Great site most of the time. There was a couple of people on site which was good, peace and quiet lovely. Camp site had everything you needed - toilets lovely and warm, nice showers. We had a fully serviced pitch which was great. Owners nice and helpful. Great dog field which our dogs loved. Half hours walk to village shop which sold almost everything.

Touring Caravan - Travelled as a couple with a dog.
I was suppose to be touring around North Wales for our annual holiday but stumbled across Plas Gwyn and ended up spending my full vacation here. What a find!
It is a family run site and all the family could not be nicer and more welcoming, they provided a varied amount of information about the surrounding area from newbies trekking up Snowdon to a nice stroll to the local dog friendly pub. Although I was in a touring caravan they also provide Bed & Breakfast in the main house, hire out Static Caravans/Timber Tents and have the most amazing sunset views from the camping field.
The touring pitches are the biggest I have stayed on and it does make a huge difference not feeling so crammed in especially over busy periods. I stayed on one of the grass pitches but they also have hard standing fully serviced pitches if required. The dog walking/exercise field is huge and big enough for all dogs and possibly horses to have a good run around.
The facilities are excellent, I believe the toilet/shower block is quite new and it is kept in immaculate condition which is a must for me, I can not stand grubby dirty toilets/showers. The shower rooms are very spacious with nice hot powerful showers, there are also two unisex showers rooms which a gentleman with his small daughter said was ideal as he disliked taking her into the men's facilities to wash. Plas Gwyn also have a laundry room and spotless pot washing room but if you don't want to wash up your breakfast pots then you can pre-order breakfast to be delivered.

Absolutely lovely campsite and can't find a single fault! Stayed for three nights but would have stayed for longer if the weather wasn't about to turn to rain.
Well maintained site with great spacious pitches, clean and warm toilets and showers were always hot and no ques. The little shop had a good supply of basics, drinks, sweets and gas etc and a great tourist information room with lots of information on days out and places to eat.
Would recommend and return.

Stayed here for two nights in July and wish I could have stayed longer. I was in one small camper and my mother in another. We had adjoining level hard standing pitches. The touring field is lovely. Protected from winds by trees around the outside there is a large grassy area in the middle making it feel open and spacious. Most pitches had taps as well as hook ups.
The owners were so friendly and helpful. They keep some basic provisions in the reception such as milk, butter etc. Next to reception is an information room full of info about the area although the owners can help with anything you need to know. There is also a large laundry room complete with ironing facilities.
The loo block has been recently fitted out and is superb. It is heated, and this was needed in our cold July! Plentiful hot water at any time of day and absolutely spotless showers and loos. There is also a washing up room with a freezer for guests to use.
Waste disposal facilities were easy to access.
The site is up a long drive and so fairly quiet from traffic noise. It's location is excellent for Snowden, Carnarfon etc although when we had sun it was just nice to sit and enjoy.
An added bonus is free wifi which was faster than our home Internet.
Very well priced and definitely thoroughly recommended. Can't wait to return later this year or next.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was excellent. Family run site which is very pretty, shower block was always clean and warm. I would recommend this site to anyone. It is in an excellent position for visiting the Lleyn Pennisula and Llanberis is well worth a visit. All in all we had a great time and can't wait to get back there.

We travelled to North Wales as a family. My wife, myself, two grown up daughters their partners and Spook the spaniel.
This is a great base to explore Snowdonia. There is a very good pub in the village that does great food. We ate there twice the menu is varied and the prices reasonable.
The family run site is very well maintained, there are only two showers for ladies, two for gents but we never had to wait long and the toilet/shower block was always spotless with plenty of hot water. Our grass pitch was in good condition and level with its own water, drainage and electric hook up. The charges for our trailer tent and 6 adults were very reasonable not like sites that charge extra for everything. We even stayed an extra night as we were having such a good time.
They have a information point and laundry which again is very well looked after as is the whole site. The owners were always on hand and very helpful and do a bacon bap delivery service for breakfast which is spot on.
They also have an area of static caravans for hire and three wooden glamping tents as well as a tent field. All of the areas were kept in equally good condition.
All in all this is a first class camp site run in a friendly manor.
Top marks.

This site is in a brilliant location and the owners are friendly and helpful, but I can't agree with previous comments about the showers.
During our weeks stay over Easter there were problems with the water running out, and to be honest I don't think the showers were cleaned at all during our stay. There is also no extraction in the showers so your clothes are quite damp by the end of it.
The block is very tired and could do with an update or failing that a deep clean.
We usually always stay on hard standing pitches, but because of the holidays we had to settle for a grass pitch. Thankfully we got away with the rain on this occasion, but it's a shame the owners don't consider laying some more hard standing pitches as I'm sure they'd do well.
Breakfast sandwiches and duck eggs for sale are a nice touch.

We had a lovely stay here over Easter. The camping field was ours, no other tents, but caravan park was full, there were 3 tents in our party. We opted for electric hook up (our first time) and I have to say the allowance was great 13amps!
Field was sloping a little bit but didn't cause many issues.
The toilet block well looked after and clean 2 ladies showers, with lots of privacy and very warm, and 4 toilets I think - plenty - never any queues. I never used the showers but were told they were very powerful.
Two sinks for washing dishes in a warm room, again, never any queues. There is a laundry room with a freezer to use and you are allowed to use the site's freezer blocks, my own problem was it shut at 8. 30pm and I wanted to go freeze some blocks when I remembered at 9pm, but not a major issue.
Little shop stocking essentials. Three main supermarkets in Caernarfon, pubs nearby and not far to Newborough beach.
Nice added bonus of the farmers field yo can go in to walk the dogs and see/feed the horses.
