Thank you Stefan! We love camping la vallee. If you are after a peaceful relaxing holiday it is perfect. The site is beautiful and kept spotless. Owner and his family are very welcoming and go above and beyond their duties (helping find us a lift to our ferry, find food, discover the local area. The pitches are very level, and separated by hedgerows. Toilet block is clean and hot water is available all day for free.
We didn't drive, which was fine for us but if you don't like walking you will need a car as it is a long walk to the nearest town. However this walk is along either the beach or the cliff top and is one of the most beautiful places I have been. The beaches are amazing. Never too busy, beautiful sand and calm seas.
Erquy is a lovely town with plenty of well priced restaurants and shops.
Another perk of the local area is the sea food: you can walk along the beach and pick up plenty of fresh shell fish to cook yourself!
Also used the spa at the site. Well worth it after a long days walking.
Although I don't have children there were plenty around with lots to do: a playground, sand pit, games room, table tennis, bikes and trikes. The owners children are very friendly and made other children on the site feel welcome.
All in all despite rain in the mornings loved this campsite and holiday. Will definitely be returning again!

I checked into here, as I wasn't looking for one of the 'megacamps' but preferred something a bit more quiet, but also that had wifi. I've started a round the world tour on a motorbike and I was not in the least disappointed.
The greeting was warm and happy with Stephane and his family showing me around the facilities. Roomy pitches on level ground with enough privacy to make it your own. A wonderfully tranquil site in a small valley, with birds singing in the trees. Although there were no children other than the owners when I was there, there is a good play area available.
The toilet/shower blocks (there are 2 separate blocks) was excellent - modern and spotless, with plenty of free hotwater all day. Also a baby changing room and separate disabled loos. Again the washin rooms looked clean and modern facilities. There are 'posh' tents to hire and also statics, which looked great and new. I should have made use of the sauna and hot tub!
You only get Wifi down by the site office, but that wasn't really a problem, as you can sit outside and browse away.
In the area is a wonderful empty beach that is one of many that go on for miles! Erquy is a lovely clean town that is 3km away and has all that you need for provisions. Great walks from the site to the beach (5 mins) and overall the place is a real find. Many Thanks!

We arrived at La Vallee in torrential rain (by recumbent trikes) Stephan greeted us cheerfully and made us welcome. The pitches were of a reasonable size and were well drained. The showers and loo's were kept spotless by Stephan and also the building which contained chairs and a tv,a washing machine and dryer were available (fortunately) the site is nice and peaceful only the owls causing any noise, set not to far from a stunning beach, a barbeque is available and in all the whole place was well cared for and hospitable. We will return

This was our second visit to this great campsite and we weren't disappointed. Stephane welcomed us warmly and we were allocated a great pitch, which had plenty of room for our tent, car, bikes, bodyboards and two boys.
As last year, the facilities were great - clean toilets, warm showers and clean washing areas, never had to queue, useful washing machine and dryer, great play area for younger and older children. We really recommend this campsite for campers who prefer a smaller campsite, which is friendly and peaceful. It's so nice to have a beach within walking distance - my husband and both of our boys went bodyboarding in the evenings, whilst I watched and ate icecream!
As last year, we visited the local beaches and the town of Erquy - all the beaches are clean and safe, with great rockpools, and Erquy is a lovely little town to explore.
As I enjoy horse-riding, I went on a fantastic beach ride from Quatre Vaux beach, through the mussel farms to St Jacut and out to the small islands - Les Ebihens, whilst the tide was out. If interested, google Ecurie du Gallais (St Cast Le Guildo) - about a 30 min drive, but well worth it. The horses were fit, well mannered and very responsive. Although that ride was for reasonably experienced riders who can canter and gallop, they also offer shorter, easier rides. Well worth it!
We never feel as if we stay long enough and it is always with a heavy heart that I board the ferry back to the UK - so we intend to return next year - but probably in one of Stephane's new safari style tents - with real beds and a proper size fridge! Luxury!

