This site seems to be largely taken up by seasonal tourers into water sports and everyone else slots in around them. The seasonal campers were friendly enough (with the exception of a few of the kids - see below!)
First the good bits!
The price is very reasonable - £20 per night per pitch regardless of how many people.
Location - It's a half mile walk into the village of Rhosneigr where there's a couple of convenience stores, restaurants, chippy and a pub. The site is also next to the golf club where you can go for a drink. The beach is long and seems popular with water sport enthusiasts. Unfortunately the weather was pretty atrocious for the duration of our stay so we were not able to take advantage of the beach.
The site is very laid back - we were literally just given directions to the pitch and left to our own devices, without the usual list of do's and don't's.
Now the not so good bits! Perhaps if we'd had better weather, the good points would have outweighed the bad, but as we were pretty much confined to the site due to torrential rain and wind, the bad points were perhaps more noticeable.
Facilities are pretty basic - toilets and showers are in a small block with a tin roof. The showers are very basic and never seemed particularly clean. I chose to shower outside of what might be classed as busy times as I was warned that once the hot water runs out you have to wait for it to heat up again. There is no shop on site.
Electric is only 6amp - so ok to keep the basics running but you might have problems if you try to plug in too much.
RAF valley - this might be considered a bonus for plane enthusiasts (and fans of Prince William who is based here!) but for us it was just a little too intrusive - being right by the RAF runway means low flying jets throughout the day (although I believe they stop at weekends).
The play park - some of the kids who are on the seasonal pitches seem to rule the roost here. Our kids only went to the park twice for this reason - the first time they witnessed another girl getting a mouthful for introducing herself and the second time our kids were subject to a torrent of abuse for no reason.
All in all, probably one of my least favourite sites but if the weather had been better, my review might have been a bit more positive.

We decided to book after the Easter bank Hols to avoid the crowds, boy did we get that right. You could have walked from one car roof to other on the cars coming out of wales on the A55 / M56.
Shoreside was peaceful enough for us, large fields and with our last minute booking we were given a sheltered corner out of the prevailing wind.
The location is five minutes walk from great beaches and rock pools.
The kids certainly enjoyed the playground and were able to use the adjoining empty field to play in. They did however get some 'attitude' from kids who were on seasonal pitches believing they owned the site.
We did not use any of the local pubs / bars etc so unable to comment on them.
The RAF did provide us with spectacular acrobatics each day so any plane buff out there would certainly enjoy this site.
We stayed for five days in total and the kids did not want come home and neither did I.
My only criticism would be the cleanliness of the toilet blocks. These could do with a scrub and would not miss a quick refurb.
However in balance at £20 per night per pitch (no matter how many kids dogs etc) there is not much to grumble about.

Spent 5 nights at this site just after Easter weekend. Great location for beaches and shops a short 10 minute walk into the village. As mentioned in other reviews the showers are basic but were always clean with plenty of hot water. There is no shop on site and I ran out of gas while there and had to buy gas from the shop in the village as the site do not sell gas.
The nearby RAF Valley provided hours of excitement for the children with jets and helicopters flying overhead from about 8am to 5 pm.
The children's play area consisted of swing, slide and an old boat for the children to play on. Although basic the children had a great time playing there and there was a lot of space for them to run about.
The only downside to our stay was the electrics. At least twice a day we lost mains power even though we only had the fridge and low wattage kettle running, the power would go off even though nothing else had been switched on. I don't know if this was down to a fault or others on the site. There were very few people about and a lot of the 'vans appeared to be seasonal units. Speaking to another site user the supply is 6 amp.
In general the site is basic but good value and we will be returning again, hopefully when its a bit warmer !

Great location - beach which was in easy walking distance, and centre of Rhosneigr not too far away. Facilities were basic but clean, and the showers were free. A bit of noise from the high speed train line nearby, the planes flying overhead from the RAF base over the road, and a few of the other residents who were obviously enjoying themselves until the late hours (probably wouldn't have been an issue if we weren't in a tent and didn't have two young children). There was a slight communication issue regarding where to pitch which dampened our spirits a little but all in all, a nice basic sight which was good value for money. Will probably visit again.

A very comfortable tidy and clean campsite. The price was outstanding and to have free hot showers is a bonus.
The view of Mount Snowdon is breathtaking and a real selling point. There are many shops within walking distance and a great chip shop which sells a cod that is out of this world.
I think this would be a great site for people who want to stop off before sailing to Ireland or anyone who wants a camp site with great views and nice walks.
I will be back sometime again this year and look forward to it very much.

First stay at this site, also the cheapest place we have found -£5 night adults, £2 night kids, no charge for dogs!
We found the lady very helpful
Yes the facilities are basic but if like us, you want cheap and cheerful, in lovely surroundings, this is the place. Some lovely beaches nearby, very windy though as is usual for Anglesey. Some lovely views of Snowdon on a clear day.
What I like about this site, is the relaxed feel - pitch where you like, arrive when you like, leave when you like! We did not even need to pay before arriving, most places want payment over the phone first. Can't stand sites that have loads of rules before you even get the tent up, none of that at this site.
Would def recommend.

We arrived at the site on Friday afternoon having pre booked. We were greeted by a lady who was the owners sons wife. She was not overly helpful.
There was a breeze/wind coming straight over from RAF Valley so we asked if there was any sheltered areas out of the wind, there wasn't. In fact, there was nowhere I could find that had any sort of level ground to pitch our tent. So we had to pitch our quite large tent unevenly and right in the wind.
The site facilities, or lack of them are very basic and the showers and wc need updating. If you were lucky you could have a not very powerful tepid warm trickle shower.
No shop on site but only a 15 Min walk to the shop.
The beach is special and only a 15 Min walk either by road or through the dunes.

Just returned from this campsite today and had a wonderful time with my family, we are 2 adults and 2 kids aged 5 and 8 years - this is the 4th time we have been to Anglesey camping.
We enjoyed the location of the campsite as it was a 5 min walk to the beach where you can watch kite surfing - the small town of Rhosneigr is 10 mins walk away and has 2 shops, fish and chip shop (which was very good - but you do have to wait a while - some people ordering 8 fish and chips in one go).
It is bordering RAF Valley and on friday afternoon there was a lot of plane noise but our kids loved watching them landing and taking off, you also see helicopters and other planes. This all stops at the weekend.
It is basic with only one area to wash up and 3 showers for the ladies - but can cross the road and use the static caravans facilities which were better and had more hot water, as this does seem to run out at certain times.
All in all we had a great time as it was relaxed - we camped in the tent field which was very hilly but we found a nice corner - the views are absolutely amazing all round and the price of only 14.00 per night was excellent value. We would definitely return as loved the location just need to update the facilities and maybe put some closer to the field as was a bit of a trek.

This site is in an excellent location, close to beach and small village with shops/bars however, the site facilities need upgrading, the toilet / shower block is breeze block with a tin roof. The hot water ran out very early in the morning. There was signs up regarding keeping dogs on leads but this was not adhered to, some owners let their dogs roam.
The site is at the end of the RAF Valley runway and if you like planes you will be well pleased.
Staff at the site were very friendly and helpful.

We spent a night here at Easter, revisiting an area (and, indeed this campsite) for the first time in 25 years.
We found the site as good as ever, with a fantastic location within easy walking distance of Rhosneigr, and with the beach literally just across the road.
Very friendly and relaxed attitude from the owners, and while the site is far from level in places we had no trouble finding a good spot which gave us great views.
Our only reservation was that there seemed to be a lot of permanently-sited caravans, which could make it difficult to find a spot for tourers in the high season.
