 Nunnykirk is a quiet and peaceful site, well maintained and with friendly wardens. It was wet for part of the holiday and became quite boggy. There are no pitches for tents, and no toilet block. The nearest shops are approximately 6 miles away, there is a pub fairly close by. It is probably not suitable for people wanting the bright lights, as they would have to travel a long way to find them!
Although it was the start of the main school holidays, didn’t see many children or facilities for them on the site. When we were there, the site seemed popular with couples who had several dogs with them.
Two lovely National Trust properties nearby. Northumberland is well worth visiting, lots of interesting things to do and see, the coastal area is stunning.
