Quiet & small secluded site set in picturesque surroundings. Site warden is very helpful & nothing is a bother day or night. Shower block small (3 showers & 3 toilets)but excellent facilities. Very clean & one of the biggest shower units I've used on a campsite. Great for taking kids in as there is separate area to get ready/dry. No shop onsite but easy driving distance to nearby shops, Coventry & Birmingham. Pitches are spacious & we were given the whole bottom 'island' field to ourselves (at busy period) which was great. Only downside was kids play area left to rust & looked dangerous. However, as lots of room the kids made their own entertainment. Site has benefit of underground drainage, which luckily worked the weeks before we arrived when there was bad floods in the area. Watch out for the pesky squirrels who will steal your food if left unopened - had a comedy moment in the early hours chasing one around our gazebo with a scone in its mouth! Recommended this site to quite a few friends & would definitely go back if we returned to that part of the uk.

We stayed Feb/March from Sunday - Saturday. The reception staff were welcoming and Ray was very helpful as this was out first caravanning experience they gave us an easy pitch. The site also sells and rents motorhomes. So you have to pass through the business yard to get to the camp site. The toilets/showers were clean when we arrived on Sunday they were next cleaned on Wednesday but were not cleaned again before we departed on Saturday. I hate to think what they would be like if the place was busy. The heating in the ladies block was woefully inadequate only one small wall mounted heater. It was absolutely freezing. The place is extremely quiet and none of the other caravanners spoke to us. We found this a lonely and very solitary experience. This kinda put us off. We honestly had the idea that we could sit out and chat to our neighbours over a glass of wine. Thank goodness for the dog at least she was good company. We won't put everyone into this category we will reserve judgement until we have made a few more trips.
The walking around the site is excellent there is a big field yards from the main entrance that's great for dogs to have a good run about. There is a pub called the White Lion that serves food it's within walking distance. We didn't use it. It was not dog friendly and the walk down the pitch dark lane put us off. Three IMPORTANT points 1. Make sure you stock up well because there are no shops within walking distance 2. The site does not take switch only cash or cheque 3. We used sat nav and it told us to come up via Pikers Lane. Thank god there were two horse riders coming down the lane and we couldn't turn up into it. They gave us good advice. As it happens this lane is too small to take a caravan up and we would have got stuck. Our sat nav is not clever enough to work out a route for a caravan. So if yours is the same it's easy pass Pikers Lane then first right and then first right again. The turn into the park is extremely sharp and narrow so be careful. They have cut off the easy entrance because they said people were using it as a turning place !. Hope this is of some help.

Had a lovely weekend apart from the noisy ill mannerd tenters Ray was marvellous at trying to mediate but they did spoil the ambience of such a peaceful site and a site where our dogs are welcome We have stayed here many times before and this is the first time that some one else spoilt it I personally thought they should of been asked to leave as did another couple who stayed on the site

We spent a weekend here with our family. Two tents, a caravan, 6 adults, 2 children and 3 dogs. When we arrived we went to reception and a really lovely lady took our money and deposit for barrier and showed us to our pitch. First impressions of the site aren't great as you drive through a yard of campervans/RVs which I think was a separate business. We had been pitched together which was good. After pitching, unpacking and sorting out tea a man in a golf buggy appeared and said we would have to move one of the tents as we weren't 20 feet apart. Apparently we would be fined and so would they if health and safety turned up! He said we could wait til morning. My dad didn't like the way he spoke to me and there were words exchanged which left us all feeling really upset and we said we would leave in the morning.
The loos were clean and bright. The children's play area is dreadful, overgrown with weeds, fisher price equipment. Don't think the site really wants children there, there were so many rules and regulations about no ball games, running around etc.
I have to say this was the quietest site I've ever stayed on. Everyone was in bed by 9, no quiet chatting over a glass of wine
Next morning the lady from reception came and apologized for Ray, said our tents were fine and 'Ray sometimes gets carried away' and asked us please not to leave.
As we were visiting friends in the area we decided we would stay the weekend, but hardly spent any time on the site and it did spoil our weekend together.

Well what can I say peace and new friends, it was a wonderful site and there is a guy who is called Ray, he was very helpful and even told the children what they can find in the fields and we came home with a jar of crickets (thank you Ray). This was our first time ever to go camping, we enjoyed it so much we returned the following weekend for 4 nights, this time there are great walks and great local pubs. It does say you cant play ball games but there is an empty field which, as long as you play with a soft ball, you are welcome to play in it, also you can play badminton in there but to be honest it was just nice to sit there and watch the world go by - no noise and the children were safe at all times. This was very relaxing and help was always at hand, in fact we are even thinking of having a caravan so we can escape in the winter months. If you want peace and quiet and nice walks this is the site.

Have just returned for an extremely pleasant visit to this site. My parents were down and we popped across all through the Easter weekend to visit before we were able to get a pitch on Monday. A bouncy castle was provided for the kids, including yesterday when ours were the only kids there! There is a small park for the kids (under 5’s only). The toilet and showers were very clean and there always seemed to be plenty of hot water in the mornings.
This site warden, Ray, is a really nice guy, finding phone numbers for local business, stopping to chat to everyone from our 3 year old daughter about her new mobile phone (plastic imitation one) to my parents about their dogs and his huge dog (honestly it looks like a black wolf but is very friendly).
There are a lot of rules on the site mainly concerning the grass, no dogs, no cars and my parents were a little put off by the fact there was only 6 amps on the electric hook ups, which meant there kettle tripped everything constantly. Its also the first site they’ve ever had to pay for their dogs on, only a quid a night but when you’ve got 3!We will go back though, its local, its clean, its quiet and Ray was very helpful.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at Hollyfast. It was very well run, clean, and very quiet. When we arrived we were shown to our generously sized pitch after paying a £25 (fully refundable) deposit for the electronic car barrier key. The showers/Toilets were clean and modern and definitely some of the better ones we'd come across in our time camping. There's not much to do on site as the rules are quite restraining, however that suited us just fine! The Red Lion pub that is about 1.5 miles away is great if you need to keep the kids entertained as it has an outdoor play area. You do need to book if you are dining at the weekend as it does get busy. Overall a very good site which we will use again if we are touring in this area.

Nice quiet site. Went with three teenagers and two dogs had a very relaxing weekend. Toilets and showers are brand new. Small Games room with machines and pool table. Quite a few children playing badminton and tennis without getting told off. On the whole great for a quiet weekend just relaxing, eating, drinking, sunbathing. On-site warden lovely old gent with great sense of humour.

June 2005 Visited this site for the weekend only! The site was very clean and the toilets were excellent although showers a bit cold. The site was quite which was strange but after seeing site rules it is understandable, there was a games room but no food or drink and all games needed money and the kids playground only for under 5's. No ball games to played and no bikes on the grass, no cars on the grass, no music after 9 o'clock, no dogs on the grass and theres more but I would be here all day. The only saving grace to the site was Ray who was kind helpful and a truly nice bloke, but this site is really for adults only who want a quite relaxing weekend and have no kids to keep occupied.

May 2005 What an excellent site - we were suprised to say the least as we booked late for may bank holiday weekend. The site was superbly looked after, with well tended for pitches, fanastic wooded areas and brand new toilets and showers which really were top notch. It was hard to imagine that the sites only 4 miles from Coventry City centre, as it was so quiet. The park warden Ray was a real gent and was friendly and helpful at all times, even bringing out a bouncy castle for the kids to play on all day which was a real winner. A nice stroll to the local pub with beer garden, and the site has a nice games room and play area for the kids. Over all score 4/5 and would higly recomend this site.
