Lovely site in a pretty village. Pub food excellent quality and value, we were made to feel very welcome. Free wi-fi, good TV and radio signals. £18 per night with EHU which can be paid by card over the phone. The booking was very efficient and I received a prompt confirmation e-mail.
When booking I did mention that we needed hard standing, the landlady said no problem as the grass was 're-inforced' which it was. We had a lovely stay until we tried to leave, we were well and truly stuck despite using our gripper tracks.
Many thanks to the Landlord, the chef (in his whites!)and the charming pub customer who pushed the van out. The owners were genuinely shocked that their recently installed grass reinforcement hadn't worked. We would return if a true hardstanding spot was available, currently there is only one but they are hoping to provide another. Caravans had no problem on the grass.

A great site!
We spent a three-night weekend here with a large group of friends and loved every minute of our stay. The food and beer in the pub was second to none and the staff (both in the pub and on the site) couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasant and enjoyable one.
The showers/WC were kept clean and the showers are excellent with really high water pressure and large enclosures.
We'll definitely be back, in fact I've emailed the pub today asking when bookings for next July can be made.

This was a happy discovery. We weren't sure if this would be ok but it was only a one night stopover and took a chance. Very welcoming and helpful camp manager. Field is immediately behind a good but isolated pub but there was no noise from it. Great showers and wcs although there were only 2 and they were quite busy. We arrived Sunday evening, unfortunately there was no pub food so we had a barbecue outside our van. Went to pub for a drink and to use their free wi-fi later and were very generously given left overs of the Sunday roast lunch food! So, in all, very friendly and welcoming. Wished we were able to stay more than one night and were not touring. We recommend this site.

This is a great campsite.
When we arrived we were greeted by the site warden, who directed us to our pitch and highlighted the location of showers, WC, wash up, bins, etc. Despite it being the first day of the school holidays, the site was quiet.
Our pitch was level and although I'm unsure the amperage of the EHU, it didn't trip once - although the weather was so hot we never had to use our 2kW electric heater.
The shower/WC facilities consist of two bathrooms, each with a mini toilet and double size shower cubicle. They are without doubt the best shower/WC facilities I've seen; hotel standard in my opinion. In addition, there is plenty of hot water and no silly push button. For the number of pitches I would say 2 bathrooms is about right - I never had to queue and when the pub is open you can use the WC in there.
The campsite is enhanced considerably by the pub. It does a number of real ales; the food is excellent and good value for the portion size. There is a fantastic beer garden round back which in July held onto the sun until it set.
I inquired about walking in the area and teh warden came back with 2 leaflets with detailed info on several walks - 2 from the pub itself.
On the final night we paid for a fire pit which was supplied with sufficient wood to last the week. It was lovely to spend our last night outside the tent - drinking, chatting and toasty warm - all in the quiet seclusion of this fantastic campsite.
We will definitely be back and may take one of their glamping pods.

We stayed here as part of a short cycling tour and we hadn't pre-booked. There were one or two other units there, plus the glamps. The landlord wasn't sure how much to charge, as we didn't have a car, so went to ask the warden, who lives in a static caravan at the back of the pub and she said to charge us £12.
We were pleasantly surprised by the facilities, which are in two separate bathrooms at the side of the pub, exclusively for users of the camp site and glamps. The site itself is pleasant with a good covering of grass. The pub is ok, at least as far as beer is concerned, though we didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. We certainly intended to come back if our cycling took us into the Lincolnshire Wolds again.
In July 2015 we had a couple of days free so decided to return, but we noticed that the pub does not open on Mondays, and we were planning to stay Mon/Tue, so we thought we'd better check that the site was open. The website booking facility gives a flat fee of £18, which we thought was a steep increase, but we noticed that they charge £5 for an extra car, so assumed that last year's fees must have been 'minus one car'. When we phoned to enquire, we were passed from one person to the next and were finally told, rather abruptly, that £18 was what they were going to charge. Sadly, I don't think we'll be coming here again.

We had a lovely stay at this site over a weekend, we chose it to try out our 'new' 31 year old recycled caravan. We where greeted at the entrance by the wonderful warden who directed us on to the site and gave us the choice of a number of non electric pitches. The pitches are well mown and level.
The facilities are clean, modern and large, there are 2 showers with sink and toilet, there's even a hairdryer in them which was a bonus for my wifey seeing as we are non lecky. It was busy on the Sunday but we never experienced any queues.
The best facility is the pub, I do like a pub near where we camp and this was a very nice pub that's obviously had a bit of money spent on it this past year, we ate there twice and it was an enjoyable experience.
Another great feature are the fire pits you can hire, just take some extra firelighters and newspaper because the logs are massive and take some lighting, but once lit they last all night, perfect camping.
The site is in a very quiet and small village 6 miles between Louth and Horncastle, all the shops, takeaways, antiques you could wish for and the seaside isn't to far either. There is also a few nice walks from the pub !
All in all this is a great site in a nice place, just 12 pitches and several glamping pods, its perfect for smaller vans an tents and I would recommend it to those who enjoy a smaller site with no playgrounds etc.
We will definitely be back.

We stayed in our motorhome on a wet weekend so thankfully got the only hard standing pitch otherwise we would still be there now! It was not clear that there was only one hardstanding pitch so check you get it if you need it.
The site is part of the pub and it was good to see it busy on a Friday night. The pub grub was nothing too special but reasonably priced and the beer and friendly bar staff made up for it.
Two mini toilets incorporating showers were ok while we were there because there were only 2 tents and 2 caravans. Might be a struggle at busy times though.
Lovely back way to Cadwell Park 5 mins on the moped or 15 mins cycle avoiding the main road and 6 miles to Horncastle for co op Tesco and independent shops and takeaways.
Would definitely use again for Cadwell.

The campsite is tiny but beautifully maintained and in a very peaceful and picturesque location. It is dog-friendly and child friendly.
The toilets are spotlessly clean, the showers powerful, free and there is limitless(very)hot water. There is one washing-up sink with, again, very hot water.
Wonderful area for walking with leaflets describing walks within the area ranging from gentle strolls to longer rambles provided.
The Three Horseshoes is a charming pub with very friendly and helpful staff. Limited, but very well cooked menus and great ales.
The team were all very welcoming. They provided a free freezer pack service for us and when we were in the pub, made us feel very relaxed and part of the village community (being invited to represent the pub in a quiz night at another village).
We cannot recommend this site enough. We will certainly be paying future visits here.

An excellent pub and campsite. Flat neatly mown camping site, clean toilets & showers with plenty of hot water. Good dishwashing facilities with plenty of hot water here too. Very quiet picturesque area in the Lincolnshire wolds.
The pub is great, the beer (Tom Woods) is top class, the food is tasty, fresh and real yummy. The staff are very friendly, helpful and obliging and the locals are great too.
Very impressed with this establishment, it is a real gem. Visit it, enjoy it and respect it. A lovely place, we will be back. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

So we have just arrived back home after a weekends camping at the Three Horseshoes. The site is small but don't be put off, it is set in a very tranquil location that is perfect for a relaxing break. After walking around the surrounding area there are loads of walks available so bring the dog or make sure you have your walking boots. The facilities are perfect for the size of the site and finished to a very high standard. We are looking forward to returning soon and hopefully finding the renovated pub open.
