Great site and worth all the praise that has been given by previous reviews. Excellent management by the site owners, clean, tidy, well planned, good size pitches, standard pitch all well sheltered from the islands wind/sea breeze. Great washroom/ toilets, plenty of showers, we visited during first two weeks of school holidays and the campsite was full, however I never queued for a shower at anytime even at peak times, the water was always hot, controllable showers that you could just turn on. A great new children's shower too!
Useful on site shop, free Wifi, eggs from the chickens, great play area and heated swimming pool
All in all a fantastic site and one that we will return to.
Gurnesey is a great place for a family holiday, superb beaches, our favourite was Port Soif on the West coast, but all the beaches were good. We had a great meal at a little Italian called La Perla by the tourist information in St Peter Port. 3 courses Meals for £10, we only found it just before we got the boat home, might need to book in evening, good view of harbour from upstairs. It doesn't look much from the outside, but food and service was fantastic. Try a trip to Herm, pick a sunny day to make the most of the beach. We had a great holiday coming back well rested and chilled. Word of advice for those on Fast Ferry If you take small children given them travel sickness tables before hand they seemed to be the ones who suffered the most on the crossing

Stayed here for four nights whilst Island hopping exploring the Channel Islands.
One of the best run campsites we have been to. The pre erected tents were excellent, well maintained, fully equipped clean and well spaced and situated.
The owners were really helpful and friendly.
The site facilities were clean well maintained and included a great TV room, a games room, washing machines and driers, free to use irons and hairdriers, clean free hot showers, a site shop with internet facilities and a swimming pool.
The location of the site is great for exploring Guernsey which was our favourite Island of the larger Channel Islands - the locals were really friendly and the scenery was fantastic.
We don't usually visit the same place twice but we will definitely be going back here for longer in the future.

We have been to Fauxquets vally farm campsite many times, it has got to be the best campsite in the channel islands. The area around the site is fantastic, it is an ideal base for everything. The site is clean and well maintained, owners are fantastic, and now their children seem to run the site and are doing a first class job.
There are plenty of places to eat out at that are not to far away, about a 20 minute walk you will come across the Fleur de Jarden, a nice pub with good food and a great garden. Also Vazon bay has a great Chinese, you can eat in or take away. What I would like to know is why the beaches are never full? The beaches are great. To sum it up, a great island, great food, great campsite, and lovely people, a must to visit.

Having been to guernsey before we decided to have a go camping. Everything from the booking to departure was an absolute dream. The site itself is settled on a rural lane 10 mins from st peter port signed from the main road. Having parked & booked in we were given a site plan with all the available pitches and sizes and told to select any vacant site we liked, nice not to be told for once. The grounds were very well kept with plenty of water taps dotted around, the toilet / shower blocks were imaculate as was the washing & laundery facilities all obviously cleaned on a regular basis. The swimming pool is well situated, sun loungers are available, with a lawned area all fenced in by a high hedge and gate making it an excellent sun trap and very secure keeping small children from entering unaccompanied. The children's play area was well equiped and fairly modern again fenced off for security, there is a tv and a games room but we never used them. The owners Roland & Teresa were very welcoming and helpful especially as we could stay on the site a while longer on the last day as we had a late ferry home. Being on a country lane it is very peaceful although you are not far the beaches and night life a small drive or taxi ride away. There are a few pubs probably 10 min walk away. There are limited shops in the immediate area but the site shop stocks virtually everything you would need.
I can't praise this site enough and the only down points are minor, the site shop had limited opening, however there was a bell to be used if anything was needed. The other thing was the limited lighting at night although not a major problem. I would recommend this site to anyone, single back packers, couples or like us families with small kids & teenagers offering excellent value for money we will definitely be staying here again

We went to visit friends at this campsite last week & we were so impressed that I've now booked a 2 week stay there in our own tent during August. We were very lucky to get in so late as they were pretty much fully booked throughout!
The campsite is really well landscaped and feels very private. It is located in a valley towards the west of the island within rural lanes & down a track.
It looked clean, well equipt, well organised & it was lovely seeing children enjoying themselves so much.
It has a large grassed area with Football Goals on (much to my Son's delight), a well equiped, updated children's play area, games room, tv room, restaurant / cafe, shop for all neccesseties (the children loved the pic n mix type sweets!)
Family & Friends often have meals in the Haybarn restaurant which we have been told the food is very good, so we're looking forward to a few meals in there.
The shower / toilet block was very clean & well laid out in a row of toilet cubicles, opposite a row of sink cubicles & the other side a row of shower cubicles. In the entrance to the block were the washing facilities on one side and a room with mirrors / hair dryers & a row of Ironing boards / irons all ready to be used.
The enclosed pool looked lovely and very inviting. Plenty of seating around the pool too and gates to the pool with a latch high enough for the little one's not to be able to reach.
I noticed plenty of taps & lights around the site and the lady in the shop / office was very friendly & helpful.
They even had internet / email access from there at £1 for half an hour which made my decision to book! With running a business locally we just couldn't take time off from working to go on holiday so this is a great alternative for us.
I can log on and check email's / orders etc & just pop home every day to sort out / dispatch the orders.
We were concerned that they may not be able to accomodate our tent due to the size but they said it wasn't a problem. It may be that we might just have to park our car in the car park (1 min walk away) rather than right next to our tent.
We were told that we would have a choice of at least 3 pitches as they always keep 2 spare for choice. Campers get to choose their pitch as they arrive so the earlier you arrive on the day the better choice you'll have!
I'm a little dubious at only having a 6amp supply of electricity but not bad at £2.50 per day.
We can't wait to go, I've made my never ending check list & the Children are very excited. I shall leave another review once we have returned!

