A nice site with good dog walks. We were disappointed with the toilets as these did not appear to be cleaned on a regular basis and would have liked to have seen a clean mop for the showers so put me off a little of taking a shower. Only 1 plug for the three sinks too. Although, I did not see the owners after a few days so I think the site was being looked after by family. People did not keep dogs on a lead on the actual site and dogs were often coming into our awning. If these 2 issues were addressed, then it would have got a glowing report as the owners/site are very nice and despite my comments, I would return but no longer than a weekend next time.

Stopped on the cl part of the site and were very impressed. Good size pitch with water on tap. Would have been a bonus to have had grey water drainage, but this is not a complaint. Pitch was level and hard standing. Showers and toilet block although a short walk away were modern and clean. If you have a dog with you then I am sure you will be extremely impressed with the dog walk that circles the whole site and is mowed. Yes mowed!
Excellent location with the small village of Hambleton not far away with good convenience stores. If you like fishing then there is an excellent carp pond, that was very busy. The owners are friendly and helpful and I have no doubt we will stop again.

We visited this site recently and wow what a lovely place. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and dog walking area. The pitches were big and the owners were very pleasant too. The showers and toilets were clean. One small thing was Not always loo roll so make sure you take some with you. There's a lovely pub a five minute walk away The Shovells. Serves lovely food and everyone is very friendly. There are also shops close by. Forgot to mention there are two lakes on site a bit reedy but my other half loved it especially when he caught a perch. All in all would recommend this site and will definitely be going back

We chose this site due to its location, certified location, fishing and being dog friendly. We were not disappointed on arrival, lovely and peaceful, lovely surroundings, two fishing ponds, lovely dog walking straight from our pitch. Owners very friendly and helpful. Pitch great, each pitch has its own water and electric hook up no need to share. Toilet/Shower block easy to get to, 3 in total, clean and tidy. Local pubs walking distance for meals, local shops closeby. Ideal site location for blackpool, fleetwood, cleveleys on or about 10 minutes drive away. This was our very first caravan trip no problems at all, everyone was very friendly and at £14 per night we will definitely be back!

We visited this site for the 1st time at the recent 'Bank Holiday' and were pleased to find it just perfect for us. The site has 2 areas, one is a 5 pitch CL and the other a 10 pitch all with electric hookup and water, the pitches are all of good size, level and hard standing. We had a smaller one (last minute booking) described as 1 A, it was OK for the weekend but a bit small for any longer. There are plenty of grassy spaces for young children to play but no other facilities for them. There are 2 ponds (not fenced) the larger one with fishing which is free, in fact once you have paid the pitch fee there are no extra charges. The site is about 150 yards from the road and no discernible traffic noise in fact only bird song is heard and we found this so peaceful. Forward thinking is needed as far as the toilet block is concerned as it was quite a distance away. This consisted of 3 cubicles with lavatory, wash basin and shower and automatic lighting and heating. All very clean as is the whole sight with manicured grassy areas. Just one unfortunate problem, on the last day all 3 cubicles were without toilet paper all morning. The village of Hambleton doesn't have much in it but you can get the essentials and there are lots of attractions within easy drive. E. G. Freeport in Fleetwood and the 'best restaurant' in the area The Trafalgar in Fleetwood.
Would we go again, absolutely, we hope to return later in the summer

Lovely, lovely site! Lovely large pitches, and only 10 of them, so plenty of space. Free fishing on site and couldn't believe that it was only £14 per night for 2 adults, 3 children and awning. So unlike most sites that charge you extra for everyone and everything!
3 really nice showers-similar to your bathroom at home with large walk in shower and a fan heater in each to keep you warm. There was even a washing machine which appeared to be free to use-even saw washing powder and comfort in the cupboard above!
Loved this site so much and can see us returning here whenever we can. Really friendly owners who, whilst take time to chat too you, are not intrusive.
If you want a quiet, relaxing break, this is the perfect place ( and yet not far from Blackpool, Cleveleys, Fleetwood etc)

What a great site, quiet and not too far from local amenities. Owners are very helpful especially fishing tips for the main lake. The fishing is free and plenty of good sport. My wife and Son fished as well and we had in excess of 100 fish mainly Rudd but up to 1 1/2 pound. Some quality carp, I lost one of about 18llb and had a stinking perch at 2 1/2 plunge with reports of one coming out at 4 1/2 pound. All in all a great site, pitches excellent with hard standings and a grassed area for the awning. And dogs can go for free as well.

Would recommend this site. To anyone quite and peaceful, brand new toilet and shower block, which was. Spotless, very good fishing caught a 16 pound plus, mirror carp, but will get a bit weedy in summer months, Peter And Michele the owners are very friendly, so you caravans, get yourself booked on this little gem of a site

We were pleased to find another great site in this area which has loads of attractions nearby. It has a CL and additional touring pitches well laid out with hardstands, water taps and EHU's. The owners are welcoming and spend time to talk to visitors. There are well mown walks round the fishing ponds which is great for dog owners. The 3 toilet cubicles have sink and shower - plus a fan heater with auto switch on with the light - cosy! Newspaper shop and friendly pub (but no dogs inside) within easy stroll to village. Nice walk to a sailing club on the Wyre. We will use this site again.

Fantastic value for money £14 per night inclusive of electric hookup, showers in heated block and no additional fee for awnings. Also fishing on site at no extra cost which was a great attraction to several of the other campers. The pitches are arranged in two areas - a 5 van CL site and the main 10 van area - the latter having a very spacious feeling with hard standing and grass and water and electric at each pitch. Lovely small trees surround the site and provide a very pleasant short walk through to the fishing ponds. There is not a play area for children but the one or two children around managed to entertain themselves as there is plenty of open space for them. The site was mainly occupied by mature couples.
The facilities - 3 showers rooms each with toilet and hand basin and heater and cleaning materials.
Washing up sink
Washing machine and drier.
The area - Easy walk to village for supplies and a nice pub. We cycled on different days from the site to Cleveleys and to Fleetwood then across on the ferry to Knott End ( fab ice creams next to cafe at ferry terminal ) and to Blackpool. Just nice gentle cycling mainly flat and not too far to any of these locations.
Very helpful and friendly owner of this gem of a site. We will definitely be returning.
