We enjoyed staying here for two overnight stays, travelling to and from London on the way to Cornwall. It is very near the motorway. The site is small and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. There is a children's' play area which is within sight of the pitches. It has a good little shop, which stocks some basic provisions, but also has lots of caravan accessories (I got a new jockey wheel there). We didn't see much of the surrounding area, but it is conveniently located for visiting Glastonbury, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, and Yeovil. I would definitely stay here again when passing through or visiting the area again.

We stayed in this lovely little friendly site New Years Eve. It was -3 degrees and two of the site water taps had frozen. The stand-in warden was very helpful. The toilets and washing up room were spotless and warm.
The site also services caravans, which I can also recommend. The owners are very helpful and obliging. We will return I'm sure.

We stayed on this site for 2 nights, Saturday & Sunday night of the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend.
£15 deposit is required at time of booking, balance to paid on arrival.
Children aged 5yrs or under are free.
On arriving we were given the choice of two pitches, very friendly and laid back people no lists of rules.
Nice flat pitches of a decent size, which are around the edge of the field.
We stayed on a basic pitch (Non EHU), all basic pitches are near the play area. I was slightly worried about this but it worked out very well, not too noisy and our boys ages 6yrs & 3yrs could go off and play and we could watch them from the tent, perfect.
The play area was fenced off and well situated at the bottom of the field, it had a few pieces of play equipment and a basket ball hoop, also a bench which I thought was a nice touch.
The showers & toilets were great, lovely and warm, 2 showers(free), 2 toilets, another toilet in a cubicle along with a wash basin and a separate wash basin in a cubicle as well as the normal washbasins in the ladies. There was also a hairdryer 20p to use and another socket you could use I didn't use that one but think it was 20p also. I never had to queue to use the showers in the morning. Showers also had the added bonus of lots of pegs on the wall and door for hanging yours clothes on.
Indoor washing up area, very clean.
A handy shop onsite which was quite well stocked and reasonably priced.
We didn't walk to the village from the site as there are no pavements, felt a little unsafe with small children but we did find a nice walk almost opposite the entrance of the site, we walked across some fields full of buttercups and through an orchard, very pleasant.
We visited Haynes Motor Museum whilst staying here.
I'd definitely recommend Southfork it is a lovely, quiet, friendly and reasonably priced site. A big thumbs up.

A lovely site, beautifully kept and delightfully quiet. We chose one of the fully serviced pitches (2 available), which had plenty of space and made for a most pleasant stay.
Loo block modern and spotlessly clean, with (Ladies) 2 showers, hairdryer, and a couple of separated washbasin cublicles. Well-stocked shop, with plenty of 'van parts as well as usual provisions.
Good location for visiting Montacute, Lytes Cary, Tintinhull and Barrington. Pubs within walking distance, but road walking so take care in narrow lanes.
Owners were very kind and helpful, and we would certainly recommend this site!

What a little gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay camping with family, us in the caravan and they in their tent. The site is immaculately kept, nice flowers, not too muddy, despite the recent heavy and prolonged rainfall! I don't think I've seen a cleaner toilet block - at least not in the summer holiday - it was heated, so no damp or mould to be seen. For a small site, this has it all. There is a small play area, adequate for younger children, but also with space for ball-play, including a basket-ball net. For older children, the excellent recreation ground in Martock is a short bike-ride away. The owners are very friendly and helpful and run a little servicing shop with the site. Our broken ALKO stabiliser was seen to and fixed while we were on site, excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

One of the best kept, best value sites in the area in our opinion. It's small - only about 25 pitches - which makes it all the more amazing that the facilities are so good; a really well stocked little shop and the showers / toilets / laundry are immaculate - free showers too. And it's QUIET at night! Stone's throw to places like East Lambrook Manor Gardens, Montacute and Barrington Court so a great base for sightseeing. And villages like South Petherton are little gems. If you're staying in the area - or even travelling further SouthWest - try a stopover here for a while.

Just back from a 4 night stay. Really used this as a trial for our new tent before France this summer. Overall a very well run campsite with friendly owners who were happy to help (like lending us an extension lead for the EHU because some pitches were too boggy) Nice area with lots to do. We "paid for" our annual NT membership within a 10 mile radius! Took our bikes, some nice little roads to explore as long as you don't mind a 4X4 on your tail (narrow!). Not far from the sea albeit the roads can be slow. As for the site, its fairly well reviewed below; its flat, smallish (35 or so pitches), half with EHU, newly refurbed amenity block, indoor washup / laundry, and recent playground. Small shop is open 9-5, small amount of provisions, OS maps, and masses of stuff for the tin tents! (They also have a caravan repair business on site) In conclusion, next time we are in Somerset we will happily return.

Our stay at this site was not planned. It was recommended by a friend. We didnt know whether we would get a pitch at such short notice, but the owners were very helpful. Weather was not kind all weekend. The owners wereexcellent. The site is only small about 25 pitche in all and about 3 static caravans. The shop was well stocked and having a workshop on site as well there were plenty of spare parts available if you needed something urgently. There is a really great play park for the kids at the bottom of the field and a lovel dog walk for the four legged friends which is enclosed. Its surrounded by beautiful countryside. I would definately go back again.

Stayed on this site for two nights as stopover and was really impressed with it. Small and laid out as two rows of units, uncluding some static caravans for hire. Grounds very well kept. Nice playground which owners said they were going to renovate soon. Very clean toilets, showers and washing up area. Owners were really friendly. They also have a caravan repair business attached, so shop stocks lots of caravan odds and ends as well as foodstuff. Owners told us just to come and find them if we wanted anything when shop was shut which I thought was nice. Lots of National Trust places nearby and Fleet Air Arm Museum, which site has discount vouchers for. Overall a very pleasant place for stopover or short break.

This is not a review for a stay, but a review of the service I have recieved there. Mick (the owner ) is extreamaely friendly and helpful, they have a well equipped workshop and are very proffessional. The charges are reasonable and everything is explained.
I would highly reccomend the service and price here to anyone in the area with a van that needs a service.
