It is not often that I feel it necessary to leave a negative review, but here goes.
First the positives.
You camp in the country park itself and in recent years they have opened it up to the general public, added electric hook ups and provided amenity blocks, these are of a portakabin type but are kept clean nonetheless. The site wardens are very friendly.
Negatives.
They like to pack them in. Our caravan was just 2. 5m from the adjacent awning and just 1. 5 from the caravan behind us. They also have many seasonal pitches there and these are in a somewhat unkempt state (long grass around units and miles of battered windbreaks).
The admin team that deals with bookings are bordering on incompetent. From making the booking to checking out on departure I was confronted by mistake after mistake - one resulting us being locked out of the park late one evening.
Such a shame that this facility has gone down hill.

Had a fantastic time it was the first time we had pitched our tent, and had our dog with us and were finding the pitching a bit awkward as our dog doesn't like being tied, so from nowhere arrived the owner and his daughter to help out they work there and are so helpful we were staying for two nights unfortunately the second night was spoiled by two groups who arrived with their dogs running wild and the music blaring so loud we couldn't watch a film we had downloaded, so decided after a bad nights sleep to head home in the morning, but all in all can't fault the site the management are really great helpful, and there is so much to do we enjoyed it apart from the noise situation which can't be put down to management, its a pity some dog owners can't seem to grasp that keeping dogs on leads is the responsibility us all but you always get the odd ones all in all 10/10

Our first visit to Pembrey after several failed attempts to book in the past, very well laid out site with plenty of service points, shower and Toilets are spotless.
On site shop with papers, mobile shop visits every day.
The site is very busy and fully booked during our five night stay, some grass pitches come very close to the hard standing pitches once caravan awnings have been erected. Beware of guy ropes and pegs.
15 minute walk to the beach, with the dog walking area over to the right hand side, small beach cafe and toilets. Tons of car parking areas.
The beach runs for miles with beautiful sand dunes and places to sun bath, it can get very breezy and the sand is very fine, so be careful of your kids and pets.
Lots to do in the park what ever your lifestyle or sporting activities, take plenty of fresh water with you if your heading for the beach, the grass was brown in June and 26 degrees in the shade.
We hope to visit again in the future and stay longer and see more of the park. Well worth a visit.

We spent two nights here at the beginning of August. This is the first year the site has taken individual bookings. The owner and partner who run the site couldn't have been more friendly or welcoming both when we booked and during our stay. The field is lovely and flat no problem pitching and surrounded by woodland. It's a big field which had plenty of space on the Thursday. We played ball games and flew kites.
There's a cafe next to the site serving delicious ice cream and other bits and pieces. The site is within the fabulous Pembrey country park with plenty of things to do including pony trekking, beach, small steam railway, toboggan ride, play park and plenty of woodland and trails for walking and biking.
The site got very busy on the Friday night and did feel pretty cramped with lines of tents within the field rather than just the pitches around the edge of the field. So no more space for football in front of the tent although of course there was plenty of space to be had elsewhere in the park.
Security seemed good with cars being checked in and out of the site.
The cost of £13 per night for the pitch was exceptional value for money. We'll return but try and avoid busy weekends.

Just returned after a brilliant few days at Pembrey. I agree with other reviews, there is loads to do in the Park itself and we found that the staff on all the activities (skiing, crazy golf etc) wanted to help and were very friendly.
The campsite staff were also brilliant - friendly, helpful and with useful advice on the local area. The campsite itself is big and flat. It also drains well (we had two nights of heavy rain). Ablutions are clean, although there are only two showers and they are of a semi-permanent kind - I'm not sure how that will be if the campsite gets busy? (Hence 9 out of 10 rating). There is a cafe and a shop, again run by very helpful and friendly staff.
We had a brilliant time and I will definitely go back.

Spent a fantastic time at this campsite.
It is only this year that individual bookings are being taken, before it was for groups.
Beautiful walks around the woodland walks and a stunning flat beach. Also there is part of the beach that is for dogs.
Staff very friendly welcoming and come around now and then making sure all is ok. Also had icecream van coming around. Mmmm. Dry ski slope, Toboggan run, Horse trekking are a few of the things to do on site.

It just keeps getting better. Been motor homing here for 7 years, facilities vastly improved this year with new shower and toilet block along with the existing toilets by the cafe, Staff on the park are extremely polite and helpful. The park is ideal for all ages and abilities, being quite flat it is good for those with limited mobility like myself. Lots of dog walking/cycle tracks, wonderful clean beaches with toilets nearby. Milk and Bakery is delivered around the campsite daily, just stop them and they will oblige you. Also there are shops are close to in Bury Port and Llanelli. We will be back later in August as 2 weeks was not enough. Big Thanks to all on site.

What a fantastic park
They have just opened the park to individual bookings whereas before it was only groups of 6 or more
Pitch fees are £13. 00 per night and they have small showers, spotless toilets, toilet disposal unit and fresh water, there are no electric hookups but it is a great park, there is a dry ski slope with ski shop and cafe, a small golf course, a riding centre, lots of places to eat including The Slope Cafe, The Sidan Lounge (this is next door to the campsite) and has 24 flavours of ice cream, a full bar and a great menu, there is The Beachcomber beach kiosk at the entrance to the 7 mile beach, ice creams near the miniature train station

Booking in to the country park has now changed and single units can access the site as long as they book before hand. New temporary showers are available near the cafe and further work will be carried out - so I was informed. The cafe allows dogs which is a plus when you take pets with you and the food is very good.
The country park is a fantastic venue and the toilets down the beach have been refurbished. Plenty of play opportunities for children, a dry ski slope is within the park and also a toboggan ride. Horse riding is also available within the park.
Long walks around the forestry, miniature train rides at certain times, pitch and putt golf course - so much to do.
No electric but water available as well as chemical toilet disposal point.

We spent a long weekend here as part of a group event. There is no electric hookup available but there are fresh water taps in a number of locations, and toilets next to the cafe / restaurant.
The country park is obviously well looked after. Our dogs enjoyed lovely walks in the woods and down to the beach. There is also a cafe / restaurant on site so there was no need to leave the country park all weekend. The milkman even drove round the park in the mornings which was very useful.
Unfortunately the gents toilets were vandalised whilst we were there.
Nevertheless it is a superb venue for group events and we are already booked for next year.
