This is a nice site and the showers and toilets are nice. Maybe excess pressure on the cold taps but the showers were hot and I never had to queue.
Nice shop on site and restaurant, though we didn't use the latter. Nice playground but glad we were not closer to it as it was well used from early morning. Outdoor pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Bar and entertainment was good on some nights. Nice flat pitch. They will freeze your cold blocks for you but charge for the service. Quite a walk into Bude. Access road full of potholes and many road humps. But overall nice site and would go again.

The site is a little awkward to get to and there are many deep potholes and the turning into the park is tricky.
The overall location is good, especially for those who are fit and healthy and like coastal walks.
The showers and toilets were basic and need to be checked and repaired on a regular basis along with the damp, due to the lack of ventilation causing mold on the ceilings. The tiling was unfinished and sharp.
The pool was closed periodically during the day and the entertainment was disappointing, giving way to the football during the season.
The kids competition prizes were poor, mostly a cheap plastic mask of the club character disappointed the children who won.
With a couple more staff who are dedicated to tidying things up and ironing out a few quibbles it could be a site to smile about.
I am visiting again next summer so it can't be too bad, I just hope it's improved so not to feel like going home or to the nearest public baths to get clean!
I have family and friends who come year after year and stay with the sun holidays in the static vans, but they do not go on the tourer site so only have the same views about the clubhouse and pool.

Just came back from a long weekend at this park and I am going to be totally honest about my experience. Firstly this was a sun holiday so we did get it quite cheap however we did pay £20.00 to upgrade to the riveria caravan.
On inspecting the caravan I was a little disappointed to find mould on the net curtains and gease all over the cooker, dirty windows. Also the caravan was so so cold we found ourselves putting the cooker and the fire on at night to heat the caravan up, both myself and my partner woke several things in night been cold despite having a duvet and three blankets over us. I would suggest you take a mini heater or extra blankets with you.
The entertainment was very good at night and the entertainment team worked very hard.

Spent a week here in a 'cheap but cheerful' caravan and apart from the beds being quite small in the twin room and not very comfy I cant really complain about the accommodation. The pool was lovely and clean and provided hours of fun and was watched over by a lifeguard. The shop was well stocked and had a good range of foods, magazines, drinks and things for the children. The evening entertainment was exactly what you would expect from a holiday camp and was good without being over the top.
All in all an enjoyable stay and would definitely return, maybe to try the camp site which looked great with lots of showers, toilet blocks and washing up sinks.

Stayed for 2 nights at end of July and stayed in one of the far fields. Site was clean and well organised. Loo & Shower facilities were clean and didn't have to queue. Plenty of bins and water points. Fairly tall hedges kept out the worst of the sea breezes.
Site is a good mile or so walk along the coastal path to get to Bude (perfect for walking off all those ice creams!) Pubs in the town were ok- preferred the one the far side of Bude 'castle'. Can't comment too much on Bude's attractions- aside from the obvious beach and water sports there wasn't a great deal to do other than wonder round the shops/ play crazy golf etc, so your stay can be slightly weather dependant.
All in all though a great place for a short trip- and only an hour or so to get the the rest of Cornwall's attractions.

Just spent 10 fantastic days at this site but not due to the facilities. This site is in a great location within walking distance of the beach and town, but the facilities themselves are very poor for the amount of money they charge. + Due to the amount of rain we had tents and awnings were flooded The toilets and showers were cleaned daily but need attention as were still dirty with sand and mud that everyone brings in at the end of the day and don't look up because yes that is mould up there. The entertainment in the evening is great if you have got a good sense of humour and are totally intoxicated with alcohol (bless the entertainment staff they tried). Swimming pool and kids park created hours of entertainment although basic.

Stayed for 4 nights and was very disappointed.
Admittedly we were on a cheap 'Sun' holiday but even so the caravan was filthy (mould on curtains and dirty floors) and was in need of some replacement / improvement work.
Laundry block had washing machines but holes where the tumble dryers used to be. Again needed significant improvement work/demolition.
Bude itself has everything you need. Beaches very close by ideal for surfers / body boarders.
Co-Op in town and Morrissons just outside of town ideal for essentials but Sainsburys being built very close by due for opening in the Autumn.
Wont be returning to this site have stayed at much better sites for the same price!

We were slightly disappointed in this site, a few niggles were the showers, not enough hooks and space between as said before and don't look up because the ceiling is black with mould. One night I decided to take the pots over to wash and the water was cold, I switched it on numerous times and it was still stone cold. The laundrette had no dryers and then half way through the week it shut all together due to vandalism. I went in the pool one day and it was cold but I expeced it to be so that was fine.
The club looks very clean and tidy inside but we only got in the once so I cant comment on the entertainment.
The play area, shop were both ok
I don't expect lots but I am picking out all the bad points as this was an expensive site and compared to others it should have been better.
Also I'm sure they had their reasons but they pitched 2 rows of caravans and tents right up close and there were lots of space in the area but I could hear the neighbour snoring one night, seemed a bit odd since the rest of the site was empty.
You can walk to the beaches and town quite easily however we did have a bad experience on the beach involving an injection needle and our daughters foot, you can get this anywhere but just be on guard especially around the sand dunes. One beach has a sea swimming pool but we never went in that.
Places we visited were Eden Project, Boscastle and Sandy mouth Bay to name a few
Main Supermarket is Morrisons but they are due to open Sainsburys at the top of town June 09

If I every go to bude again it will be on another site, as this one floods. My pitch had 10 cms of water all over. The park was flooded for about 3 days so the kids could not play. The showers were clean but not ideal no curtain and not enough distance between tray so clothes get wet. I visited the club once and the highlight of the night was bingo starting at 9pm. The cabaret was like watching children's entertainers.
I didn't go in the pool as the kids said it was freezing. Security seem very keen on vehicles coming onsite in the evening. The shop and cafe were okay.
I know the weather was not very good but this site needs a drainage system in place that works.

We love this site, I have selected July, but in fact we have been here a few other times as well, a few weekends in May! Excellent site, staff are really helpful, swimming pool is great, shop is more expensive than town shops, but no more expensive than any other camp site shop. Bar & entertainment great, shame Jacz has left the team.Play park safe for kids of all ages. Showers and toilets cleaned regularly, only down thing I can say is that your clothes can get splashed whilst your in the showers and the floors get very wet, but we took carriers to put our clothes in to keep them from getting splashed. Hope to return to this great site very soon!
