When we arrived and went to the shop to tell them that we were here they checked the booking and gave us no welcome, maps or details of the site or facilities available or a guide to nearby beaches. A smile or an 'enjoy your holiday, ' would have been nice. We had paid over £200 get more of a thankyou and response when I buy a paper from the corner shop back home.
The pitch was ok but the end pitches have no grass and are near the road so not suitable for children.
The toilets (all three of them, two for ladies and one for men)are swished with toilet cleaner at 8am in the morning, watch out as the floor gets a bucket too but they are rarely cleaned. After 10. 30am beware as they are often smelly and dirty as you can get over 100 campers and caravanners plus those off the beach using them.
There are no sinks for a wash except for the tiny sinks in the toilets which occasionally have a little or no hot water. There are no lights in them during the night or early morning.
The washing up facilities for crockery etc, are really unhygenic as there are only two sinks of which one, if you are lucky has tepid water. I have seen vermin on them during the late evenings. Do not put your things on the draining board as they are filthy with little flies or old food bits. They really need to be enclosed and an extra sink for clothing and cloths as the are often used to wash beach stuff and flipflops so can become sandy too.
I found the spiders and moths were not cleaned out during my stay and the mould in the showers and gunk should be dealt with on a daily not monthly basis. I heard they were once cleaned before the Caravan Club stayed at Whitsund.
Noise from the pub can be heard but it is rarely excessive and you can hear the sea too which is really relaxing, unless their is a storm!
The beach is over the road and you are allowed to take dogs on it but I have seen many people pretend to pick up their dogs poop, especially early morning. Would you let your child swim there?
Although I would not recommend the site to campers, if you use your own caravan facilities you should be OK.
The location to nearby Saundersfoot, Amroth and Tenby, along with the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, is superb and there are swimming pools and at Narbeth and Tenby if you don't feel clean using the grotty site facilities.
We paid £30 for a pitch in the school holidays, this included electricity.

Great location, very close to beach and pub, site was clean and tidy with hardstandings. Plenty of walks nearby and only a short drive to Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Downsides were toilet block was poor with only 1 cubicle and 2 urinals in the male toilet, which I would imagine gets really busy as it now seems as campers are allowed with the caravans,
tv signal was non existent and the site needs a barrier system to stop the public from entering and driving around the site, although CCTV is installed I wouldn't have thought it's monitored 24hrs.

Nice looking site. Thoughtfully set out with plenty of hardstandings. Pub and beach are only just across the road. Ideal location for visiting surrounding areas, ie: Saundersfoot and Tenby.
The person taking our fee on arrival was not the happiest of souls and gave us no information at all regarding the site. She didn't even bother to tell us that we would need tokens for the showers.
Ground is very boggy when wet. There are two ladies toilets with very small wash basins and no hot water (not even warm). There are only two showers between both sexes. The gents consists of two urinals and one toilet and two wash basins. These facilities are extremely basic and in need of a major facelift. There are lots of cobwebs and an amazing number of species of insects. The floors are covered in dead leaves. Obviously not cleaned too thoroughly. The showers are operated on tokens which I think is a bit of a cheek after paying £18 per night in November. The washing up facilities are very open to the elements and not overly clean.
The pub (same people as site) was holding a quiz night (Wednesday) when we arrived and was absolutely heaving. The music was deafening and the general atmosphere was unfriendly. The menu was expensive.
Great location and general set-up let down by lack of attention to detail. £18 per night in November (showers extra) is very overpriced for what you get.
Would we visit again. No, never

Great site !
Location, well let's just say you can throw a stone to the local pub and beach.
1 mile walk either way and you can go to Saundersfoot or Amroth across a path or the beach. Very nice.
Site itself very clean and tidy. Shame you have to pay £1 for the showers.
Shop offers most things you need also.
Only lacks club house but then the pub is part of the same owners so it's better really and dog friendly so a bonus.
Will def return over the summer

A real gem of a site. 20 flat, gravel pitches. 16amp hook-ups. Clean facilities. Just across the road from a lovely dog-friendly beach. Well stocked shop, great pub about 100yds away, serving morning coffee, bar meals, evening meals, very busy. The pub also allows dogs in the old bar. Lovely, level walk to Saundersfoot (about 1.5miles) with stunning views, and suitable for a disabled scooter. Extremely friendly, helpful staff.
Only negatives:- TV reception poor with normal Omnimax aerial. No Motorhome waste water point. Only 2 ladies toilets! (never enough!), 2 Gents toilets, and two unisex showers. Not a problem off season, but could be when the site is full.
Location definitely makes up for all the negative points. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed at Wisemas Bridge campsite for one week, just before the August Bank Holiday. There were 2 adults, three teenagers and two smaller children in our party. This review is based on the tent field with no electric hook up. Please read this to the end.
On arrival, the field was very wet/boggy. There was no pre allocated pitch. On this site, I felt that was for the best as you are free to try and find a pitch as dry as possible!
There are two toilet blocks: One is on the electric hook up site. This has a couple of his and hers individual toilet cubicles that contain one toilet & a sink and small mirror. There is no hand soap or paper towels and the hand dryer didn't work. Here also, in separate individual cubicles are a couple of showers. These are operated by tokens you can buy from the shop for 50p each. The water was hot and we only needed one token per shower. Around the side of this building are the only two washing up sinks available.
The second toilet block is smaller and located via a path from the corner of the camp field, through some trees and towards the shop. This block has no (dish) washing up sinks but apart from the toilets and shower, it has a room on the side with coin operated washing machine, dryer, emergency 999 phone and a token operated electricity point for hairdryers, hair straighteners etc. That's more than some sites have! I would advise you to take toilet roll for any early morning, late night visits. Both units are cleaned out and stocked up daily but they do run out.
The shop was well stocked and the staff there were very nice.
We did not eat at the Wisemans Bridge Inn as to be honest we were camping on a budget and there were 7 of us. We did BBQ's at our tent. We did sit outside for a drink at the Inn one evening, it is in a lovely setting right overlooking the beach.
The beach at wiseman Inn is lovely, our children had so much fun looking in rock pools and playing in the sand. Saundersfoot beach is just a short, pleasant walk away too.
Folly Farm is a nice day out worth doing, even our teenagers enjoyed that day. Oakwood theme park was good too.
All in all, we had a lovely week. Yes, the facilities are not the best or even the cleanest but at only £12.00 a night inclusive of a large tent, 7 people, two cars etc. Most sites were trying to charge us £350.00 for the same week.
This camp site is in a lovely position and if the sun had shone all week it would have been great.

