A lovely peaceful site. Short walk brings you to the cliff tops where we regularly saw seals basking in the sun on the rocks below. Pleasant walks along the coastal path.

We like it here as it is a good place to chill out. Owners nice and friendly too. Had been once before I think in 2008. We only revisit good sites so it speaks for itself.

Will be visiting again so we hope.

Love the area, especially nearby Nefyn & 'the pub on the beach'. Site is a little out of the way but worth the journey in.

If you want a peaceful, quiet site, then this is the place to go! Stayed ten nights in a tent with my two teenage children on the 'Sea View' field. Lovely views. All of the fields in use only allow pitches around the outer edge. So a lovely wide open space in the centre for the kids to run around in!

The nearest shops are around 10mins away in the car. Nothing on site. Free freezing of ice packs and fridges for rent if you need them.

Fabulous beaches close by. Mainly sandy with some rocky areas. The coastal path at the bottom of the site is beautiful. Spent many an evening on there watching the wild seals swimming in the sea at the bottom of the cliffs!

We had some very wet weather on a couple of days but the land is very well drained and didn't suffer with any muddiness.

The only slight negative I would point out is that the toilet/shower facilities are desperately in need of an upgrade. There are six toilets for the site. No urinals. Four of the toilets are in rooms with the showers. So if a particular shower is in use that toilet cannot be accessed. And vice versa.

But don't let this put you off. If you want to visit North Wales, this is a cracking place to stay!

What a fantastic site with amazing views and wonderful sunsets!

From the moment we arrived Sue and Pete did everything they could to accommadate our family group (1 lrg and 1 small tent, 5 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs, 2 cars and a trailer!). Our surroundings were wonderful with hills to the rear, rolling fields and the sea out in front.

We were in the annex field and the space between each tent meant you were never in someone else's pocket plus the other campers were so friendly.

The site it's self is eco friendly and actively encourages recycling which they make easy with well signed bins and waste disposal.

The toilets and wash facilities (don't forget your 20 pence's)are a little dated but always clean and there a several dish washing sites plus a washing machines, tumble dryer and fridges all for a small fee and you can freeze your ice blocks free of charge!

The children's play area is a little basic but that didn't stop my daughters and the large group of friends they made from having some fantastic adventures and it was always quite by 10:30pm at the latest.

The coast walks are great and the sights breath taking. Once you are through the two gates leading from the site turn right and follow the path for about 10-15 minutes and you will find a pebble cove and if your as lucky as us some sealions to top it off!

The best place to shop for you essentials is the Spar in Nefyn (10 mins by car) and The Lion pub offers some fantastic food if you want to eat out.

All in all this is a great site which would appeal to those campers who just want to get away from it all and relax!

Are we going back. You bet we are!

Really good quiet and clean campsite with strong Green credentials.

Visited with family (4 & 6) and found the family field excellent as it incorporated a simple play area where you could still keep an eye on things.

Followed tips of previous respondent and took a few pounds worth of 20p coins. Used under £3 in 4 days and found 4 mins plenty of time for a shower. All regularly cleaned and perfectly ok.

Cliff top walks and quiet secluded coves were a real bonus and the kids loved the rock pools. Plenty to do in the surrounding area with main town of Pwllheli only 20 mins drive.

Nice site with lovely coastal walks straight form your tent. Showers and loos (so so) tons of daddy long legs in June! Waiting for hot water to wash up was a bit of a pain and we put our money in the wrong slot at first!(a black box on the wall?) Quite noisy one night as there was a very large party staying with loads of kids who were shouting and running around till late, I think the owner had a word in the end. Lovely part of wales. Friendly owner. Fridges to rent but the large party previously mentioned had got the lot, but you could put freezer packs in a freezer.

Excellent facilities. The review before this has everything listed. There was a force 5 gale when we stayed!. The site owners were very helpful 0and sited us out of the wind. A great place to fish from even has its own on site tackle shop! The showers were warm but remember to take plenty of 20p in change. Indoor play area if the weather gets inclement and a large bonfire pit in the first field

Recommended!

We stayed at this lovely site (1 hour from where we live) for one night in mid June, to try out our new tent.

Quiet, peaceful and spacious site.

Very friendly and extremely helpful owners.

Three level fields for tents and caravans, each field with facilities for electric hook ups for those who need it.

We stayed in the 1 acre Sea View field (mainly tents).

Rates for a tent without hook up: £9 per night and £2 each for our two dogs

(£11 Bank/School Hols/ July/ August).

Rustic block near house with showers and toilets (2 on our side). 20p for 4 minute shower.

Handwash gel in toilets and green paper towels (which are composted after use - yeah).

Indoor facilities for washing up (20p for hot water), plus fridges for hire, washing machine / dryer for use at a small fee, and freezer block refreezing available.

Tourist information leaflets available too.

Love the fact that this site is an environmentally friendly one, having won a Green Dragon Environmental award.

