We had two nights on this site. It's very easy to find via the sat-nav and parking was easy for us as all the pitches are block paved hard standing. We have a single axle caravan so we just pushed it into place, although some of the corner pitches looked like they may be a squeeze. One toilet and one shower per gender, although on the Saturday morning the shower was freezing cold, it was hot on the Sunday. Spotlessly clean with nice hand soap. The pub is only a hundred yards away and did OK food. We had the speciality burgers. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away and on the 'park and ride' route so there's buses every 15 minutes of so. £2. 00 takes you into the centre of York where you can easily spend a day sightseeing. £25. 00 per night is expensive, but for where it's situated and the facilities, I'd go back. I's also surprisingly quiet there, although for it being an adults only site there were a couple of rug-rats

Stayed here quite a few times - a small site (only 13 pitches), but all hard standing. Facilities are small but excellent, and each pitch is fully serviced (inc. Chem loo point!). The pub, Lysander Arms, serves a great range of food and drinks, and also does quiz nights and provides live entertainment. £25/night, but good value. There is a park and ride about 20 minutes walk away (10 mins for young and fit folk!), but in opposite direction less than 10 minutes away is a large shopping mall, with cinema, restaurants, and a return bus into York city centre every 10 minutes. Wonderful site

Tidy compact site but dearer than all the other sites we went to during our holiday. Toilets were well appointed except there was no hot water at all in either the ladies or gents. Not worth the £25 we paid. We booked by telephone and were told we didn't need to leave details or pay in advance. When we got there the person on site had no knowledge of our telephone booking. Given this is a small site this could be difficult during the busy times. Location is convenient though.

Went here last minute, glad I did. Nice pub, ok food, easy walk to park and ride to york, 6 quid return for two, tesco and a couple of pubs within walking distance. Toilets and showers are clean, it is a small site and could be a bit tight for larger caravans and motorhomes

Would I go again. Yes 4. 8 stars

Beautifull place to stay. Sanitair was very fine. Good value for money also York is very good. Good to walk, good for eating, beautiful Railway museum. The is the only problem, to find a good place to park oure Campervan. Reservation is a must, we were Lucky had no reservation made and still we're welcome.

Excellent Bus Service into York very nearby.

Very handy location for Retail Park which has large Tesco and many other National Retailers.

Some staff were helpful others were not.

Very quiet except for Saturday night when live music from Lysander Arms(15 yards from our Motorhome)went on until 12. 45 Sunday Morning.

Just had 4 nights here, and what a lovely place it is. Clean, tidy and the people are welcoming and friendly. Shower hot and toilet very clean. The pub, lynsander arms is very well kept and not far to stagger back to caravan. Not far from york and a great base to visit other places. 24 hour tesco and other shops within walking distance.

Stayed three nights last time we were here was about fourteen years ago the site had well over hundred pitches the site now has only twelve but saying that we were still satisfied would probably find it difficult to pitch with a twin axle van if the site was full. Only one toilet and one shower which was very clean and the Power shower was red hot entertainment in the on site pub was not bad but the Sunday Carvery was excellent all fresh produce with mouth watering beef all in all a great little site especially without kids will most definitely be back probably at a quiet time again. Park & ride at the top of the road few minutes walk away brilliant.

Just spent a lovely two nights at this excellent site. As you approach via a suburb of York you would not believe that such a nice (and fairly private) site could be at the end of the road! This is a small City site and is part of The Lysander Arms, a brilliant pub next door offering delicious food and a great assortment of drinks.

The pitch had its own electric and water supply and even your own dustbin and waste disposal. Never experienced that before. The shower blocks are small with only one shower in each but we did not find this a problem. It is a short walk to the Park and Ride or a three mile walk into the City with all York has to offer!

Also five minutes walk away is a large shopping complex with Tesco, McDonalds, Kentucky Fry etc.

 First trip of 2014!

Small site in a residential area, small but adequate facilities for one or two nights.

Close to the Park and Ride to get into York easily and backs on to the cinema and retail park. Pub on site that serves great food, had Saturday meal and Sunday Lunch delicious.

As it has such a good location I'm sure we will be back - recommended.
