We stayed for two nights, with our dog, on a fully serviced pitch.
The weather was awful but we will be back because the site is good and very convenient for visiting York.
We really enjoyed our meals at the Lysander Arms. The Wednesday steak night is very good value for money.

Had a nice stay at Rawcliffe caravan site, as is stated although only small had everything you needed on your pitch even your chemical waste disposal, only one female and one male shower plus a disabled facility including free washing machine and dryer,
We went to York on two occasions by walking the short distance to outside the large Tesco store no 6 runs ever 10 minutes and we used our bus pass, there is a park and ride service but we found it easier and cheaper to use the bus service.
Lovely pub on site which did get a bit noisy on the Saturday due to a children's birthday party and the FA cup final but overall a nice quiet site.
If I had any suggestions one would be a chair in the ladies facilities so there was somewhere to sit to enable you to dry your feet after showering as the cubicle is small and makes it difficult,
Not a cheap site at £30 a night but all in all enjoyed our stay and would consider returning if we visit York again.

Excellent facilities. Each bay on paved hardstanding with full services, some with adjoining lawned area.
Wi-Fi provided, but on our occasion not fast enough to stream I-player, but good for email.
Ladies toilet spotlessly clean, well-lit and warm with one cubicle (excellent flush) one shower cubicle and 2 basins with soap and hand cream and hand dryer.
On the site of the Lysander Arms pub, food served some nights and Sunday lunch - check the times.
Easy to find and park and ride for York city only a 15 minute walk away along on a quiet residential road.
Courteous welcome and local tourist info available in pub foyer.
Loved it - We will return.

Great fully serviced pitches.
Facilities were kept clean.
Paul was friendly and accommodating.
Park & ride took us a little longer to walk as well as the weather.
First time to York, and would stay at this site again.

Very good campsite, all, I believe with serviced pitches, although some of the chemical disposal points were open, causing an obvious odour if very close! These should have had covers, but probably from mis-use by other visitors, were missing. Owner notified.
Toilet block:- 1 shower & 1 toilet + 2 urinals. Exceptionally clean & plenty of soap in dispensers. Could do with a shelf in the shower, and definitely 3 hooks at least!
Would it also be possible to change the shower curtain to one which was weighted at the bottom, due to the excellent shower, this may stop the curtain rising & clinging to the body. People will know what I mean!
These are just niggling comments though, and we will return to this very quiet campsite, even though it's only 100 yds from the Lysander Arms.

Nice site, clean well kept easy access to park and ride to catch bus into York. Nice pub on site with excellent food and service.
Highly recommend
The only negative is lack of information on the local area. Could do with a leaflet showing nearby bus stops and supermarkets.

One of the cleanest caravan sites ever visited small but just perfect.
Very quiet even though it is next to pub.
Very handy for York and local shops.
Pub on site is really good
