Grass pitch with hook up reasonable price at £20per night. Shower block 2 showers, washbasins no wash cubicles, a few more loos but some not in use. Cleaned regularly.
No washing up facilities. Has chemical loo disposal and water tap. Great site within easy walk of beach and town of Rhosneigr.
Next to Raf site noisy at times of take off / landing but interesting. Busy at weekends and limited washroom facilities.

Pleasant enough site.
Owners helpful facilities basic and run down but clean showers warm but nowhere to hang clothes or towels ( although there is a plug for your hairdryer )
no dishwashing facilities
basic elsan facility just a tap no cleaning hose.
More or less next to the beach and perfect if you like plane spotting.
Nice walk into the village couple of shops and three pubs ( not always open)
there is a longer walk to a bar restaurant the oyster catcher ( we had a look round looks very nice).

Positives first.
The owners are wonderful. Very helpful and friendly.
The site itself is very peaceful. In a good location. (We know rhosneigr very well as my parents live in the village) the site is close to the beach and also close enough to a viewing platform to watch the RAF jets take off and land.
We were set up at the back of the field with electric hook up.
It was a nice area. Out of the way and we could feel safe letting our children play out.
The negatives. Yes this site is more for caravans. The toilet/shower/washing up block is a bit too far away from the tent field. There are not enough showers at busy times. One sink for washing pots is not really enough but we didn't have any long waits.
The site is basic, no shop or anything on the tenting side. (I don't know if there was anything on the other side of the road).
There is a shop a few minutes walk down the road, take always, pubs, fat face, a library, chemist and ice cream shop.
The beach can be busy, but it is a nice clean beach.
This was not our first stay, despite the basic facilities this is a good site. It will not be our last stay either. We at least have parents to invade for hot showers if we want to.

Stayed at the site for three nights in early August. Very windy when we arrived and the site is very open to the elements. The owners were relatively friendly lending us some levelling blocks as the site isnt all flat however they didn't seem to be readily available.
The facilities are very basic and in need of renovation. The children's play area is also basic but there is plenty of space for them to run and play - very close to the beach (5 minute walk over some sand dunes) however while we were there it was covered in jelly fish which put my kids off swimming.
Rhosneigr is a lovely village with some good amenities - several good restaurants, a couple of stores and some very cool surf shops. There is a train station nearby however the trains were infrequent and very expensive. This is an ideal place to stay if you are into water sports such as surfing or kite boarding as it is frequently windy and the sea was permanently full of surfers etc.
The major downside to this site is RAF Valley - unless you are into watching planes - the end of the runway is about 150 metres from the edge of the site - the jet planes practise landing and taking off frequently in the mornings which whilst quite exciting for about 10 minutes, after 3 hours it gets a bit annoying - they fly very, very low over the site and it happened every morning whilst we were there.
I probably wouldn't stay there again as a result of the planes and the shower facilities being a little run down - but if you like surfing, watching planes and slightly basic camping this site is in an excellent position and close to a lovely village.

Just come back from a 4 night stay at this site. I can't say enough good things about it. The couple who run/own it are the most helpful people I've come across. We had an issue with our trailer and they were amazing. Our electric hook up wasn't long enough so they gave us an extension to use. Our pitch was great. We were in the corner at the top. The showers that other people have moaned about. All I have to say is every time we used the showers they were hot. Clean and roomy. Everywhere is clean on this site. Beautiful views. You even get your own private air show which our kids thought was amazing thanks to RAF valley. Lots to do close by. Beautiful beach. Will definitely be visiting again next year without a doubt. Thank you so much both of you for a wonderful short break.

We stayed for 3 nights over the Rhosneigr festival weekend. The site was busy but is well run and very laid back. We weren't given the usual list of what we could and couldn't do. There is a slope on the tent field and as a result camping is mainly around the outside of the field which means there is a large open space for the children to play. Nobody seemed to mind this. There is also a flat area which feels quite private. There is a well maintained play area also for the children.
Views from the site are very pleasant including a superb view across RAF Valley for aircraft enthusiasts. There is one toilet block on the main site but signs direct people to another toilet block across the road. This was fairly basic but very clean and there was plenty of hot water. I couldn't believe how quiet it was over there, most people couldn't be bothered to wander across.
Prices are very reasonable and there are plenty of electric hook-ups. Prices are per caravan, there are no extra charges for larger families. We had friends visiting but the very welcoming owners didn't seem to mind. I guess they were pleased to have extra custom in the village.
Rhosneigr has local shops, a golf club (open to non members) and several places to eat out. The beaches are huge and great for watersports. We are planning to return at Easter

I have been camping for 20 years and although we came here on August bank holiday it seems statics and tourers are catered for very well. But us tenters are put in a sloping field with a very long walk to toilets and showers and also waste disposal. I camped with my family age range from me 54 to my grandson 3. There were possibly 250 - 300 campers and there were 3 toilets and 3 showers which by early afternoon and evening were cold. I was not happy with the set up they could at least have toilets for campers nearer. Be warned I would not return here if it were free VERY VERY dissapointed

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Toilet block/showers on hand. Playground within sight of our caravan, felt very secure when son went to play. Lovely little village within walking distance, could park the car and leave it for duration of the holiday. If need be, a shopping complex 15 mins down dual carriageway. Sea gorgeous! Beaches gorgeous! Site owners a pleasure to meet, will be back very soon as we totally enjoyed our stay at Shoreside xx

Chose this site as the site we usually stay on was fully booked. Owners were very friendly on arrival. We found a pitch next to the park as we have young children and like them to be close by. The downside to this pitch is it is on a slope so wouldn't go there again. There are lots of flat pitches near the entrance though.
Our children were subject to the bullies on this park and once again it was because my daughter dared to introduce herself and try to make friends(this is not an issue if your children are happy to stick up for themselves as they run away then).
The toilets and showers were fairly basic to be honest, another downside is there are no hand driers or paper towels provided to dry your hands after using the toilets. As said in a previous review it is quite a large site and the hot water does not last long at all. We only managed one hot shower during our stay. There is no washing machines or driers to use on this park which has been a massive plus to us on previous camping trips
There was a lot of noise until well after midnight coming from the park area and kept us all awake.
The location of the site is very good and rhosneigr is a lovely place for a holiday :)

First the pluses - very accommodating owner who allowed us to book 11 pitches in a combination of tents, motor homes and caravans all in one area. We paid £20 per night for our pitch inc electrics. The surrounding area is lovely with superb beaches and forest walks/bike rides in easy reach. Big Tesco down the A55 10/15 minutes away. Village in easy walking distance with a couple of restaurants and pubs.
And the minuses - this site is set up for the statics. The site covers a large area on each side of the main road and has two toilet blocks, one on each side. There is only one washing up sink for the whole site, so be prepared to queue or wash up at your pitch. We stayed over the spring bank holiday weekend and I never once had warm water to wash/shower(even at 12. 30AM!), never mind hot. 10 out of the 11 families left a day early because the weather suddenly turned very bad and most of us were washed out. There is nothing to do on Anglesey if the weather is poor. Two of us suffered badly damaged tents due to high wind - but our family received a refund for the cancelled night. Summary? Stay if going out of the busy period and you want hot water.
