We used this campsite for a couple of nights when we were touring and it's lovely. It's quiet, with good clean facilities [although dated - the owner proudly told me she hadn't decorated the ladies' loos in twenty-five years!] and plenty of room. We had EHU which meant we were up near the house - bigger groups without EHU were down the far end of the field, but still not far. The showers were good with adjustable temperature - a must with a small child, so many campsites like to scald children - and twenty pence gave plenty of time. The owners will do ice packs for you. There's no shop and no playground, but we knew this before we arrived and it was fine. You just have to be organised and not run out of milk!
My daughter loved the guinea fowl which roamed freely [she still talks about them now], and the pheasants which joined in, as well as listening to the occasional owl at night. Our dog was welcomed, although we were requested to keep him out of sight of the owners' dog who would apparently get growly if he saw another dog on site. We managed this fine, despite our dog doing his houdini impression from the tent one day! There's a nice little wood on one side of the camping field where you can walk your dog if you need to. We found most of the local beaches not dog friendly in high summer this far south in Cornwall.
The owners recommended the local pubs in the nearest village, and they were excellent. The food was very good and they were dog friendly too. But get there early in the evening as they're very popular.
I would recommend this campsite for a lovely quiet holiday, whether touring or staying longer.

We visited this site during the Bank holiday weekend, upon arrival we were greeted cordially and made to feel welcome. The site is accessed easily following sat nav from the A30 without any fear and trepidation! The site is well laid out with masses of space between each unit this is a real bonus however it is gently sloping in places.
The toilet and shower facilities are clean and well maintained throughout the day, showers are spacious with plenty of room to manoeuvre, metered taking 10p's ladies might need more! The shower block is a shared experience as it is unisex. There are very good washing facilities which includes an industrial sized washing machine and separate tumble drier, there is also a sink for washing wet suits. A dish washing area is provided under cover --useful for the typical summers we are getting. Being the owners of a springer spaniel it was ideally situated for some excellent walks both off the site and within a short distance away.Long Rock beach with free parking and dog friendly is about 10mins drive from the site. Once there a lovely walk along the sea front takes you to Penzance town centre.
We would definitely return to the site and can recommend the peaceful surroundings.

Just returned from two fantastic weeks staying in one of the static caravans. The caravan was absolutely spotless and was well equipped with everything we needed. We we're very impressed with the whole site. Val keeps everywhere meticulously clean and Phil makes sure the grass is kept well mown and everything is in order. The laundrette came in really useful too. They also now have two lovely holiday cottages on the site which looked great and were equally well kept.
There is a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere on the site with plenty of space for the children to play and make friends and all the other campers were very considerate. The owners (Phil and Val) were great, very helpful and friendly and the location of the site is perfect for visiting all the local attractions (there are loads of leaflets in the caravan and by the showers with plenty of ideas for whatever the weather). There are so many beautiful beaches nearby (our favourite was Praa Sands)and there is a lovely play park for the children by the beach in Marazion. Can also recommend a great little pub with the best views of Mounts Bay called the Fire Engine Inn in Marazion (a few minutes by car).
I must note that even though we had a couple of very rainy days, the grass drained really well and didn't get boggy at all. Also, in relation to the previous comments about the guinea fowl, they didn't make much noise at all and the children enjoyed seeing them. Phil also locks them up at night.
We cannot recommend this site highly enough - well kept, very clean, friendly owners, great location, great people. We loved it so much that we've already booked again for next year! In fact, many of the people we met there go back year after year, which speaks volumes about the site and the owners. Thanks for a great holiday, can't wait to come back next year!

Fantastic camp site ! in a beautiful location. Phil & Val were very helpful and welcoming. Lots of space. Good clean facilities, however don't forget to have plenty of 10p's for the shower. Couldn't fault the site at all. Everyday the cat came to say hello, so did the guinea fowl, but watching Phil drag the dog back from his walk is just priceless! Any questions please ask, they are a wealth of knowledge on the local area. The campsite is a perfect base to explore the area.
Read the local newspaper and get money off vouchers. We saved £20 on a sailing to the Scilly Isles, well worth a visit. If you go, use Penzance railway station for the carpark as its only £2.20 per day. We also went to St Ives on the train from St Erth station 5 minutes drive. If you get chance go over to Falmouth, have a drink and just watch the boats sailing by. We'll be back !

This was my second visit to this site. The site was full when I first went 3 yrs ago and nearly empty this time. Both times though I found the facilities spotless and well thought out. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There is a nice atmosphere about this site. It seems to attract friendly, considerate campers. The price at £5 per person was very reasonable for a well kept site. Facilities - a mostly flat site, indoor loos & sinks. Separate unisex showers with local attraction brochures at the entrance. Local village - Marizion 1.5 miles with shops, pubs - 1 with live entertainment on certain nights, fish and chip shop and boat trips. No on-site entertainment except watching the dog on the leach watching the cat roam free, the guinea fowl, the pheasants and the rabbits.

When we arrived at Trevair Touring Site the location seemed perfect, albeit a little smaller than anticipated and more like a huge back garden than a proper site. The toilets, showers & site seemed clean. The pitch site was surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Everything looked orderly and in its right place.
Apart from the car park & toilets the site access was next to the owners house with a huge old railway type gate barring entry. The owners acted as sentries ensuring that only approved vehicles could gain access, although quite a few sneaked on whilst the owners were not looking.
Guinea Foul ranged around the site and specifically where we were staying. They could be endearing or annoying depending if you liked birds or not. Barbecue's were not allowed without permission.
Tesco's, Morrison's, and a fish & chip shop could be found only a few miles away. Nearby access to lovely beaches made this location excellent.

Nice clean and tidy site. Although it is not a quiet site with the guinea fowl running around! so don't expect a lie in. Good wash room facilities although it could benefit from some more washing up facilities as there is often a wait when it was quite busy. The owners made their presence known all of the day so you could always find them. Overall a lovely site in a fab location, although you may get the distinct impression that you were imposing yourself on their home and garden as opposed to staying in a maintained campsite.

Nice site, clean facilities although you have to pay (10p's) for showers. Also free ice pack freezing, but you have to ask at the house to give / receive them back, so you may have to wait till the owners are about to fetch them - although they never seemed far away. We stayed right by the house by the entrance which was handy for toilets but we felt a bit like in their back garden. Also kept getting visited by the cat, dog and guinea foul (noisy little things). Location excellent for north coast (St Ives*) and 1 hour walk (~4 miles) to south-coast Marizion and St Michaels Mount. *NOTE - if going to St Ives drive to Lelant park and ride and get train in. There's no/little parking in St Ives and the train ride is quite nice. It cost us £4 per adult. Also could stop off at Carbis Bay I think if you wanted to. Got a free leaflet from St Ives TIC with a rough map in to use on walk from campsite to coast - called "The Four Parish Walk." On whole a nice site that I'd recommend. (No shop or other entertainment.)

A lovely place to stay for our 5 days. Convienient for all places around the bottom of the south west coast. NO entertainment which is a bonus as its a beautifully relaxing place to put your house on wheels or house in pegs for a few days. Friendly owners and friendly people staying there. I send my love to midnight the cat!

What a lovely park. I went there with my hubby and just one of our children we had a lovely time there. The shower / toilets were immaculate. Very friendly owners. It's set in lovely well kept grounds behind small woods which you can walk into and its right in the middle of no- where which was perfect. There's not much on the park no shop or bar etc that's why we went there as its great for getting away from it all. They also had a washing machine and tumble drier there which was handy.
I would definitely recommend this site and will be going back there at some point.
