Just returned from this site. We booked a few months back for the bank holiday weekend. Most sites were fully booked so this was pretty much all that was left. We wanted to stay Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We were told only 4 night breaks available at the cost of £100. This obviously made it £ 33.00 per night for us ! We booked and paid a £ 50.00 deposit. 4.Oopm on Friday after noon we had a phone call to ask if we were going to be much longer as reception closed at 5.00pm. We thought this was bad on Bank Holiday weekend. When we arrived our pitch number and shower tokens had been left in the phone box for us. We drove around the site and managed to locate. It was in the middle of a very sloppy field with no tarmac entrance. We tried several different ways to get at it but even in our four wheel drive jeep we just got stuck in the mud and churned up the ground. Eventually we drove around again and came in from the top. We felt it was really bad that no one was at reception to advise us of the best way to get to the pitches as the field was full of mud due to the bad weather.
Our pitch was in a slant. We managed to get the caravan just about level. The awning was completely mud bath with all the water from the top of the field running into it.
The site itself was full and was quite noisy with families party until gone midnight and children up at the crack of dawn running around screaming.
The extra charges for the showers and 10p for washing up we felt was bad as we had paid so much for the site.
On a positive note the site is centrally located for Tenby and Saundersfoot. There is a pleasant walk through the valley down to the beach. The local shop is only 5 mins walk away and well stocked

Spent a week on this site. The weather was terrible (rain) and the pitches were soaked. Our motorhome didnt fit on the hard standing, and we had a small stream of water running under it which resulted in not being able to get on or off. Yes we did get 3.5 tonne stuck in the mud, and the lower pitches were closed. I think beside the pitches sloping, the Lailandii trees casted such a shadow the ground had no chance to dry out. I think they may have been put there to stop the traffic noise.
When we had to fill our water tank up the tap was useless. It was just a normal tap, not one with grooves so the hose kept shooting off. Also it wasnt even a twist tap, you had to hold it down to keep the water coming out which made it a 2 man job. Difficult at that and I got soaked more than once.
The showers were ok, except for the spiders. Oh and if you went there on your own the lights were movement activated, which leaves you showering in the dark, as they dont pick movement up in the shower. They also have codes on the doors, which would be easy to remember if they were the same. Kids arent allowed to use them by themselves which was a pain.
The washing machines and dryers. I thought this was a brill idea, esp with all the mud around! The washers are £2 for a 30min wash, and the driers work out to be 20p for around 4 mins. This was a REALLY needed facility. I couldnt understand why they were only open 8am to 5pm? No one wants to do their washing between those times! When asked why they couldnt leave them open any longer the reply was 'to stop kids hanging around as theres money in the machines'. We recommended a key code on the door as the showers have the same locks, and also hold money.
The kids enjoyed the play ground, and there was a large area for ball games.
My boys went to the cafe for a egg sandwich. They said it was two pound something each!
There is also a little cove, and beach that is absolutely stunning down a little path behind the statics. There you will find a cave, with an over-hanging waterfall. It doesnt belong to the site but its worth the (steep and hairy) walk!
Tenby was lovely and so was Saundersfoot which happened to be a bit cheaper.
The area was absolutely beautiful

Booked on the site for a week with my family and got back yesterday, 8 august. Two girls aged 10. Unfortunately the weather was pretty poor with rain on all but three days meaning we left after 6 nights having heard the forecast for the day of departure was poor. Other families had opted to do the same as the field we were in was getting rather sodden. Other campers were able to borrow plywood etc for the entrance to their tents and the run on to the fields had boards put down to stop them churning up too much. The field was very wet as we left and I'd certainly not want to be pitching a tent there now. There are two fields allocated just for tents and we were in the top one. Despite that the site struck me as well maintained and kept. Rubbish bins were emptied daily, the on site diner appeared to be decent value though we didn't eat there. There's a nice pleasant walk as long as your able bodied down to a secluded little bay.
Might have been something to do with the weather but I never once had to queue for a toilet, shower or washing up facilities. The showers I found to be excellent. Nice and hot (a little too hot for my kids)with a good time length. Downside to the facilities are the light in the toilet is turned off at approx 8.30am and the gents are really dark as result. It wouldn't take a rocket scientist to sort this. I also get a little peeved at having paid £180 for my pitch for the week to then have to scrabble round for 10p to get water to wash up.And you don't get much, maybe a couple of inches in my washing up bowl. Similarly with the showers. Why do I have to pay further. What does my £180 include? I didn't have to do this in France last year and don't recall seeing hordes of kids mucking about or adults taking all day in the showers. Maybe they could offer provide a certain number of free tokens such as 1 per person per day.If you want more then you can purchase them.Isn't it funny how when you need 10p pieces for the washing up you never get any in your change anywhere!
I don't want to sound entirely negative about the site (I did actually like it) but nowhere on it's web site or in any of the reviews here have I seen mention of the traffic noise! The top field we were in wasn't too far from a busy road and as result the traffic noise can be very intrusive.Particularly at night when you're trying to sleep. Nevertheless I eventually got used to it.Or was it the constant rain that drowned the traffic noise out?! Be warned though if you want a quiet and peaceful site find one in the countryside not one next to an A road. I'll finish my comments on the site with a positive. The playground was nice and large, well maintained and enjoyed by my kids as were the occasional sightings of rabbits and the bats at night.
Local facilities include a Londis store which whilst pricey certainly had a good range of stock. How many other shops of it's type can you get loose olives in? If you want a wider choice then there's a Somerfield in Tenby open until 10pm. There's also a local pub that does meals. Everything is cooked to order according to their menu. It really did take just five minutes for our food, gammon steak and chips along with a curry and kids lasagne, to arrive. Either they've got an incredibly quick chef or the food was already cooked and waiting.
Best food I had was fish and chips in Tenby. Can't recall the name of the place but it's the one nearest to Somerfield, looks a bit grubby maybe but don't let that put you off. I've a good appetite and very rarely leave anything on my plate though the portions in that place defeated me. The kids meals at £3.60 were a great deal. A drink, a meal (proper chicken nuggets) and an ice cream tub. The kids loved the ice creams in the two italian places in Tenby. Both run by different branches of the Fecci family ( wonder what the story is there??)
I've never been to Pembrokeshire before but I'd certainly go again. I found Tenby to be a nice little place, nice beaches, good range of independent shops and unlike many town centres not dominated by the same branches of stores you can get in every other town centre. Other places well worth visiting include St Davids. I think the constant drizzle actually added something to the place and in particular the cathedral, Barafundle beach run by national trust was excellent though possibly not that accessible if you have a disability. If you hit a patch of bad weather, as we did, and you've got kids then Folly farm can be worth visiting as lots of the activities are undercover though I can imagine on a nice day it would be just as enjoyable.
So in summary.Would I use the site again? Yes but I'd try and order some better weather next time!

