Nice site situated directly between Saundersfoot and Tenby opposite a Londis in a village called new hedges.
Reception is in a large static caravan on the left of the 1st barn. It was open when we got there but is closed most of the time. Some peole just pitched up and waited for them the next day.
Site is well kept with lots of space for kids to play. It also has a mini farm with lots of animals for the kids to feed. There is a swing and a seesaw for the kids.
You don't see the owners so you are very much left in peace with no hassle which is the best part about the site.
On the negative side the showers are rather antiquated. Only three showers in the gents, with no inner shower door or curtain and your socks and shoes get soaked. Roofs are made of asbestos and you can feel a small electric shock in the pipes. There is only one hook to hang your clothes, shower bag and towel on.
The electric on the site seems to go off about three or four times a night, and you cant boil a kettle without switching off the television.
Overall a pleasant site but if you like nice clean showers and toilets and don't want to miss the TV while boiling a cuppa then go elsewhere.

We were trying to book for a large group in Tenby. We couldnt get anywhere. 17 of us (9 adults and 8 kids) in 6 tents and were told "we don't accept groups". Booked into Lodge Farm in New Hedges which is between Tenby and Saundersfoot. About 5 minutes drive from site to either of these places. Basic site but cheap. £6 per adult and £2 for children under 9. Clubhouse on site not open but nice pub about 5 minutes walk. Supermarket across road from entrance. Kids will love it as site is on a farm with rabbits, goats, guinea pigs, chickens, cows, ducks and a resident turkey! Showers need updating but water was always warm.

This site has so much potential. It's flat great scenery and in easy reach of Saundersfoot or Tenby. The let down is the toilet and shower block and the children's so called park. I wont let my kids shower there. The price is quite high compared to others in the area with better facilities and cleaner. They really need to buck they're act for 2007. They have been promising to do the toilets for some time now and still they havn’t been done.

Visited this campsite in August 2004. Had a fabulous time. Found it incredibly difficult to get a campsite to take us - rang round all in my AA book and none would take mixed groups.
Just me, by brother and my best mate, all sharing one tent. Called Lodge farm and they were more than accommodating, arrived mid week and was lovely and quiet, pitched tent wherever we wanted and really settled in.
Facilities were more than adequate, had a quite a lot of fun in the bar, didnt know it was there until our 3rd night. Many families on the site who didn't seem to mind the presence of drunken 20 somethings!
The site is really relaxed. A real chilled out atmosphere. And if you're visiting the area, you must go to Barafundel bay. National Trust. The most beautiful beach I have ever been to, bit of a car journey but worth the wait!
I would recommend this site to anyone. Couples, groups, families. We are going back again this year for our annual holiday, cant wait!

We were able to book this site when no-one else could accommodate us (one site telling us "we don't take parties like THAT!") and we had a brilliant weekend. We were able to pitch our three tents together in a group, because Lodge Farm do not have designated pitches. This helps toward the laid back atmosphere of this site, and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
The showers and hot water for dishwashing was all free, and we never had to wait or queue. The local shop and PO was opposite the entrance to the site, and seemed to stock everything we had forgotten to pack. Tenby and Saundersfoot are both close by, with their beautiful beaches, are worth a visit. Other local attractions such as Oakwood, Folly Farm and Heatherton are also worth a trip.
The kids (and us adults) loved the animals on the farm and often went for a wander to see the rabbits. I was more than happy for the kids to wander off to explore on their own, the site was quiet and secluded. We will certainly go there again, and I can well recommend Lodge Farm to anyone.

July 2005
Basic site, that really lets itself down by providing inadequate facilities. Lovely location, with good views and close to local shop, post office, pub etc. Children will love the animals on site.
But, the toilet block, gGrimy, old, too small and generally in a poor upkeep. I would not let my children use the showers. We used a paddling pool by the tent for bathing. The childrens park area was very dissapointing with little to offer.

August 2005 Me and 2 Friends went down to Tenby last friday.
We had a bit of trouble finding a place to stay as most places only take couples or families. As we are 3 girls aged between 24-26 we were worried we would have to turn around and drive the 75 miles home again.
After we had been to about 6 campsites we came across The Lodge Farm.
Very fed up by this stage and expecting another let down, we asked there and very nice bloke (who I developed a bit of a crush on ) said yep fine find a free spot and pay later.
We paid £30 quid between 3 of us for 2 nights sharing one tent.
The field was pretty full when we got there but plenty of spaces left still.
The shower/toilet block was clean but it could do with a few more showers.
There was plenty of hot water but it takes a bit of patience to get the right temperature.
There was shelving above the sinks and plenty of mirrors and a worktop to the side where there is an electric socket so you can plug in hair dryers / straighteners.
Lodge Farm I think has quite a laidback atmosphere about it.
Kids will like the little rabbit and guinea pig area. When we went there were lots of baby rabbits there and guinea pigs.
I would definitely stay there again.

August 2005 Very pleasantly suprised, following reading other reviews in particular about the toilets. Lovely site. Toilets clean, showers basic but always hot & powerful, peak holiday times but no queues. Club on site not open, but 2 pubs within minutes of site. The Retreat didn't seem too close. Took 2 teenagers who made friends & wanted to spend each evening there. Felt we could leave them and do our own thing and they had a great time. Clean, quiet site, ideal for families. Stopped on Sea View field, which was a bit pricy - £22 per night for motorhome, 2 adults + 2 teenagers + electric, but although full was not at all overcrowded. Enjoyed it that much we are going back in a couple of weeks.
For motor home owners who do not like to use their vehicle daily there is a bus stop to Saundersfoot, Tenby & further afield. Saundersfoot can be walked in 20 - 30 mins. Coastal footpath to both Tenby & Saundersfoot.

August 2004 Stayed at this site last August. Only 7 pounds per night for a tent which was great. Don't do food on site, but great steak pub just down the road. Toilets and showers were a bit grubby. The bar was small but very friendly and we had an old fashioned sing song at the end of the evening which the kids loved. Only 5 mins from Tenby

August 2003 We left this trip until the very last minute and it was a busy bank holiday weekend. Everywhere in Tenby was full but Lodge Farm simply said they'd open up another field if they got full! So the upside was we got in, the downside is they probably don't control their numbers very well which can mean a wait at the showers, sinks etc. It also meant, in our case, a rather long walk to the toilet block.
The toilet block itself is very basic, the water temperature a bit unpredictable and generally not the nicest place to take a shower. It took a lot of courage for my wife to use the facillities and the kids just stuck with the sea off North Beach.
The views are pleasant and it's close to a path which leads to the coastal path. We did walk to Waterwynch bay and into Tenby but it was a very hot day and everyone was so exhausted I had to get a Taxi back and fetch the car.
Another feature of the open field layout is that the kids had plenty of room to play cricket and other games and the tents were spaciously laid out without any pre-determined pitches.
We never used the bar on site, it's not really our thing. It didn't look much from the outside anyway.
A good thing is the animals, rabbits, chickens and some birds, the children enjoyed going to see these each morning.
Another plus point is that it is the closest site to the Londis in New Hedges which is a great little shop when you are camping. It's also a pleasant walk to the local pub in New Hedges which does a nice steak sizzler for £4.95.
So overall the plus points of this site are that it is a very laid back easy going site run by friendly people but on the downside it can get overcrowded and the facillities are very basic.
