May 2003 This campsite is based near to Craven Arms in Shropshire. It comprises two farm fields with a shower and toilet block (1 toilet and shower)along with a chemical toilet disposal point and freshwater supply. We enjoyed ourselves here for two nights - there are several good walks and you are very near to Stokesay Castle. The site allows the kids to ride their bikes but there is a sign which says no ball games or frisbees although no one seemed to mind too much! You can hear owls hooting at night and it is totally dark at night which is very atmospheric. The farm also supplies ice creams of many flavours and lovely scones and apple pies!! A must... prices from £6.50 to £8.50 with a hook up.

The lady who took our booking was friendly. When we arrived we were told to report some-one on one of the pitches and he would tell us where to pitch our tent. The field was full of caravans, and there were only really two places we could have gone. Luckily we were put down the end, and not squeezed between two caravans as one other poor camper was. The hard standing put down for the caravans means that there isn't a lot of room to put your guy ropes down if you have a large tent. Apparently sometimes there is a separate area for tents, but when we were there that was being used for sheep. So if you have a big tent, check when you're booking if you will be in the caravan field or the tent field. £1 for the showers is steep, especially since they were a bit grotty, and the water seemed to run hot and cold. Do take your own loo roll. With only one toilet it seemed to run out about twice a day. The washing up area was OK, but the water wasn't that hot, and ran out when we were washing up our breakfast things. The field was flat and neat, and would have been nice for the children to play, but there were a lot of cars coming and going from the caravans, so you have to keep an eye out for young children. The area is nice, and you have good access to Ludlow, and some nice walks from the farm. Watch out for the cows if they have got their calves with them. We got chased in one field!

Second visit to this site on the august bank holiday for three nights. Was made very welcome by Alf who did as much as he could to help me. The owners who are very busy running the farm are also very friendly and offer a lot of help. Met a lot of friendly people there too and will be returning next year. Shower and toilet always clean and tidy A small and peaceful site, nice to just sit and chill.

A warm welcome, camping field is flat and huge. The kids had a fantastic time running round & playing ball games because of all the space. The facilities are basic but clean and usable. If you want luxury this is not the site for you but if you want a good place to camp with plenty of places to visit nearby then it will be a hit! We all agreed we would use it again!

Brilliant site! Very remote, but had an excellent time! I was surprised the kids didn't get bored with the site being so remote, but they had a brilliant time, in fact the kids didn't want to leave the site! Mind you I didn't want to leave either! Only downside was the lack of loo's, but saying that I never had to queue up to go to the toilet or use the shower and the campsite was very busy during our weekend stay! The shower cost £1 to use which was a bit steep for only 8 minutes of hot water! I would definitely recommend going into Ludlow town and visit Ludlow castle. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone I know! The people were very friendly too! Top site! 10 out of 10!

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Clean, quiet site. Only issues being the lack of loos, loo rolls and sink in the ladies - only one of each. There was no hot water to wash dishes with either - you had to get it out of the toilets. The girls - teenagers didn't have much to do as we didn't realise how remote it was. They enjoyed the ice creams from the farm and I would definitely recommend the homemade fruit pies. There was no play area although there was plenty of space for games etc. Overall a very friendly site but could do with an extra loo and sink

September 2005 UKCamsite.co.uk Members Meet - just got back after a great time this weekend, owners very helpful, kids loved the ice creams from the farm and the fires after our BBQ, great countryside and peace and quiet too. Good main rally field but main grumble is lack of water and bins on rally field as we had to get it from the main site, also only one loo and shower was a bit of a let down especially if, like us, you were in a tent and not a van with all your own facilities, also meant there was no-where handy for washing up etc. again ok if you have a van. Harry Tuffins supermarket (with massive pound shop) nearby sells everything you need in Craven Arms,Tesco & Somerfield in Ludlow. Altogether great value and worth it for the countryside of the Corve Dale itself.

June 2005 Visited this little campsite last weekend... what a joy!
The facilities, although basic, were spotlessly kept. The grass was well trimmed, and almost worthy of a game of golf!
The pitches were not overly generous, but plenty big enough for everyone's needs! There was lots of space for kids to run around and play.
£1 for a shower is the most we have ever paid anywhere, but when you consider that it's only £8 per night with electric hookup, you have to admit that it's perfectly reasonable to charge for showers!!
All in all, we will be back!

May 2005 Lovely peaceful site. Facilities basic but adequate. £1 for a long hot shower. Toilet roll was provided, but ran out late evenings (so have some spare handy!). No hot water for dishes though. Some good pubs serving food a short drive away. I'd certainly go again to unwind.

March 2005 Booked to stay on this site for 1 night and happy that they still had a vacancy with an electric hookup during easter weekend. When we got there we were welcomed by the owners who were extremely accomodating.
The kids had loads of room to play all sorts of ball games and no-one seemed to mind them riding around on their bikes either- but as it rained constantly they certainly needed their wellies as the field got quite muddy.
Whilst there we encountered problems with our canvas and again the owners were extremely helpful and ensured we stayed dry for the night. I cannot fault their hospitality at all.
Facilities are basic but soap and toilet roll were provided and there was constant hot water which was more than sufficient for what we needed. overall, the kids loved it there - they had plenty of space to tire themselves out, the farmer even allowed them to help feed the lambs - and the icecream was lovely.
I would certainly go back again
