We stayed here for 3 nights.
Firstly the owners and staff are really friendly and welcoming.
We got shown to our pitch which we have not had on previous camping trips.
There is a car park where you have to park your cars as you are not allowed to park by your pitch but this meant that children were more safe to roam around by your pitch, however they do need to cross the car park to enter the play area.
This play area is new and the kids enjoyed playing there.
There is also a games room where they enjoyed playing. All games are free and you just pay a deposit for the table tennis bats etc.
The toilets and showers and immaculate and warm.
They were spotless and we saw them being cleaned every day.
The showers have a separate area within the cubicle where you can get dressed which is a good idea and saves all your clothes getting wet.
There is also there is an indoor washing up area.
The pitch itself was nestled between some trees. There seemed plenty of space between pitches. All pitches seemed level too.
Seems a nice quiet site but also pefect for families.
The only thing we felt was that if all pitches were taken, there would not be much space for the kids to play around in.
Only other recommendation would be wifi access for fellow face book addicts like myself!
Would definitely recommend site and we will hopefully be visiting again soon!

We stayed here for 4 nights over Easter weekend as we wanted a central location for 3 families from different parts of the country to meet. Getting there was straightforward, and although close to Coventry once you were on the site you felt like you were out in the open countryside. Our tent pitches were on a lovely flat grassy area in between some trees with masses of space between us and any neighbours.
The new play area had just been finished and was used by all ours ranging from age 9 to 1. It is a sturdy timber frame construction with swings, slide, climbing ramp, lookout bridge and a separate plastic wendy house and little slide. The base is full of sand which the kids were also happy playing in, the only drawback being that the tent was then full of sand. It was not so far away from the tent area that you didn't know what was going on, plus the little ones needed supervision anyway.
They had just set up a little shop the weekend we went. It sold icecreams, crisps, sweets, drinks, a few toys and the rest was caravan accessories. I heard one man ask for papers, and I suggested they would do well selling fresh milk. We were allowed to refreeze our icepacks in the bottom of the icecream freezer.
The toilets and showers were well maintained, lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. Soap and paper hand towels were provided for our use. There was a problem with the boilers/gas tank when we first tried the showers resulting in alternate hot and cold water. This was better the next times we used them.
Although perhaps 75% full, the site was never noisy, we knew the kids were safe from traffic, they enjoyed the play area and the games room. There was a separate games field which the older kids went to explore in, although it had not been mown at the time of our visit.
We could not fault the help and friendly service of the owners. We would definitely return here again.

Stayed for 1 night as it's less than an hour from our house. Cannot fault it. The guy on reception was really friendly and took us to our pitch. He pointed out where everything was too us. You can have a barrier key for a deposit but we didn't bother as we didn't plan on leaving site anyway. There is a play area under construction at the moment so that will be good I think once finished. The games room is good could have a game of pool or darts plus a few arcade games ( also free which is a bonus) toilets were immaculate as were showers. All in all would recommend this to anyone for a short break. We look forward to returning again.

We visited the site for a two night stay to coincide with the NEC show. It was our first ever trip in a our new touring caravan so I informed the site prior to my arrival that we are newbys so a level pitch would be extremely appreciated.
Arrival was easy, security barrier requires a £25 refundable deposit but it gave me personally a great deal of reassurance. Entrance to site is not the most attractive, lots of storage of other vans and a American motorhome sales area to drive through to get to camping area but as it was a weekend stop it really didn't matter. Site does have lots of rules and they are over obsessive about the grass. Other rules were nothing that we haven't seen before in our tenting past.
Noise levels on site were non-existent, silence, very peaceful. It rained from the moment we arrived until the moment we left and yes there were muddy paths an puddles but the site did handle the water very well. No commercial type facilities on this site, loo block was spotless, lovely large shower cubicles with seat and plenty of hooks, three showers in the ladies and about 4 or 5 loos I think but as this was off peak I showered alone every time I went in there which was nice as I could sing out loud. Toilet blocks were beautifully warm, plenty of bins and the usual waste water disposal at the rear of the block.
The site is nearly all level apart from a few pitches near the loo block which would need a leveller on one side. All pitches seemed to have hookups, no super pitch type ones though with taps and grey waste connections which I would have loved to try. Dogs are allowed on site, I understand there is a woodland walk from the site for the doggies. Site is small, its almost like a sparse wood with large old oaks mixed in between the pitches but it wasn't so much that they were oppressive. There are grassy areas in the centre of the site for tents with EHU but it is a small site so spaces are limited. I didn't see outdoor facility for children, I understand there is a small playground but it wasn't in sight of the main area of the site so not ideal I would guess for keeping an eye on little ones. There is a games room with a darts board, pool table and space invader type machines in there, it was again lovely and warm and contained some surrounding area information which we used.
Site doesn't allow cars on pitching area, first time we have ever come across this in our donkies years of tent camping, there simply isnt the room frankly as the pitches are too small, the hardstanding pitches have an area of grass alongside for an awning and as the site are very strict about their grass no cars can park on the grass at any time. It is a bit of a chore in the pouring down rain parking the car a way from the van and walking getting wet to get to your pitch. Wouldn't choose a site with this rule for a long holiday but it was OK for a weekend.
I didn't have a TV but others did and they had no problems picking up a signal.
Site access is down a narrow but still two lane road, no tight bends issues, location was ideal for us, 20 mins drive from NEC and great access to get into Coventry.
Pub at the end of the lane called The White Lion, didn't try it simply because it was so jam packed each time we passed it so perhaps that means we missed out, we did go to the The Holyhead and Ye Old Saracens which we got the details for from the web which included two free drinks vouchers for the Old Saracens - satnav got us to each one easily. Both had great atmosphere and great meals. We would definitely use this site again for the NEC, its not a main holiday site for us as it is too isolated and if possible, too quiet (with the car away from pitch rule too). However if all sites had a toilet/shower block like this I would be a happier camper.