Recycling facilities for paper, glass, plastics, cardboard, batteries, etc.

Private path to small cove beach.

Lovely for walks.

Nice to watch sun set over sea.

Great for bird watching too.

Dogs accepted, but must be kept on lead at all times. Must clear up after dogs. Dog poo bin near start of path to beach.

Lovely part of Wales, with little country villages, sandy beaches and rocky coves, and great walks in the country site.

Nearest village Tudweiliog has post office and award winning pub.

Lane to site small and narrow, so take care driving.

Recommend this site - we'll be going back soon

Visited this site at the end of April and had a very relaxing time. The owners Pete and Sue, are a lovely couple, very friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive.

Although the site is on the coast it is surprisingly sheltered with some stunning views and the beaches are only a short drive away and are fantastic.

There's a playground for the kids with swings a slide and a speedboat. Internet connection was difficult though this may not be a problem for some. Phone reception was great.

The toilet / shower and washing facilities are ok though take a lot of 20p pieces as the showers only last 4 mins. Would also advise taking plenty of food etc as there is only a small shop 5 miles away which sells the basics and the nearest supermarket and garage etc is in Pwllheli approx 17 miles away.

A word of warning if your coming to the site via Caernarfon (A499) follow the road to Pwllheli.Do not turn at the small roundabout signposted Nefyn (B4417). Its a nightmare of a road especially if you have a twin axle ! It's much easier via Pwllheli (A499). A turn at Y Ffor onto the B4354 then onto the B4412 will bypass Pwllheli altogether.

Overall a lovely well kept site. If your looking for a site with peace and quiet and a bit remote then this site is for you. Had a lovely time and would definitely visit again.

Returned home today from this site tired but happy.

It is a lovely and clean well kept site with many medium sized fields for touring caravans, tents etc. Near the main house there were spaces for caravans and tents requiring electric hook up.

There was a toilet and shower block near the field we stayed in which was near the main house, this was clean and also in the same place was washing up facilities and fridges freezer and washing machines you could use for a small fee, also (the not so regular) big attraction. 4 gorgeous kittens! It was lovely popping to the loo and visiting the kitties. They also have some guinea pigs and plenty of play areas for the smaller children, sand pit, swing sets, slide, tyres and rope swing and an old boat to play in.

There was a small spar shop about 20 mins drive away and other small villages for pubs takeaways etc but cannot comment as I stayed on the site the whole weekend. My children had some lovely walks to the coast and along the shore and reported lovely views and some friends visited a nearby beach, about 2 miles drive, and had a great day messing about on boats!

The owners of the site were really helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.

We were very lucky and had a lovely weekend with that rare thing called sunshine, unfortunately the day we went home the heavens opened and we got drowned taking down the tent!

Overall a lovely site for families with small children needing a relaxing break.

My only criticism (and its only personal to me as I live in a tiny hamlet and cant see any houses out of any of our windows) so seeing other tents and vans parked around a field felt a little like living on a housing estate but as I said before just a personal observation, it in no way spoiled my stay it would not stop me from going again.

We stayed at this site for a week and wished we could stay forever! The caravan was oldish but very clean and contained everything a family needs for a holiday including a surprisingly very comfortable bed, thick duvets and decent pillows - a rarity usually! We had our own garden with a picnic table and bench and received a daily visit from Penny, the resident very free range hen who actually allows you to stroke and feed her. The location was stunning with views of mountains and of the sea, and the site itself was quiet and peaceful meaning we could well and truly relax. There is a children's play area including a speedboat and play apparatus, and both the layout and location allow children the freedom to play out without constant supervision. We have an eight year old son and he loved being able to go off on his own to make new friends and to play for hours.

We did not use most of the facilities as we were in the static caravan but the toilets seemed basic but clean. There is an old washing machine and tumble drier but beware as you can only do a cold wash which didn't remove the grass stains from our sons clothes and the tumble drier stained a couple of my tops. I only saw one of the site owners, Sue, who was exceptionally helpful and always available to help with anything from operating the washing machine to which beaches were the best for seal spotting. She even makes a point of remembering the names of visiting children and her own children also do the same.

The surrounding area - what can I say. Absolutely beautiful! There are so many gorgeous beaches to visit but perhaps the most stunning are within a 10 minute drive. Penllech - possibly one of the best beaches in Wales

In my opinion is amazing at low tide with free parking, and Porth Oer (Whistling Sands) is also well worth a visit. Tudweilliog - the next village - has a great pub and the Ty Coch in near Morfa Nefyn is fantastic if you want to sip a cold pint on the beach, eat great food and watch the boats bobbing in the sea at the same time. Oh and ignore the weather forecasts if you stay there. We were supposed to have torrential rain for the last 3 days of our holiday yet we spent most of these days on the beach. The Llyn peninsula seems to avoid a lot of the bad weather often advertised. We are definitely hoping to go back next year - we had an amazing time and miss it already!
