Shown to pitch on arrival which is good. Shower block and toilets immaculate and plenty of space in showers. Campsite very well kept and clean. Pitch sizes were good.
Overall site was as stated in their website, good location for touring Cornwall and good walks especially with dogs. Very quiet.
Only drawback as it is adult only site the owners children plus friends were a bit noisy in owners swimming pool, plus their dog did venture into campsite, but as one of their rules was dogs to be kept on leads we were a bit disappointed with this.
Ice cream in reception was too available but not knocking this only too many calories! but would recommend the site and would definitely go back if we ventured to Cornwall again.

We visited this site last week it was everything and more that one could wish for. Wonderful facilities, plenty of hot water and very clean. The site is well maintained and well situated for the coast and gardens of Cornwall
Nearby Truro is good for shopping and St Agnes good for food and coastal views.
All in all an excellent find I would definitely recommend

Another enjoyable stay at Killiwerris and as always Stephen and Andrea were friendly and ready to offer help. The weather was even kind to us this year and we had some really long sunny periods.
Plenty to do around the site, especially for us where our Geocaching is concerned.
Our main problem is the very addictive ice cream that is on sale in the reception area, Mmmmmm!
Pitch already booked for 2011 and really looking forward to using the new facility block that is being installed in December.
Was very nice to see some people we have met here before and to make some new friends as well.

Well our second year at Killiwerris and still love it. It is so nice to have owners like Stephen and Andrea, who can not do enough to make your stay as good as possible. The site has always been full when we have been here and we have never had any problems with using the facilities at any time.
Some people comment on the railway line nearby and also about the sawmill but I must be honest, after the first day or so it just blended into the background.
To me the idea of the 'Tranquil Sites Group' is that they are for adults only for those of us who want to holiday away from children. There is fresh bread and milk available daily plus free range eggs along with a range of local ice cream.
If you want somewhere different to have something to eat try Smokey Joes Transport Cafe at Blackwater, so good that the locals go there for meals all the time and it is well worth a visit, just don't get sidetracked by the display of sweets just inside thedoor, all of their food is really We love this site so much that we have already booked to come stay for Christmas and New Year as they are now open all year.

We had a lovely time on a delightful site. We can't add much to previous positive comments - it's all been said. We just loved the peaceful location. If you visit please walk along the lane just outside. The flowers in the hedgerows were beautiful, the dozens of rabbits in the field opposite were hilarious even if we could only see their bobbing tails, and as for the blackbird, his singing was simply glorious.

A very pleasant campsite, ideally situated for exploring this part of Cornwall.
The pitches are of good size for a motorhome but may be a bit of a squeeze if you are a caravan owner with an awning.
The washing facilities are spotlessly clean and tidy but if the site is full I would imagine they may well be overstretched.
The owners Steve and Andrea are very accommodating even at 9 pm on a Saturday night when our campervan sprang a leak and Steve found me a ladder and some silicon sealant to remedy the problem.
Whilst the weather was too bad to walk to the village of Chacewater, the Kings Head pub is a must. Sam the charming young woman behind the bar serves an excellent pint to compliment the great food. The chip shop in the village also serves excellent food.
Would we visit it again? Yes and hopefully with some better weather.

What a lovely site! We had a brilliant large site with lovely white hardstanding, grey water connection and our own tap. The toilets, elsan and dishwashing areas were always immaculate and I never had to wait for the showers. There is a train track near the site but we never saw it and all you hear is the odd train horn - no rumbling etc. We came after a wet week and I did feel sorry for the grass for the back pitches as the cars were churning it up - it would have been better is the 'road' was extended up to those pitches.
The owners were soooo helpful and relaxed and happily lent up a hook up lead after ours wasn't long enough! It was lovely and quiet and we had a lovely time. -Please ignore the negative reviews and give the site a try its one of the best we've been on!

A wonderful find, yet another peaceful Adults Only site. Stephen and Andrea are so friendly and helpful they make staying here a pleasure. Most pitches are fully serviced hardstanding except for 4 in the bottom field. Toilet facilities are always kept spotless and checked twice a day, 2 showers each side with the gents having two separate toilets and wash basins and the ladies have a toilet in one shower room and one in another cubicle plus two hand basins. One washing up sink and a chemical disposal point. There is a washing machine and t/dryer in a separate area. Shops within 2 miles. I have already booked to return next year.

What a absolutely wonderful site, the owners, Stephen and Andrea, are so friendly and helpful it is amazing, nothing was to much trouble and if they could help in any way the did. The facilities were always clean and well maintained although we always use the shower / washing / washing up facilities in our van as we were on a full service pitch. Like the previous report we found that you tended to forget that the railway line was there.
Plenty to see and do within easy driving distance. Plenty of walks around the site and down to Chacewater.
I would recommend this site to any couple who want to visit Cornwall and have some peace.

Site - Compact well maintained with 16 hard standing pitches and another 4 grass pitches in adjoining field. Each pitch has room for caravan, awning and car but not necessarily arranged as per CC layouts. Stephen and Andrea took over the site in September 2007; Stephen indicated that there will be some reorganising of the pitches over the winter months
This is a very quiet site and although there is a railway line close by there I cannot say that it caused us any concerns
The heated toilet and shower facilities were average, generally very clean, with mop and bucket available for cleaning after use, they could have benefited from a sponge or jay cloth to clean the sinks after use. In the female section there were two showers - one with a toilet and one lone toilet and two washbasins. In the gents there were two toilets, two showers and two wash basins. Although the site was 7/8 ths full there was never a need to wait to use the facilities. Washing up facilities were adequate with one sink and double drainer and plenty of hot water, there was also a cold fill washing machine and tumble dryer available.
The owners were very friendly a, relaxed and accommodating, a welcome pack with a host of leaflets with things to do in the area was given on arrival.
The location was ideal for us easy access to and from the A30, this is the only route to approach the site from, access for cars only is available from Chasewater direction. East and West coasts are within 5 miles with Lands End and The lizard being within 30 miles as is the Eden Project
Supermarkets are within 5 miles at Truro and Redruth, with the latter being the more convenient to visit and having the benefit of a petrol station at Tescos.
We had 9 superb days of sunny weather ideal for walking the coastal paths and pottering around the heritage sites, 4 days were a little damp but that did not deter us as there are plenty of places to see and things to do. Although the toilet facilities are not up to CC standard this would not deter me from going back as this is a well kept, quiet site ideally situated in the southern part of Cornwall.