This is a well-kept site in a good location. Staff are very pleasant and helpful, toilets and showers immaculate. Shower tokens used to be free until recently, but now you buy the token for 20p which provides more than enough hot water for a good shower. There is a good childrens' play area and a well stocked Londis shop is just a 5 minute walk away. The bus stop to Tenby and Saundersfoot is outside the entrance to the site. A short woodland walk from the bottom of the site takes you to the delightful Waterwynch Bay.
The one criticism I have is that the hardstandings are very tiny, even the so-called 'super pitches' do not accomodate the four wheels of an average sized motorhome, they may possibly be big enough for a VW Type camper van. I cannot comment on the 'Diner' on the site as it has never been open when we have been there, I assume that it is open only at peak times and school holidays.

A very well presented site on the outskirts on Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Clean showers and toilets. Play area on site with shop and pub very short walk from site.
Pitches are sloping so you will need your levelling gear.

Stayed here last year for the season. Very nice, staff and the owner very plesant. The site is close to tenby, close to shops, and pub, and also near saundersfoot, also the field is very flat. With good walks, you cant go far wrong if you camp here.
The site caters for tourers camper vans, and tents, also has many farm animals and some rabits run wild. Showers are free and are hot some people have said that they are cold, but I have never found this true. Toilets are clean.

This was our first outing with our new large tunnel tent. On arrival staff were friendly and helpful and directed us to our pitch.Ground was still quite muddy but after all the rain, that was to be expected.
Size of the pitch was ok but some were slightly cramped and most were on a slight slope.
Showers were 20p for a token but water was nice and hot and you had plenty of time.Toilet block was kept clean but was quite dark during the day could use an extra window! Hot water for washing up was 10p.There was a chemical disposal point and the bins were emptied regularly and never allowed to overflow. The brochure stated no dogs in August but we saw several there but they did not cause us any problem.
There was a well equipped launderette on site and a diner which was open for breakfast and early evening. The diner also had ice pack freezing which is helpful. A 5-10 minute walk takes you to a well stocked Londis shop which sold lovely danish pastries! Also just further on was a steakhouse pub nice food reasonably priced.
The site is quite well situated within walking distance of Tenby although quite a hilly walk.
Overall a good site and we would probably stay here again if we were to come back toTenby.

2.a0First time on this site, nice quiet site pitches are on a slope. The entire site seems to be on a slope but it is kept nice and clean. Toilet facilities clean, showers not very hot. Wild rabbits are everywhere which the children enjoyed. A fox joined us for breakfast on our last day which was a bit scary but it just stood looking at us cooking, managed to get some nice photos of it. Nice playground. Pub close by that does nice meals but a bit on the expensive side. Londis store nearby, nice well stocked shop. Have been coming to saundersfoot for past seven years, lovely beeches plenty to do and places to visit. Easy to find your way around as everywhere is very well signposted.

Great campsite, I really enjoyed my stay here with my wife, Daughter(2) and Son (3months) It's very well kept, nice and clean and has some lovely views and access down to a quiet bay. Showers & Toilets were good once we sussed that the Dish wash Facilities were all-round better than the toilets near the reception area. Charging 10p for Washing up water is cheeky especially with the piddly amount you get too and after paying £20 per night too :(
But all in all enjoyed it Tenby was average I thought however Saundersfoot was really nice and some great local attractions for the kids Folly Farm being the best in my opinion well worth the trip.

Just got back from this lovely site. Stayed there for 3 nights over the bank holiday. Varied ages in our party, Myself (34) and hubby(37), mum (70), son(15), daughter (9). We usually go to commercial sites with everything on it but really needed a weekend away.peace!. On arrival, we were late and at the reception area, as they were closed they kindly left a list of what was your pitch number and a few shower tokens (20p each). Lovely feel to the site.nicely landscaped, nice hot showers which were spotless, a diner that we didn't use as we usually cook our own food in the caravan. Our daughter loved the park area and our son was happy to play football with a mate in an area just off the park. If you want a clean, peaceful getaway weekend, then this is the place for you. Would definitely go back.
