August 2004 Booked August bank holiday . Suprised to find room as left booking until very late. Arrived and pitched before finding farm and settling bill. Very cheap and didnt want paying until we were leaving.( a very refreshing change) Site is very basic and proper camping. Only one toilet and one shower. Shower was meant to cost a pound but never paid and still had plenty of hot water! Toilet clean but need to take own toilet paper and soap as none provided. Very quiet and able to build own bonfire. Also the farm provided some wood for this, but did get sick of our kids asking, so do take your own. Highlight of holiday was another group of campers fire breathing, kids thought that this was great. Overhead power cables in field were a little worrying but kids had plenty of room to play. Vey long wet grass so dont forget your wellies! Definately visit again.

August 2004 Very friendly, if small site, miles from anywhere, very quiet. No main road, no pub, no supermarket, no lager louts. Facilities are basic, but clean and it is the least expensive site we have stayed at since 1996, and it is miles from anywhere. Chillout sans pareil. After dark the noisiest thing you will hear is the mice farting in the hedge.
The most vexing thing for us was the hedgehog that kept trying to raid our binbag each night. We never heard him but there were chicken bones everywhere in the morning. I bet he's the fattest oggypeg in the county of Salop. Top site. I hope nobody reads this, because everyone else will go, and that would just spoil it for us. Please don't.

May 2004 I visited with a small group of friends who travelled from diverse areas of the country. The lady who I spoke to over the 'phone was extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating (many campsites immediately find they are 'full' as soon as you mention a group). The toilet block had one shower and one toilet in the ladies and also in the gents. The washing up sink is in the ladies, but is used by everyone. There are also helpful local information leaflets. I loved the site as it is big for the number of people who were there (even though it was a Bank holiday) leaving plenty of room for cricket and frisbee at the same time as a group of children were launching their rocket! Phil also had the opportunity to practice his boomerang throwing, though there was a slight concern over the overhead power cables. We were also allowed to light a bonfire, which is extremely rare on a campsite, but really made our weekend. I don't think we disturbed anyone because of the distance from other tents, apart from anything else, though there were other campers keen to join our party after Phil demonstrated his fire breathing technique in the middle of the field. I suppose the only downfall of the site is that there are no shops within walking distance, so we drove when we went anywhere. However, it is probably one of the nicest sites I have ever stayed with (slightly biased report because the company was so good). I would thoroughly recommend it to everyone, from caravaners looking for a peaceful weekend, to families wanting plenty of space for bikes, ball games etc.

june 2003 Excellent site. Lovely area, very quiet. We thought the £1 charge for showers could have been incorporated into the pitch price.
