Good value for money site with clean well maintained toilets and a small shop. Great pub on site with entertainment at weekends.
Short walk into Ripon where there is plenty shops and pubs. Our only gripe is non electric tents are on a bank which was not very comfortable so suggest ehu for tents which are on flat pitches or suffer roll together in your tent.

Had a great weekend at this site. Brilliant play areas nice bar and best of all met other people who my daughter knew so that kept her occupied. Very well maintained site. Shop very basic (didn't even have magazine) but not far into Ripon to find supermarkets if you were to need them. Would definitely return.

Just got back from a great weekend at this lovely site originally called Ure Bank. We have been several times and have seen the site improve over the years. The shower block is always spotless, cleaned 2 x daily. The club offers family entertainment and has a nice beer garden, there are 2 children's play areas, one located just outside the club, however they have now fenced it of from the beer garden. There are plenty of fields for walking dogs. Lot's do see and do in the area, will definitely go back.

One of the best sites we've used. Very clean and well run. Good play area for the kids, right outside the clubhouse conservatory. Clean toilet block with plenty of hot water. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only a short walk into Ripon centre. Ideal relaxing break. Enjoy.

Myself and my OH have just returned from this site and found it to be a great place to visit. It is situated near the River Ure on the outskirts of Ripon about a eight minute drive or a twenty odd minute walk from the centre of town. We paid £14 per night for our 8 berth tent with EHU. (which I thought was quite reasonable) and we were situated near the toilet blocks which are cleaned twice a day and are in good order (although there could be more hooks in the shower cubicles.) overlooking the hills in the background. The site itself has a pretty good set-up with a well kept clubhouse that has a projector tv screen and served a great pint of Theakstons and they are currently upgrading the beer garden. There is a small shop on site selling the basics, but if staying for longer than a night or two, there is a Morrisons (with a petrol station) about two mile away along the Harrogate road and a good Sainsbury's and a M&S Simply Food in the centre of town (the parking was fairly cheap too !) Locally, there is plenty of attractions such as Lightwater Valley, Harrogate and Ripon itself. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone and I will certainly be visiting it again.

Stayed here for the weekend, nice pub, entertainment ok with Bingo etc. Shower blocks are clean, nice friendly site in nice area near river and not too far from Ripon centre. Downpoints : Price. Tourer + Awning for 2 adults and 4 kids = £48 for 2 nights ! Very uneven, some pitches were worse than ours and the legs were right down on one side of the van.

Spent this weekend at Riverside Meadows. Kids were happy, friendly people and nice, relaxing quiet place. Rivers clean and theres fishing there as well. Club was quiet on the Friday with just bingo, Saturday was a singer which was pretty good and bingo in between turns. Showers were clean and hot, the ground is very uneven so the awning wasn't quite up right. The only gripe was the cost. I had 4 kids and 2 adults with a van and awning low season.£48 for 2 nights ! I was made to pay £9 extra for 2 kids and the awning per night. I will be back but will leave the extra kids at home next time. Oh, the main thing, the beers OK and not too badly priced.;-)

Just returned from our first time at this site. Booked last minute on Bank holiday saturday, we arrived around lunchtime, site very busy but to be expected on bank holiday we were just pleased to find somewhere able to take us. We were shown to our pitch which was helpful as they weren't numbered (we would have prefered), tent field is located next to the entrance to the site on a sloping field, seemed to be a bit of an after thought, only a couple of minutes from the toilet block so that was good, but childrens play areas are at other side of park nearer the caravans, not so good, full of older children so we had to keep a close eye on our two (7 & 2). The whole corner of the tent area next to us was taken by a large group with 6 tents, they were fine not too noisy but when they all came back to site we felt like we had camped in a car park, we were hemmed in by all their cars and had to squeeze our car in at the other side of our tent, not really their fault but the way the site had crammed them all in, maybe not so bad at other less busy times. However we did enjoy ourselves, the river is a few minutes walk from the site and is good for children to paddle in and skim stones, toilets and showers are clean always have loo roll, but beware they are closed for cleaning 7-8am each morning! a bit of a bad time I would have thought as just the time our kids were getting us up and wanted to go, there was a disabled toilet that was open for use during cleaning times but I wouldn't advise using it unless you really had to! a bit smelly. I can't give any comments on the club house as it's not really our thing, there seemed to be plenty of people using it though and we didn't really hear any noise from it on an evening. The shop was not up to much either we managed to get a pint of milk but there really wasn't much available, better off heading for the local morrisons quite close by.

Our second visit to Riverside Meadows and again superb weekend. First visited last August so knew what to expect. Due to the weather, not too busy on the tent fields which are next to the shower block. Two fields- one which slopes and a flat one. This time was on the flat field which was better as we have wheels to deal with. We had plenty of room but I can see where other complaints of the touring pitches being too small come from, as there were a lot of tourers on site. The shower block is excellent, very clean and tidy which is one of the reasons we came back (developed a phobia of showers last year!)showers hot, plenty of water. Showers cleaned twice daily at set times once in morning and late afternoon. Club was excellent bingo and family fun (quizes, play your cards right etc) on the Friday and singer on the sat, easter bonnet / egg comp for the kds on sunday and the all important football was on big screen in the club house. Only critisism would be the shop which is small, need to order your papers, basic requirements catered for but have to be quick for milk etc. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely river runs adjacent to the park so plently of room to walk the dog. 15-20 min walk into ripon. We really enjoyed our stay and will be going back several times this year.

August 2005 Well maintained site with friendly staff. As we were late to book, we were allocated a left over old static pitch which in some respects I would have prefered not to have but in others I would prefer as we had all the benefits of a fully serviced pitch - water and electricity at hand. The admin and office staff were slightly lacking - we parked up on the nicest looking pitch we were told we could choose from and it turned out to be someone else's who was staying there. We were not told or prevented from doing this.
