Visited over Bank Holiday weekend.Choice of approx 4/5 pitches .Only had to use one set of ramps to get level.
Toilet block is very basic, water points and motorvan waste all on a slope, not ideal.
TV reception varied.
Park and ride bus handy.Only 1/2 hourly on Sunday and on main road.
Peak season prices a bit high for what is a basic site.

This site is very peaceful and also close to the park and ride into Cheltenham The views from the site over the racecourse are spectacular and are changing every minute with the weather. the site managers are very helpful and they run a small shop on site, and also do cream teas at the weekend which we enjoyed very much . Another site that we will be visiting again

We were very surprised how good this site is. For those wishing not to drive once on site, the park-and-ride facility is next to the campsite ideal for those unable to walk far. Cheltenham is a nice Spa town with all the attractions you would expect such as a market, pedestrian areas, pubs cafes etc. The site itself is different to a normal CC site, but more interesting for that, ie the racecourse itself creates a backdrop unlike any other type of site. The shower/toilet facilities are clean and usuable as you would expect, but not as fancy as some sites. Pitches are mainly a large tarmac area in front of and behind the stands. Some grass pitches overlooking the course are available too. Race fans will know it is the capital of national hunt racing, and it is possible to camp on site during meetings and watch races free of charge, you don't need to move your van during meetings like some racecourse sites. I'd recommend it to anyone.

First class quiet site with good easy access (levellers may be needed), with park +ride to town centre 150 metres from site. Shower/toilet block a little dated but very clean. Dog walk off-site beside the racecourse fence. Entry to bars etc.,on racedays only. Wardens office opens approx. 9 a.m. Will definitely re-visit. Booking essential.