Booked just for one night, en route to pick something from Leicester, checked-in on way up. Very helpful gentleman at reception as we had arrived 15 minutes early, no problem and shown to pitch, which was really big for our liitle MH,
All pitches are hard standing and well spaced out. Facilities, loos, showers, and washing up area -good, clean and warm. There was a games room which was free to use, we didn't actually use but had a look around and seemed very good.
Lovely well kept and quiet site. Hopefully will be back. Be very handy for NEC!

Have just returned from spending 3 nights at this site over the bank holiday weekend. Nice quiet site not full for a bank hol weekend which was surprising.
Pitches all hardstanding with EHU and plenty of room, cars have to be left on nearby car park which was good as didn't have to worry about kids playing outside, £25 deposit required for barrier.
Toilets and showers clean, never had to wait but with 4 toilets and 3 showers not sure what it would have been like if site was full. Water in showers hot and wasn't time controlled so didn't have to keep pushing button, plenty of room to get changed in.
Only downside for me would be the kids playground only suitable for under 4s, my kids weren't impressed and its not near to the pitches. Games room ok, all free.
Nice short walk to White Lion didn't eat there but menu looked ok. Short drive into Coventry for all shops.
Overall nice quiet site, could do with a little shop and better playground for all ages. Not that expensive, we got discount for being camping and caravan members, would return.

Have just returned from 2 nights here to try out folding camper and to visit the NEC, Birmingham. Nicely laid-out site that is clean & tidy and well-maintained. Toilets and showers well up to standard.
Ideally located for Coventry, Birmingham and surrounding area with good road links. Despite this, the site is very quiet and peaceful (apart from the woodpeckers tapping at the trees every morning at 6am!).
Excellent games room with pool tables, table tennis table, darts and games machines - all free-of-charge. Liked that fact that access to the site was via a security barrier (and a barrier key was provided in return for a small deposit) and also cars were parked away from units in a close but separate car parking area - much safer for the kids to run around. Would definitely return to this site again and plan to do so to visit Birmingham attractions.

We needed two nights stay near Coventry and this caravan camp site was perfect; having loads of room to pitch tent and electric points were available if you wanted them.
Tap water not many feet away, toilets were immaculate whilst shower blocks were spotless. Very quiet site, down side no shopping facilities. We felt they could provide a map as to where nearest shops were as we went walking and never found anything local- big mistake.
The available map showing various facilities was on a board but this was poorly designed I suggest a separate sheet for interested parties on application.

Arrived and was greeted at reception by Lyn, the manager, very pleasant. We were directed to the camp area and met up with Ray, the warden. He showed us where we could set up and advised that we must have 20feet between tents. We had an enormous pitch area and we pitched both our tents and had loads of room to spare. Cars are allowed to the pitch only to unload, etc, but not on the grass, good idea. Every pitch has its own EHU.
My only gripe - when booking I always ask if there is a freezer available for our ice blocks, if the answer is no then I look elsewhere. I was advised that there was a freezer available and therefore booked the site. When we finished pitching we did our usual recce to find out where the loos and washup areas where. Did not find a freezer. Asked another tenter couple and they knew nothing about a freezer and neither did the warden. I trekked over to reception and spoke to Lyn, the freezer is in their own house and so not accessible to us personally and also not when reception was shut. This was OK with us, just a bit of forward planning needed.
Now the good bits - there is a children's play area, but it is not in view of the pitches, so some parents may not be happy with this.
Showers - good and hot and not on a timer, but there is no thermostat to control the heat and at times it was too hot. There was no hot water at the hand basins and washup area for the first few days, but we overheard the manager talking to a boiler repair man, so there had obviously been a problem. The shower cubicle is well designed so that you can hang up your clothes just inside the door, there is also a little bench seat, then go round the corner to the shower.
Toilets were very clean and the shower/toilet block was heated and smelt clean.
Washup area - this was a huge room but only one sink and drainer, but it did the job OK (when the hot water came back!)
Water points were all close by so not far to fill up kettle, so close that we didn't bother with our usual water carrier.
Ray, the warden is very helpful, and can be seen driving around in his little buggy from time to time, offering lifts on the way back from the loos!
Shops - very close to Coventry city centre, there is a Morrisons nearby, very good prices and got some tasty meat for the barbie. Heard there was Tesco, but didn't look for it.
There is a pub at the bottom of the road The White Horse, ate there on Friday night, never again. Food is bought in and heated up, absolutely terrible (the mashed potato was Smash!)
All in all, we spent a very relaxing time here, watching the squirrels first thing in the morning, talking to the gorgeous black and white cat. It is a beautiful site and very well protected from the usual winds, etc by the perimeter shrubs and trees, Not once did we need our usual 'night fleeces' when sitting outside at night.
Would I go back? most definitely yes. Value for money? a bit pricey, but yes.

Newbie to camping with my family two teenagers and 12year old. The site is situated in Coventry not far from home but it is a quiet site and surrounding area. The pitch we were given was for four tents we were the only one on it lots of space. The staff were very helpful on arrival and escorted to our pitch giving us all the details of the site. The experience was great fun only went for one night to practice putting up the tent found it very easy to pitch.
The facilities on site were great toilets and showers very clean well looked after. The children had great fun playing in the games room for most of the evening, and we played games by the tents. The other campers there were friendly and polite but gave you your our space.
Would go again to the site great value for money for a weekend away and fun would recommend this site to anybody who is just trying out camping or want a quiet time away.