This is a very good, well run campsite. We stayed here for 6 nights in our own tent. The season hadn't really got underway, and only some 10 other pitches were occupied. The site was quite rural and very peaceful. The only noise was the airport some 2 miles away, but there are no night flights and it wasn't intrusive. The location was quite central, and all of the island could be reached easily. The nearest beach was about a mile and a half's walk down some quiet lanes.
The site was on a gently sloping valley side. The pitches were level, grassed, with some low hedges for privacy, and sheltered by trees around the perimeter. There were adequate water points, and electric outlets around the site.
We didn't use any of the facilities other than the toilet block. That was always very clean, with excellent showers providing free unrestricted hot water. The washing up area was undercover, and all was well lit at night.
The proprieters were very welcoming, and friendly. They even managed to find an inner for our tent when we discovered that we'd failed to pack ours. (They rent ready erected Cabanon tents)
The site does accomodate school parties in the summer holidays, and would probably get quite busy in July and August.

My wife and I went with our three children aged nine, seven and eighteen months though the weather was wet the children enjoyed themselves and found things to do. The site was clean and tidy with a good clean toilet block and showers and would love to go back again when the weather is a little kinder.

We've just returned from Fauxquets and will definitely be back! The site is very pleasant with pitches grouped in landscaped areas. The facilities were spotless at all times and there were no queues for toilets, showers or washing up. There are 2 washing machines (£1.50 per wash) and 1 dryer, but there is also a clothes drying area, just take your own pegs. There are 2 irons that can be used for free. The on-site bar and restaurant was nice with the usual bar food (scampi, burgers etc.) and 1 special announced on blackboards every morning. The specials cost £6.95 each, but they were all meat based except for 1 day last week so we only ate there once, although that once was lovely! The bar is also open for breakfast and coffee during the morning. There is a small shop selling bread, milk, yoghurt etc. (order bread the day before) that is open 8.30 - 10.30 and 17.00 - 19.00. You can pick up a parking disc there (essential for Guernsey where on street parking is free, but you do need a parking disc) for a £1 deposit and return it at the end of your stay. There is also a freezer for freezing your ice-blocks, but the site charges the same for freezing your own ice blocks as for hiring theirs so it isn't really worth taking your own. The EHU worked fine, but is only 6amp so you do need to uplug everything else if you want to boil a kettle. The site owners are very friendly and were a mine of local information! We can't recommend this site highly enough!

Been on this site twice in 2005 and 2006. The site owners are very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was very good. Child friendly site this includes restaurant, play area and swimming pool. Small shop open every day. Easy access to all of the island. Can catch bus 10mins down the road to go round island if you wish. No problem getting a trailer tent / folding camper on the site. We did worry about the narrow road in the Island but we had no problems at all. Would recommend this site to other people no problems.

August 2005 The site was alittle difficult to find from st Peters Port. Though once we arrived we were greeted by the campsite owners who are very friendly. The site is geared more to tents so some of the pitches would not have suitable for our folding camper. The pitch we had was large and had a great view over the bay which was 5 minutes drive away. The toilet and shower facilities are cleaned daily. The swimming pool opened at 10 till 6 and was great to keep the kids amused and also had lots of sun loungers. You can order bread and newspapers at the campsite shop. The electric hookup was only 10 amps so you always had to turn things off to use something else which as we had paid £35 for 2 weeks was the only downside. Take a torch as the only lights at night are around the bar and toilets so it gets very dark. The site is very close to The Little Chapel and the German underground hospital.
Wherever you are on Guernsey you are not further than 10 minutes from the beach. Some of the things to visit Guernsey are that there is very little crime as alot of people don`t even lock their cars ,friendly locals ,free parking ,petrol 58p per litre and while we were on Guernsey we only had rain 1 day out of 14. We loved the site so much we are going to book our 2 week holiday for next year as we all had a wonderful time and the site was excellent.
