We were showed to our pitch which at first seemed ok, but, within a couple of hours another 4 caravans turned up and were pitched so close that we felt like sardines in a tin! Speaking to other caravanners they too had the same experience on arrival and were unhappy to be crammed in.
The toilets & free showers were clean and up to standard (thank goodness). We didn't put our awning up nor the windbreak, didn't take our dog, and it was still £15 per night with an extra £3 to stay until 6pm on the day we were leaving.

Nice looking site. Toilet/shower block was ok apart from the lights didn't go on until 7pm which meant showering in the dark because there was only a small window letting light through. Beware there is no socket for the hairdryer, we had electric hookup which was 10 amp, therefore, I could only run the fridge and 2kw heater, had to turn these off to use the hairdryer.

Clubhouse was nice with attached conservatory and childrens park next to it. There was no entertainment on at all while we were there which was disappointing, especially when paying £17.50 per night to pitch a tent with electric. Bingo is on at 9:30pm on Fri + Sat and normally karaoke. It would appear entertainment is only on during summer holidays and weekends. Caravan part of the site was busy, but not many people went to the club house.

We were the only people in a tent, therefore, we were allowed to pitch were we wanted. The ground was very uneven and sloped in parts. We had a look at the pitch mark up's and they would only fit a 6m tent maximum on them, ours was 8m + with windbreaker we took about 10 metres.

Other facilities on site were small shop, papers had all been sold before 9am and milk is UHT type, may as well go to Morrisons about 5 minutes drive away. M&S is next door, with loads of other shops on the hight street. There are 3 parks for the children and a games room, which is expensive at 50p a game of racing. Staff were very friendly. Other point was there was no specific time to clean the toilets, they were closed one morning from 7:30 am and were still not open at 8:15.

this is a nice looking site situated on the outskirts of the town,
we did enjoy our 3 day stay and the clubhouse had a childerns entertainer on while we were there.

There is a small shop on site but beware, if you want a newspaper, it has to be ordered a day in advance, and the supplies of bacon and bread etc soon ran out. so be first in the queue.

The pitches for tourers seemed to be a bit narrow, for when my awning was fitted to the van there was only a gap of about 4 feet to the next van, so no space for parking the tug.
It has been mentioned on a previous thread that the spaces for tents is limited as well, I cannot comment on this as there were no tents on site in October.

If you've camped at this site and want a laugh go to the web site "Spacious Pitches" I think not. If you're going with a tent don't bother when it's likely to be busy. I'm sure there must be some law against having tents pitched so close together with even short guy ropes cris-crossing with your neighbour.
There is a new-ish toilet block near the tent area but not much to it, there are more up at the club house which has a nice lounge/bar/games room, entertainment, at times, but no food of any sort is served unless you count crisps and nuts and the drinks are very, very expensive. Wont pay the prices they want for what you get when in a tent, probably not so bad if you're in a caravan pitched in a reasonable space.
