September 2005 Just spent two nights at this wonderful site. This is a small site consisting of tourers and statics to hire or buy. The statics have their own toilet and shower facility so the 7 sinks, five toilets and two showers were more than adequate in the Ladies. Partners assures me of similar in the Gents. Toilet/shower block was in an older type building but not old falling down building, on the contrary old and substantial with plenty of room in toilets and showers and proper doors. Newly painted, Spotlessly clean and cosy warm. Only one washing up sink but only ever saw us using - suspect many other campers used their own washing up facilities. No laundry facility but it beats me why anyone would want to do their laundry on holiday. beautiful views and 5 minutes walk to the pretty village of Hawes. So peacful, slept in on day of departure till 9.00 am - usually up about 7.30! Will we go back - oh yes and for longer next time.

June 2005 What a lovely place!
The setting is beautiful, with views onto Wensleydale. Ideally positioned just a short walk out of Hawes, alongside the B road to Ingleton. The site is quiet as little traffic uses the road at night. Hawes itself is in a beautiful part of Britain, close to almost endless walking and touring areas.
Touring caravans get marked pitches, each with electric (15 Amp), water tap and drain. There are flags on each pitch to put the caravan wheels on, so the van ends up level - what a nice touch. Separate, flat field for tents. Entrance to the site is a little steep, but our outfit went in and out without a problem.
Facilities adequate, and spotless - thoroughly cleaned with plenty of hot water. Two showers for each gender, and more than enough toilets. Only had to wait a little on one morning, over spring bank holiday weekend.
Prices are per caravan, awning, person, etc. Our rate for two people, car, caravan with awning was £13 per night.
Friendly owners, who really look after the place.

August 2004 What a lovely campsite. We have got a campervan, the hard standings were tiered, and each had their own tap. The site was spotless, the toilets were immaculate and lovely and warm! The couple who owned the site were really friendly, you can walk over to hardraw falls and walk into town for a few beers in the evening. It was well worth the £13 a night.

August 2003 Site is mostly for caravans, a small area near the entrance has 7 close together plots for small tents - probably up to 4 man. Toilet and shower block adequate, no shop, just a reception with tourist information. Washing up can be done in toilet block - facilities provided. Area around campsite is lovely, only 5 or 10 minutes walk to local town of Hawes which is very popular with motorbikes - there were hundreds on Bank Holiday Sunday! We went on the Ingleton waterfalls walk - half an hours walk away - which was nice and quite strenuous. We also visited White scar caves in the same area and that was great - 2 highly recommended visits if you're staying in that area.
