Went to this campsite on my first ever camping trip with husband and daughter. Met our friends there. The facilities were great, nice clean hot showers, nice clean facilities to wash up. At the further end of the site there was a secure play area for children. This was surrounded by fields and from the tent you could see the children playing. It was literally like a long grassed drive, camping each side and play area at the end. There was a shop which was open until early evening.
Will hopefully go back in 2011

What a lovely site!
Stayed here over the weekend of the Yeovilton Air Day & enjoyed it so much we plan to come again just to relax and explore the area.
Site managers/owners were very helpful & pleasant. Facilities clean and well-thought out.
Hurray for all those hooks in the showers! (So many sites fail to provide enough hooks for clothes, towel & toilet bags- it was great to have plenty of hooks here!).
Dish washing area also well thought out.
Whole site well-kept with a nice little play area.
Loved seeing the cows next door!

Me and my partner stayed there in our tent and had a basic pitch. When we arrived there we was made very welcome. The site is very well looked after.
We wanted to find some were to eat and when we asked Mike and Nancy were we can get some food from they told us about a pub 2miles up the road called the brewers arms saying that the food was nice and how right they are and very friendly.
We are definitely going back there and very soon. The site was very clean and very peaceful. If you want a quiet break then this is the place to go

This was our first trip with our caravan and we couldn't have picked a better campsite. The owners were very friendly and helpful and always seemed to be available. The site is small, but that was what we were looking for.
The pitches are all level and even though the site was full, there seemed to be plenty of space for everyone. There is a lovely play area for the children, which is fenced off, making it very safe. The toilet block was always very clean and warm. The site was always very peaceful and tranquil, even with our three young children!
As this was our first trip with our caravan, we didn't venture very far from the campsite, so didn't see much of the surrounding area.
We would definitely go back there (in fact we returned the weekend after).

Small, quiet, clean, well organised / looked after, 2 ladies free heated showers. Onsite shop with caravan spares. Good walks (used map) through flowering orchards / villages. Well signed footpaths start from site others from free South Petherton CP.
Saw Muchelney Abbey, Street's outlet stores, Ilminster (Tesco), RSPB Ham Wall (saw Bitterns flying, Hobbies & Marsh Harrier). 3 Nat Trust properties nearby & possibly Chard for next time. Lovely peaceful site.

The site is small but with nice size pitches. The toilet and showers were clean and the fact the block was heated was really great.
This site is in the middle of nowhere so you have to drive, walk or cycle anywhere.
We chose to walk to a pub in somerton which is approximately 1.5 miles away. The walk was worthwhile as the food in the pub (can't remember name but only one pub in the town) was excellent but they do like you to book.
The staff on site were very helpful and friendly.
We stayed for two nights. I would stay again but probably for one night. I did find the location quite remote.

The site is close to where we wanted to be and was the quietest we have ever found. We arrived unannounced after 6pm on a wet Monday in late March. Friendly greeting and attitude. Everything spotlessly clean. The shop was very well stocked and we were offered sales when we arrived despite it being after closing time. Apart from the dog area which is only big enough for an underweight Chiwawa (? spelling) everything else was absolutely spot on. We shall return.

We spent 3 nights at this site and were very impressed. It is in a fantastic location with cows in the field next to where we camped. The facilities are first class, extremely clean and well maintained. The owners were very pleasant and were always visible ensuring that the site was clean and tidy. Lots of facilities for recycling.
We tried out the local cider and cider brandy at the nearby farm and also had a drink in the rusty axe (sorry can't remember the name of the village but not too far from the site) very friendly staff and lovely pub.
We would certainly recommend the site and will return if we are in that part of the world again.

Great little site and nice and quiet. Only 2+ miles from the main A303 (you cant hear it) and ideal for a stop-off if required.
It is mainly for caravans, but they do like a few tents and seem to take the larger pods. I guess you would have to book to make sure.
The owners do know their stuff as the facilities are spotless, dry and ample for the site. They even have steps in the loos for the kids to stand on. I think they have shares in a hook firm as there are plenty in the showers .The challenge is to use them all! (other sites take note)
The shop has basic food provisions and more importantly a great selection of ale. Plus they have almost every spare part for your caravan. I would highly recommend this place for caravan virgins or if you need to have a tinker on the van as you can get all your bits here and play/fix it on site.
The site, whilst having a small dog area to let them loose is situated by a few footpaths, so plenty of places to go walking. (opposite the entrance, or turn right out of entrance and just over river).
This will remain on our shortlist for a quick weekend getway.

Small but perfectly formed - we loved this site which is very easy to find just off the A303.
The owners were friendly and thoughtful (as we had small children they allocated us pitches overlooking the play area). The facilities were spotless and all was quiet after about 10.30pm. There's not much to do on site other than enjoy being in the great outdoors but that suited us fine.
We would definitely return if down that way again.
