July 2004 Not bad at all. The site is terraced and divided by bushes into small enlosures for about 8 tents each. Pitches are large and level.
Facilities are fine and cleaned regularly. The restaurant is OK but the food is pretty basic and not that cheap in my view.
The pool is very nice. My kids loved it and although it is open air it is sheltered by high hedges and as a result is very warm.
The site is pretty quiet. The 11 A.M. curfew was adhered to by everyone and here was very little noise early in the morning.
The staff and owners were all very pleasant, from the lady who cleaned the gents toilet block through the office staff to the owner and family. A particular mention is deserved by the owner's daughter who was most helpful when our little one injured himself.
Two negaites: our youngest son caught his head in some of the play area equipment when we weren't there. He was left hanging by his neck - fortunately a passing adult rescued him but be careful when letting your kids play in this area.
Secondly, towards the end of our stay the site was becoming increasingly busy. This was placing a strain on the facilities. New arrivals were being put in an overflow area which was not very pleasant. Had we been directed to put our tent here we would have gone elsewhere.
However, we had a splendid time here and recommend the site.

August 2004 This campsite comes highly recommended. When you arrive you are given a choice of available pitches and you then select the one you prefer. All pitches are large and flat, the sloping fields have been terraced. There is plenty of room to park your car at the side of your tent.
The facilities were always clean and although there were only bout 7 showers in the ladies I never had to queue. The showers are free and you can regulate your own water temperature (not a push button shower). There are also some cubicles with a sink in for a wash in private if you prefer. There is a small laundry room with free irons and hairdryers and other free plugs to use. there is also a washing machine and a dryer (for a cost).
The site shop seemed well equipped with basics and a newspaper can be ordered for the following day. The bar serves good meals at a reasonable price. All meals can be taken away if you provide your own crockery.
A car is really a necessity from this site although there are bus stops about a 20 minute walk away. Bike hire can be arranged from the site and bikes delivered and collected from the site by a bike hire company. The site is in a quiet position in a lovely area, lots of trees and shrubs, nice for walking in the evenings. There is an outdoor pool that we never managed to get in as it was always full of children!! I would definately go back to this site if visiting guernsey again - lovely.
