This was our second visit to Trevair as a group of Divers from Merseyside Sub Aqua Club.
Phil and Val were so helpful and accommodation last time, making sure we had an ideal spot for our mess tent away from most other campers. This year was no exception.
The Navy divers had occupied their usual space which meant we had to pitch on the far side of the field, which was not a problem as we could hook up to the electricity supply for our tents. 6 of us camped for 6 nights.
The facilities were well up to scratch with absolutely no grumbles on our part. Unfortunately our light hearted relief and exuberance at being back in Cornwall at last on the first night was greeted with a stern warning from Val, about noise, which was fair and taken with a good heart. Phil is a great guy and one of the most handy guys I have come across, he can turn his hand to almost anything. Get him to show you round the Compressor set up he put together - it will absolutely blow your mind - no pun intended!
Will be back for sure. Thanks to the guys from the Navy too, who gave us some great wreck marks over the week!

This site is in an excellent location, with both coasts being easily accessible.
It is an extremely sheltered site, which drains well.
There are no marked pitches, so once given your 'area' in which to pitch, you have loads of space. The kids are allowed to play games on the space left free on the site, which our boys loved.
The woods which back onto the site are lovely and its an easy walk through into them.
Owners are friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
Facilities are good, a little old fashioned, but kept clean. Four unisex showers, 10p for 3 mins. (The meters are a bit unusual as they are outside the shower cubicles).
Three washing up areas, one in the mens loo, one in the womens loo and one outside under cover.
Buster, the owners dog, an English Bull Terrier, is lovely. He is very docile and all of our boys loved visiting him in reception to scratch his chin!
Would we stay here again - most definitely.

I found this an odd site. I'm afraid first impressions count. I turned up about 915 and asked for a pitch for a 2 man tent. The lady owner then spent 10 mins pacing about the site with me in tow, uming and ahing about incoming bookings, complaining that she hadn't had her breakfast yet then eventually said, and I quote, 'I suppose I can sling you here'! For the 6 days I was there, the site was only about half full anyway. Pros - relatively cheap, well maintained facilities and pitches. Cons - unfriendly reception, no receipt for payment, odd things like washing up facilities in toilet block next to toilets, showers that are unisex.

This was a fantastic site, relaxed laid back. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The site looked lovely there weren't rows upon rows of pitches. You were given a general boundary and worked out what suited you best. The toilets and showers were clean. 10p for 3 mins in the shower just be aware that the first 3 mins is generally spent waiting for the hot water to come through.

We have just returned from a glorious week in Cornwall. This site made it for us,the owners, Phil and Val are so helpful and friendly but in fairness if you do anything against the rules they will let you know. I find this approach makes it fair to all visitors.
The shower and toilet blocks are spotless. 10p meter on the shower will give 3 mins. This hasn't changed since they were installed. How's that for zero inflation!
The site is sheltered, grassy and surrounded by lovely woodland and fields, the only noise you will hear on a night are any passing owls.
It is central for touring the Penwith area and all it's wonderful attractions. There is no shop on site but plenty of amenities in Penzance and Hayle both roughly 5 miles.
Access is good for caravans and trailered boats. Also Divers take note, Phil provides re Gas on site so you're already to go the next day !
One last thing 'Buster' the owners dog is hilarious !
This is a hidden gem with fantastic value for money. We just can't wait to go again !

We have Just got back from a 7 night stay at this site and have to say we were extremely impressed by the site. Wardens are very friendly and helpful and work very hard to keep the site extremely clean, the toilets are always fresh and airy and very very clean and the showers are very well kept. Often saw owner around cleaning and re-stocking toilets, she even goes in late in evenings so you wake up to fresh toilets.
The pitches are very well spread out so you have plenty of room to play ball games etc with kids and also have some privacy, there are some beautiful plants all over the park and lovely trees including some nice apple tress. Wardens have a lovely dog and some nice Guinea fowl to watch which my little girl loved.
Tesco and morrisons are a short drive away, there is a lovely woodland area at the back of the park which with a short walk leads to a BMX track where some old mines used to be.
We took a BBQ with out thinking about the fact it was not high enough to stop grass burning under it but they provided a stand which we thought was fantastic.
Also provided was wash bowl drainer and washing liquid, Only 1 thing I missed was some hand dryers in the toilets but with everything else being so perfect I cant complain. Showers are 10p for 3 min but 2/3X 10p is plenty to get clean even with me and my little 5 yr old in with me, Over all A fantastic Touring park and I would recommend to every one, We will def be going back next year. Had a brilliant time
Over all a fantastic site

An absolutely brilliant campsite. It is easy to find and close to the A30 for easy access to Penzance. The surrounding area and campsite is beautiful with clean toilets, showers and washing up areas.
As a diving party having a filling station was incredibly useful. However the friendly owners who saved the holiday (helped fix our boat, tents and no end of great advice) really made it exceptional.
And on top of all that it's cheap to stay!

--------------------------------------
That is more than 10 years we are back in the family site, well situated for visiting the tip of Cornwall (Penzance, St Ives, Mount St. Michael, Land's End) and the tail Lizard.
If you are looking for peace and tranquillity, if you love nature and contact with birds, the place to ask, contact is easy with the other campers; The owners are very friendly and available any time, so you will be well.
The access is easy for motor homes, the road is wide
The campsite is well sheltered from the wind unlike many farm campsites on the coast.
A good place to visit by the tip of Cornwall

Wonderful site. I stayed four nights with my girlfriend in a two-man tent.
There are separate male and female toilet blocks, each with a washing-up sink (there's also a separate 'unisex' washing up sink as well).
There is also a separate shower block - four showers, unisex.
If you want a ten-minute shower you will need four x 10p coins.
The site is situated about a mile from the nearest village - the nearest supermarket is four miles away in Penzance.
The facilities are very well taken care of, no cobwebs or dust in site.
It's a nice quiet site, there's no play facilities for children.
The owners are fantastic, really friendly, plus they'll freeze your cool-blocks for free.
Can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be going again.

What a fantastic site Trevair is. It's quiet-secluded and relaxing. It has immaculately clean toilets and showers (which are coin operated) so make sure you have plenty of 10ps although we found 20p was adequate.
There is an area for washing up and a disposal unit for washing up water and chemicals and also a washing machine and drier and every area is immaculately clean with plenty of water taps around the site and electric hook ups
Val and Phil are lovely people who are very helpful and cheerful there are guinea fowl and pheasants roaming around and add Buster the dog and Midnight the cat to the 'Itinerary' and you have yourself a fantastic place to enjoy. We will definitely be returning later in the year.
