
There is a narrow lane on the approach to the camp site but we found this ok as it is a straight lane so you can see before turning into the lane if there are other vehicles/outfits coming.
Will return again
Owners Response: Cleaning is an area where we find it very frustrating as campsite owners, most but not all campers clear up the mess that create after themselves and some leave the facilities in an awful mess after using them, we try but cannot be behind every camper as they leave the washrooms, our motto is "if you like it clean when you use the facilities be considerate to others by cleaning up your mess ready for the next person"

A lovely quiet site, good clean facilities, and friendly owners. We spent 2 nights here and cycled a fair bit - it's handy for exploring Thetford Forest. Also close to Thetford for shops etc. Very reasonable pitch fees, the only gripe would be the lack of hot water for washing dishes. Not sure whether there is a freezer for ice packs either - we weren't there long enough to worry about finding out, but I'd want to know before staying any longer than a couple of nights. I'd definitely recommend this site though.
Owners Response: We are planning on installing a water heater for the outside dish-washing facility (due for late 2010) although there is hot water in the washrooms just a few yards away and lots of campers help themselves to the hot water if they are bothered about washing up in cold water! We do offer Ice pack freezing, there is a notice on the board showing this facility.

Just spent two nights at this lovely little campsite, definitely one for those seeking peace and quiet. Only 15 pitches, no clubhouse, no play area, no noise. Owners Jane and Peter very friendly and helpful. Well worth the money too, only £9.75 per night(great value). Would highly recommend this site for those shall we say slightly older campers, we will definitely be back very soon.

Lovely peaceful site. Very friendly even though we were the only people on site. Choose this site as we were going to Go Ape for my sons birthday. Facilities very clean although rather cold at this time of year, could have done with a small wall heater to take the chill off. Shower very reasonable as 2 people managed to shower for a pound. Used The Dog and Partridge pub just down the road, very welcoming and lovely food and very reasonably priced.

This is a nice small secluded site. I was warmly welcomed and shown to my pitch. The facilities were clean and adequate & the pitch was flat.
I found the other campers on site very friendly indeed and would like to say a special thanks to John & Shirley who invited me to dinner and looked after me after a ride down from Holkham that day (i am a solo cycle tourer).
Very quiet and peaceful place.
£9-50 for the pitch was on the high side but I was happy there.
Owners Response: This was another very busy week-end, we took pity on this camper and we managed to squeeze 'Cyclebloke' in otherwise we would have to had to turn him away, also the generosity of John and Shirley who are regular visitors 'who fed and watered' Cyclebloke' I would have thought would have more than made up for the seemingly high pitch price. We have recently introduced a backpacker / hitchhiker pitch fee to allow campers such as 'Cyclebloke' to enjoy our facilities without having to pay full pitch rate.

This is a super little site, very friendly and very neat and clean, normally it is very quiet with virtually no traffic noise. Occasionally muffled explosions when the army is practising in the forest, but you would get this at any site in the area and it's not that obtrusive! We will definitely be back! Only niggle is no hot water at washing up sink!
Owners Response: We are planning on installing a water heater for the outside dish-washing facility (due for late 2010) although there is hot water in the washrooms just a few yards away and lots of campers help themselves to the hot water if they are bothered about washing up in cold water!

Lovely little campsite and friendly owners. As previous reviewers have said the campsite has excellent facilities and is nearby to the local towns / shops - 24 hour Tesco (except Sunday) at Watton is only 5 mins away!
Take at look at the notice board (both sides) as it also has lots of ideas for things to do nearby.
We chose this site as it is only 10 mins away from Snetterton race track (came for the Touring car races)- however, we enjoyed the site so much we hope to return in the future.

This is a super little site. If you want peace and quiet with lovely good toilets / shower it is ideal. We have had an excellent couple of days at the site which is close enough to Thetford for walking in the forest (7 miles), close to The Peddars Way and Dereham is a lovely maket town for shopping close by too. The site is very reasonably priced.
