We stayed at this site for 3 nights and overall had a pleasant time. There are good and not so good points about the site. We were able to choose a pitch and selected one right in front of one of the stands. This is on tarmac and I guess it, s a car park when its, s a race day. The views across the course and into the distance are wonderful. If you pitch behind the stand you may not get the benefit of the views.
We did, t use the toilet block but did look inside and it is a bit dated and a typical racecourse toilet/shower block and a bit basic. The wardens do their best to make the most of it though. The wardens couldn, t be more helpful. If you like walking you can walk for miles around the racecourse perimeter.
We went to the site from the west country and the caravan club directions take you off the M5 at junction 11. This route is a bit tight and difficult in places and a lot of care was needed. When we left we took an alternative route which was to go north a bit and join the M5 at junction 9. This was much easier and straightforward and we would use this route in future even though its a bit further for us.
The site is right next to the park and ride so trips into Cheltenham were easy.
The site does slope nearly everywhere, some areas are better than others but in a motorhome you will almost certainly need levelling ramps.
We will certainly visit again

Excellent site with brilliant views over the racecourse.
Right next door to a park and ride which gives regular 10 buses into Cheltenham for £2. 30 free for bus pass.
Toilets and showers could do with a spruce up as they are a bit dated but they were ok no hair dyer but 3 pin plugs available so used my own.
Code to enter the toilets which is fair enough.
Not too many hard standing on the grass section but absolutely loads on the tarmac, so not good if you need an awning which we and many others didn't being a motor-home.
Nearly all had good views except the ones behind the stands, you don't need to ask for one as you go and pick your own which is a much better idea, I hate being told where to go and would rather choose my own and let them know where you are.
Very quite site and you can hear the silence in the night lovely!
Excellent wardens very friendly.

Stayed on this site on our way back from France.
Only stayed for 1 night so didn't really get chance to see much of the surrounding area.
Was greeted by 2 very friendly wardens who gave us a choice of pitches. I choose a level pitch. When we got to our pitch it felt like we were on the course car park! Maybe it is a car park on race days?
We were behind the stand so the views that other people have said are good, we missed out on!
The toilet and shower facilities are a little dated but served a purpose, but the pot washing is not in the same block as the showers/toilets, they are a walk across the site under the 'Desert orchid stand'.
The site lights stay on all night so you will need good blackout blinds.
Was ok just for overnight stop, wouldn't want to stay for more than 1 night, although it might appeal to other people.

Second time we have stayed here and pitched on the grass this time. All pitches are sloping and spacious, midweek anyway. At the weekend the warden created extra pitches, putting two into three, pity really.
We were situated at the furthest end away from the shower and chemical disposal it was a bit of a hike there and back but did not detract from our enjoyment of this picturesque site. The site was immaculate and facilities spotless, thanks to the attention of the wardens.
Hired a car from Enterprise through the club site and the saving and service was amazing, picked up from the site to get the car and dropped off when I returned it,enjoyed visiting Stow, Moreton and the other cotswold villages but found Gloucester and Tewksbury a bit iffy! Park and ride two minute walk and town five minute bus ride away.
The stay was good but wont visit again for a while. It is worth noting this site does not accept club gift vouchers.

There was only one pitch available, a double sloping, scruffy small patch of weedy grass. Just relieved that we were only here for one night. There was a weekend pop concert at the racecourse so it was very noisy. Not for us I'm afraid.
But the facilities were clean and the wardens very friendly. We were only passing though, but if you want the site for a specific reason, then arrive early to get a better pitch than the one we had.

This is the second time we have visited this site, and it's another typical racecourse site with basic facilities which were kept very clean as was the rest of the site. The views are spectacular and it was quiet and relaxing. The wardens were very helpful and friendly, as you would expect on a club site. The park and ride is just outside the site across the car park. Its only a 5 minute bus ride into Cheltenham, were you can get a bus into Tewkesbury or Gloucester. There is so much to do at Gloucester Docks, we spent a full day there. This is a convenient site for a few days stoppover.
TV reception on this site was fair.
We will definitely be staying here again.

We've used this site a number of times now.We find it ideal as a stop-over or for a weekend away.
If you are pitched at the front of the stands, you get lovely views of the racecourse and the Prestbury Hills(.The view's not quite so appealing if you're pitched right behind the stands though!).
The toilet/shower block is a little dated but was very clean and neat, which is what counts in my mind!
The pitches can be surprisingly 'slopey' in places though.
On a previous visit we were pitched behind the stand and by the time we'd levelled the 'van,
We came very close to bottoming out the rear!
The site's right next to the Park&Ride. But it's only a 20-30min walk into the town, down quite a pleasant,tree-lined(if a little busy)road, passing the Pittsville Pump house on route.
For anyone approaching from the north(M5),I would advise them to leave at J9 and come via Bishop's Cleeve and keep well clear of driving through Cheltenham!

Have been at this site twice now just for two nights and is so clean and peaceful. Great views over the race course and beyond, would go back again and stay for a week even with our two kids which are 2&4 Loads to do in the area, just 10mins down the road is a great park with boats, animals and play park as there is not one on site.

This was our 1st stay at a racecourse site and I must say we were quite impressed! We found the atmosphere quite surreal and completely different from any other site we have stayed on. The pitches are well marked but levelling blocks are a must as the ground does slope, quite dramatically in places. There are plenty of different area’s to choose from, we finally opted for one just meters away from the finishing line which is also the resting place for the Cheltenham Gold Cub winner “Best Mate”. The facilities on site are to a good standard and very clean. The wardens, as expected, were first class. Turn right out of the site gate and it takes you to the park and ride, and a bus arrives here every ten minutes and takes you into town. The GWR steam railway is also close by, as is the local Sunday car boot! All in all we had a great stay and I do want to return, particularly on a race day to sample a different atmosphere of Cheltenham Racecourse CC Site.

We stayed hear on route to normandy for 3 nights.
The racecourse is situated about 1 mile from cheltenham town centre which incidently is a nightmare to navigate round if you dont know it
The site itself is easy to find and the wardens were exceptionally helpful , the wash block although old was alway's clean and tidy and there is also a shop in the site office which sells your basic necessitys and also a good selection of home baking,
If you walk to the end of the racecourse you can catch a steam train at the restored cheltenham racecourse station run by the Gloucestershire&warwickshire steam railway if steam is your thing
All in all a lovely site which is reasonably priced since the site is on the racecourse instead of a greenfield site
The site also benefits from lovely views towards the cotswolds and I would definitely return again
