july 2001 and july2002 This has to be the most friendliest campsite I have stayed at and I have been to many over the past few years. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the site itself is very quiet and clean. It is very child and pet friendly as it is miles away from any main roads and it has a seperate walkway for you to take your dog a walk and they even give permission for you to let your dog off of the lead as long as you are a responsible owner and clean up after and make sure your dog does not disturb anyone else who may be taking a leisurely walk.(most campsites try to stop you from taking pets and the ones which allow you to do so have no facilities for them to be walked and still demand for you to keep them on a lead at all times and they often charge for them to stay onsite as well.) Here you can relax as your children can play on the climbing frame and swings and come to no harm. The price for staying at this site is exceptional and the tiolet blocks are spotless. There is also a small shop where you can order papers and rolls for the morning and buy anything you may need during your stay and if you fancy wandering out of the site in the shop there are plenty of leaflets advising of what you can do in and around. The only down side is that anyone without transport cannot visit this site as it is in the middle of nowhere but for me this is what I like and if it is a relaxing holiday you are looking for then look no further whether you are in a caravan or a tent I promise you, you will go home feeling like a new person.
