Just returned from a 2 night stay with OH and 2 children. What a Beautiful and peaceful site Nether Craig is. Well maintained to a high standard by the wardens who were helpful. Toilet block had 2 showers, 2 sinks and 2 toilets, however this was not a problem for us, as we never had to queue (the site wasnt too busy, mid week stay) on the day we were leaving a door was opened to reveal a further 2 toilets and 2 sinks, warm, clean and always hot water. Fantastic walks at the back of the site that have cut pathways done by the farmer, so no chance of getting lost. A small play area for children and a large sand pit on site and just at the back of the site, a grass play field for ball games. The on site shop is open 9am - 10am and then agian 4pm - 5pm, rolls, bread, papers etc can be order for collection the next day. The only thing that annoyed me was that you had to pay 50p for hot water at dish washing facilities, the site was not one of the cheapest I have visited! However it was fantastic and will be returning soon! A great place to get away for peace and quiet.

Lovely site, very quiet and well maintained. Set in beautiful countryside, quite isolated, to get to it is a drive up a very back road, which has good and bad points. There is a small shop on site, Alyth is 5 miles away and has quite a few shops, takeaways and pubs. Good size pitch, we had our tent on a caravan pitch to use the electrical hookup. Facilities very clean, we were a bit put out by having to pay for washing up, but the showers were free.

We took the kids away for a weekend stay and the park was fantastic. It was clean and very well maintained. And because of its location the kids were safe to run around. Toilet/shower block both warm & clean and owners very friendly & helpful. Pitches were level and quite large. Blairgowrie a short drive away. Park very peaceful and a great place to go to unwind and to get away from the pressures of everyday life. I will most definitely be returning in the very near future.

We are just back from a two night stay at Nether Craig, It was our first camping trip as a family and we really enjoyed our stay there. The Site was very well kept not only by the staff but by other people staying there. We had hot showers which were free and clean, as were the toilets. The Site itself is rural and has a small shop open at certain times of the day. There are no other shops or pubs near by although there is a small Cafe at a local farm called Peel Farm. The staff there were very friendly and it's only about 2 miles from the site. The site also has a small play area for the children and our two spent a lot of time there. Within 5 mins of us arriving they were off playing with other children - they had a ball and we felt the site was very safe for them. We also went on a walk through the woods at the back of the site. Again this was very well maintained and at only 1 mile long was a nice walk after dinner. We would recommend this site and we will be going back again.

I have to echo the views of the people below. This was a quiet lovely site, immaculately clean and friendly. The tent pitches were large in a flat field. Picnic tables were dotted round the site. The toilets and showers were immaculate and free. Small shop where you could order bread and newspapers for the next day. There was a small woodland walk beyond the site, where I saw a dear and numerous rabbits. Recycling facilities also provided off site. Thoroughly recommended

Beautiful quiet well laid out site. You do need transport as it is secluded, but it's well worth it. The owners are very friendly, small shop with essentials and lots of information/books/maps on what to do & see in the local area, which you are able to borrow. There are also loads of reading books you can borrow for a small donation to charity. The toilet/showering facilities are the cleanest I've ever seen, in fact the whole site is kept beautifully. There is a woodland walk and dogs are allowed off leads here. Swing, chute, sandpit for kids. Laundry facilities and iron available for a small charge. Alyth is 5 mins away in car and has chinese takeaway, chip shop, co-op and a few pubs. Fantastic location for the Angus Glens, Kirriemuir, Glamis Castle etc. We will definitely return soon.

What a great site. It is set in a beautiful part of the country, not even any midges to bother you, in a quiet location with welcoming and very friendly owners. It has a small shop for the essentials but includes a small library of books and maps to borrow and even bike hire. They would take orders for fresh bread and the newspapers if so are so inclined. We have a large tent but that was no trouble as each pitch was more than adequate in size. The site is kept very clean and the only thing to bother you is the abundant bird song. Plenty of safe space for the children to play and even provides a small football pitch away from the tents and vans. Even as we approached I thought I might like the site as they have signs declaring "Caution - free range children"

There's not much more I can say that hasn't been said already. This is an excellent camp site. Lovely and peaceful and the facilities were very clean and tidy. I have stayed here twice with a group of people and we were given an out of the way spot right at the back of the site so as not to disturb the other campers (although we're a good bunch and didn't make too much noise anyway). The owner was very friendly and we would definitely stay here again. We didn't really explore much of the local area, as we were only staying there to attend the Scottish Mini weekend in Perth the next day. It's very out of the way, but easy enough to find if you are good with directions.

August 2005 An absolute haven of tranquility. We booked our tent in in advance, expecting to be squashed into a corner, but were given a numbered plot with plenty of space. The small toilet block was very clean and quiet, and we felt like we had it almost to ourselves, even although the park seemed pretty busy. The park is in the middle of nowhere, so there is no passing traffic noise. We used this as a base for walking in Glenshee (45 mins away), and although it's not the closest site we would definitely use it again just for the peace and quiet and above all the space.

May 2004 Found this site very friendly and quiet, well tucked away in the countryside. Plenty of walks to be had or several cycle routes, local loch very close by for fly fishing. The site was kept very clean indeed, it was well laid out, a few things for the kids to play on and walks for the hounds to relieve themselves, even doggy bins dotted about here and there along the walks. The owners seemed very helpful and very friendly. It has a small shop for this and that, no club house and games rooms, thank god, as it would ruin the site. Showers were hot with free hot water and toilets were kept very clean. Only gripe was had to pay 50p for the hot water each time you washed up. It ran on a timer and was too hot so kids DONT OFFER to wash up it will scold them.
