We have been to this campsite several times and we think it is great, we use a tent and can have as much space as you need.
The facilities and toilet block are basic but very clean and always have hot water, you pay for what you get and at £6. 50 per adult per night what more can you ask for.
You camp in a large field on a working farm surrounded by Yorkshire countryside, the views are amazing and if you enjoy walking you couldn't ask for anything better, the lady that owns the farm is really nice and friendly who patrols the campsite and is always at hand to make sure all is ok.
We both highly recommend this campsite to all we will keep going back.
Thank you very much for the loan of the tent pegs!

Fantastic campsite located a 15 minutes walk from Appletreewick although there is no shop in the village there are two lovely pubs.
The site itself is basic but delightful with brilliant views all around.
The toilets/ showers were clean and always stocked with toilet roll and hot water. This is one of the first I have been to that didn't have a long list of rules which was refreshing.
Will definitely be back.

Location : Idylic & Scenic 15 minute walk to village of Appletreewick.
Size of Field : large, therefor no cramped campers
Amenities : basic shower block however hot running water, flushing toilets with loo roll, 2 shower cubicles in ladies with hot & cold running water, elec plug sockets for hairdryers, phone chargers etc, Sink & drainer for washing dishes. (all at no extra charge)
Overall : a great site for those wanting to get back to nature, a working farm with views to die for, 15 minute walking distance to village via road or a superb 30 minute walk by the river to the two local pubs, both pet friendly, both serve lovely food, sell good ales, both have lovely beer gardens with great views. We are two couples with two tents & two dogs and found this campsite amenable & very peaceful.
It is worth every penny of the £6 pppn for the views alone. Dont expect luxury - it is a farmers field with the benefit of basic loos & showers however they are clean and usable & free.
Better still no upfront booking fees and no hidden costs, just pay when you arrive, no hassle, no fuss.
Will definitely use again. I have given this 10/10 based on the location & low cost, you get what you pay for at the end of the day don't go expecting luxury and you wont be disappointed.

We spent the early may bank holiday here and had a lovely weekend.
It is a basic campsite but that adds to the charm. The views are fantastic and the lady in charge was very friendly and wasn't scared to tell some other people to turn their music down.
The 2 other campsites in the area charge a small fortune and might have better facilities but I'd pay extra for the peace and tranquillity you get at Skyreholme!
The only downside was the lack of hot water in the toilets, my husband braved one cold shower but I couldn't bear it!
Its a lovely walk up the wharfe to appletreewick and the pubs, both are dog friendly and the food and beer at the Craven Arms is second to none!
We'll definitely be returning later in the year!

This is our favourite campsite, its basic but really is back to nature. Amazing views whilst sat outside by the BBQ in the evenings.
Dogs love it and we walk along the river to the New Inn- amazing food. The owners are lovely. Really idyllic weekend away.
Love the fact that is an actual working farm. Close to where we live too so perfect for a quick getaway with the dogs.
If you want proper camping and being outdoors all weekend this is the place

Been camping here for years, me & the kids love it.
Basic camping, no shop but plenty of hot water & loo roll. What more do you want or need?
The views are amazing, not many sites have a 360.
Has its own little stream for the kids to paddle, . That's about it as no park but I've yet to see a bored child, so make sure you take outdoor toys of some sort.
Animals can get a bit noisy but if it gets too much go let the nice lady farmer know, she'll soon have them off site. The cows & sheep don't bother me but you do get the odd party of drunken morons.
2 pubs within walking distance both do lovely meals & make sure you try the different ales!
Charges are £6 adult, £3 child.
No need for booking, the field is huge, pitch where you like.

Have just got back from what should have been a weekend stay. The site is beautifully located but very open to the elements, having been out all day on saturday we returned to find that it was so windy our tent pegs were being lifted out of the ground, regretfully we packed up and came home after just one night.
The site is very basic but toilets clean, the owner was very nice, and I liked the way she kept her eye on the site, and she didn't seem bothered abut turning a large group of boys away, it was quiet with mainly familys.
Would like to go back if we could have the pitches where the static caravans where.

Arrived at campsite sat afternoon 10th was met by farmers wife who was very friendly and helpful
Said we could set up anywhere in field which was virtually empty at the time went for a walk and when we came back site was full
The site is lovely with spectacular views and clean toilets/showers and lovely walks along the river
Will definitely go back
Only problem was a group of about 30 or so who were drinking all day and night until they were kicked off site. Some people have no respect for others !
Would still go back and are going to
Definitely worth a visit

Just returned from a two night stay, after deciding at short notice to have a weekend in the tent. When we arrived we were told by the owner to pitch anywhere in the field, it was quiet so there was plenty of place to pitch.
On the Friday night there were less than 10 tents and was therefore nice and quiet. However on the Saturday it did get busy and very noisy a young large group having arrived at lunchtime, they carried on until the early hours. The site doesn't have wardens and it doesn't appear that the owner keeps a check on the noise control.
The facilities are old and basic but clean. The ladies had six toilets and two showers with a constant flow of hot water. There is just one pot washing sink. I never saw any queues over the weekend for the facilities which was a bonus.
The site is approx a 15 minute walk to the nearest pub with another pub just around the corner. We only visited the New Inn and sat outside as we have a dog and the weather was good. Apparently the food is nice and reasonably priced. We didn't need a shop so cannot comment how close the nearest shop is but there is nothing on site.
We only paid £24 for two adults for two nights.
All in all for 'non fussy' campers like ourselves this is a handy site to know. Only 45 minutes from home and based in lovely countryside with lovely walks. There is nothing really to do for children and we probably wouldn't go with ours but we would definitely return when there is just the two of us.

Just got back from a 2 night stay here. Initially tried to get into another campsite in the area but it was full. On first impressions the field was slightly unkempt with long grass and some stones but not really a problem. We aren't fussy campers.
Views are brilliant with a stream at the bottom of the field. The toilets and showers aren't the best I've seen - the showers flood and no locks on the door but again not too much of a problem as the campsite wasn't too busy. Showers were powerful and hot which was great. There was toilet roll and the toilets and sinks were clean. The steep descent to the toilet block could be dangerous if wet.
Went into Burnsall for the day and saw the other campsite in Appletreewick was packed - school holidays so full of children. In the end we were both very pleased with where we stayed as we had space and privacy and again the views were fantastic.
It was a short walk (15 mins) to the pubs. We found the nearest shop to be in Burnsall so don't forget anything! We were able to listen to music quite late without disturbing anyone. It was £24 for 2 nights for 2 of us. May not have been worth it if it cost any more.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would return. If you like camping in luxury this campsite isn't for you but would recommend to other none fussy, easy going campers.
