This is a great site, very friendly and in a lovely area of the country. Good showers and toilets always clean and tidy.
Has a limited amount of walks but enough room for energetic children to run around.
The town of Wellington is approx 5 min drive away and offers everything you could need. In addition the people are very friendly in the local communities and the pubs are good also offering a wide variety of choice.
With the M5 only a short distance away the whole of the area is an easy day trip away. An excellent place to use as a base.
We started staying there in October 2009 and have so far stayed there six times and always had the same great welcome.

We had lovely time on this site, which was very friendly, clean and extremely quiet. The facilities were very good, and the lady that looks after the site obviously takes pride in it, even down to putting fresh flowers in the shower block. All of the pitches looked good, nice and flat, with electric hook up and plenty of space.
We're pretty new to camping (this is only the 4th site we've visited), but this is definitely the best we've been to so far.
There doesn't seem to be a lot nearby (apparently there's a pub very close by, but we didn't manage to find it), but Wellington is only about 10 minutes drive and is a friendly little town with good facilities.

Brilliant Site, very welcoming and friendly owners. Facilities were spotless and well equipped. Fishing has recently been modified and is now a lot bigger than it has been in the past. Very reasonable prices. Nicely secluded area, very peaceful but not too far away from shops and pubs. Very easy access off the A38. We used it as a stopping place on the way to Cornwall as it's ideal for getting off at junction 26 and getting back on at junction 27.

Small site, slightly off the beaten track with superb countryside views. Very well laid out with excellent shower and toilet facilities, plus separate area for washing up. Launderette and games room available. Quiet site with very friendly owners, nothing was too much trouble. Great exercise area for dogs, and very handy fro the Blackdown Dog agility Show. Added bonus for us was the fact that there were no children on the site whilst we were there

We have used this site on a few occasions. The site is family run and has such is a delight to visit. Very informal booking they do like you to book, and on arrival they have a direct phone to the house to tell them you have arrived. Pick a site ,spread out no problem. Nice chat with warden, pay, carry on. The site is spotlessly clean, as about 30 pitches, toilets have code entry hot water, and free showers. Prices very good, they dont charge for electric at certain times of the year. If you like cycling a short ride about 1 mile gets you on the Tiverton canal, you can cycle off road for 12miles to Tiverton, passing a few nice canal side villages and pubs on the way. There is no shop of any kind on site the nearest shopping is Wellington, about 5miles away. A couple of pubs about 1.5 miles (drive). The site is a working farm mostly chickens, it also boasts carp fishing, the pool is very small and neglected, but if you can get a peg you will catch fish.