Before we visited this site we had read the other reviews about this site saying about it could be a little boggy but decided to risk it because it looked good value for money as we were taking a 7 people a large tent and 2 cars and all for only £12 a night.
When we arrived we took one look at the camping field and could not believe the state of it, there were deep ruts where cars had been on it and standing water and mud everywhere. The owners had made some attempt by putting woodchip down and some sort of field drainage had been laid because every 50ft or so there was a thin strip of cobbles running diagonally across the field.
We found a spot at the bottom of the field because this looked the least churned up this of course meant trudging across the field every time we wanted the toilet block. The kids usually came back plastered in mud and wood chippings making it a near impossible job to keep the tent clean inside.
The facilities for the camping field consisted of a toilet next to a basin (with only one cold tap) which always was a bit smelly and very dark, two shower rooms and a laundry room. If you wanted washing up facilities you had to go to the other block through the woods about a 10min walk away so we ended up boiling water and washing up in the tent.
On the plus side it is a lovely location with a nice beach and plenty of rock pools also some good rocky outcrops for fishing off, but after 6 days there I really did wish that I had paid more money and gone somewhere else!
PS if you go take a pair of wellies!

Amazing location for access to the beach, pub and walks to Saundersfoot and Amroth. Well stocked shop with everything you need.
Downsides: Should this really be a camp-site as the fields/pitches are absolutely sodden wet. When we turned up, we were very kindly lead to an area where the non hook up tents usually pitch but as the field was so wet, and I mean more large pools and puddles than grass, we we were offered an alternative lay-down area that had been created due to the bad weather. However, as it was a hard standing which had been covered with chipped bark it was impossible to get a tent peg in there. On speaking to the owner while on the verge of turning around and going home, we managed to persuade her to let us pitch in the overflow car park. Due to the bad weather, that area also become sopping wet with excess mud and water, it was a complete mess, to the point where if you stood in your tent, your foot would sink. Not great and has consequently damaged the underliner of the tents!
The facilities were very un-kept, no soap, severe lack of loo roll and very smelly. There was no hot water for dishes, but the showers were hot as they were on electric token meters but also filthy!
Such a shame as the site is so well located. The pub is very busy but pleasant, but does attract some unpleasant customers which can prove very noisy and slightly intimidating. That said, as there was no room to sit for a bar meals and the restaurant was fully booked, they did us superb takeaway meals with all the trimmings.
It would be good to return to this location if only they invested in some serious drainage, improved the cleanliness of the facilities and made some serious effort to improve the overall perception of the site.

We spent a long weekend here, just me OH and the dog. The site is in a fantastic location but is sadly lacking in other areas.
As mentioned the hardstandings area for caravans and motorhomes is well maintained but saw lots of people just driving around and wandering onto the site. We camped on the other side of the site and we managed to get a large grassy pitch but many others were unsuitable for tents or too small.
Before pitching we had to clear the mess left by the previous occupants (cigarette butts, waste food, bbq coals etc). We were lucky and had fabulous weather so that really helped. During our stay we saw no-one from the site either carrying out checks or cleaning / doing maintenance. There are very few showers and toilets, the site was only one third full when we went so I would imagine in high season you could be in for a wait!
The pub is very handy but very expensive too.
It's a real shame as this site could be superb given it's location, I don't think it would be very popular if somewhere else. The owners are really missing a trick I think.

Good Points.
Great location - 50m from a nice beach, small well stocked shop, local pub, sheltered from the wind, electric points, toilets, showers, wash area, 20min walk/10 min bike ride to Saunderfoot.
Bad Points.
Camping field was a mess due to rain and people driving over field, wash basins in toilets never had soap and no place to hand towels or place anything down. Also basin close to urinal and one toilet for blokes. Upon arrival it was a free for all, not organised. Lots of wasps around. Toilets and bins done once a day. Water tap had not drain so ended up very muddy. People played ball games next to caravans and tents. Some consideration for others should be observed. No phone signal for Orange or Vodafone on site.
Overall a great little site but could do better with some drainage and organisation. They could also make the washing up area better as only two sinks and very little hot water.
As a tent holding 2 adults and 3 kids with electricity we were charged £25 (but told £18 on phone). Without electricity it was £12. So not sure if they hiked up the prices due to the camping field being a mess and everyone wanted to move to the field with electricity.