We stayed at La Vallee for 4 lovely nights this summer, I booked the site after reading the reviews on here and visiting the website, we were not disappointed.
Stephane the owner was very attentive to our needs and due to the site only having 47 pitches it added a personal touch, he was always available and each night would take orders for the boulangerie for pain au chocolates and croissants and bread. The reception has a few select items (milk, wine, biscuits, ice creams)and you can buy WI-FI time for 3 euros for 30 minutes which I found very useful. We utilised the spa and sauna one night and were really impressed with the facility, well worth the 6 euros for an hour.
The site has a real family feeling to it and is just the right size to let your kids wander free (our 10 year old loved the site), also there were lots of Dutch booked in here which is also a good sign.
Erquy is a pleasant fishing village 10 minutes drive away or an hours walk along the coastal path, it is renowned for its scallops although due to restrictions you cant buy any from May to October. However there is plenty more to do there with weekly markets and nice restaurants.
We also visited La Latte fort which is about 30 minutes north, this medieval fort is well worth the visit for the stunning views and history.
This site is one of the nicest we have been to in Brittany, very quiet, pleasant and family friendly we will definitely return when next in the area.

What a lovely few days we had in La Vallee! After a 6 hour drive from Calais, we were welcomed so warmly by Stephane, who was a wonderful host. His English was impeccible. It was very quiet on the campsite, with one other British couple. We pitched on the terrace. The pitch was spacious and flat.
The washing facilities were spotless! Push button showers (which could have been a little warmer) and three outdoor sinks for washing up. There was also a room with washing machines, although I did not use these or see how much they were.
There was a games room, and Stephane let us know that we could watch the England v USA game if we wished! Spa facilities were available, although we didn't use these (but wished we had!).
St Pabu beach was stunning, with a vast stretch of gorgeous sand with some interesting rocky areas where the kids were investigating the rock pools. Unfortunately no toilets here.
We didn't venture into Erquy so can't comment on that, but did drive to the Mont St Michel which took about 2 hours.
We had a wonderful few days here, and this site was our firm favourite of the 5 we visited during our holiday. We would return without question.

We visited this site in our Small Camper Van. It was our first site abroad and we were delighted with the ' Value for Money ' that it offered. The site was very clean and tidy, the toilet blocks were spotless and the owners were extremely helpful, courteous, and spoke very good English.
The site was not busy ( Mid June ) unlike the sites in England. A beautiful beach was just a few minutes away by Cycle or on foot. We could order Baquettes and croissants to be available the following morning.
I have to admit that I found the site difficult to locate but I think that was more to my inexperience of French Roads and signs-- I will have to invest in a Sat Nav !
We only stayed for 2 Nights because we were touring but I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a good, pleasant, and comfortable place to start their holiday. We travelled over on the ferry to Saint Marloe.

We have just returned from a 3 week(!) stay on this campsite and we loved every minute of it!
The campsite is small and situated in a beautiful, peaceful location - only a short walk to the nearest beach (although due to lack of toilets facilities we tended to make more use of other beaches within a short driving distance). Our two young girls loved the play area and watching the neighbouring cows. There's a baby bath available in the shower blocks, which were immaculate, we never had to queue and the water was always warm. I made use of the sauna/spa which was a treat that I can highly recommend - there is also a weekly massage service which I intend to make use of on our next visit.
Our pitch was on the edge of the campsite and was on level ground. We had asked for a larger pitch at the time of booking and we were not dissappointed. Our only drawback was a lack of shade as the planting around our pitch was quite immature.
The couple that run the site are helpful, friendly and very hardworking. We were very impressed that they welcomed us by name and remembered our names throughout our stay.
We found plenty to do in the area and can recommend trying out the free entertainment activities available in the high season - we spent 3 Friday teatimes on the prom. In Erquy being entertained by clowns!
We hope to return to Erquy and will definitely stay at this site when we do.

There aren't many campsites that we return to, but we will definitely be returning to this one!
We arrived in the pouring rain, but Stephane welcomed us warmly, and under the shelter of his umbrella offered us a choice of pitches. So we set up in the rain and hoped it was worth it.
It was! The toilets, shower cubicles and washing facilities were spotless and we never had to queue. The washing machine and tumble dryer were very useful after a wet start.
Our boys, age 11 & 8, enjoyed the table football in the games room, the basket ball hoop and the outdoor table tennis (lots of bats and balls to borrow from Reception). I noticed that the younger children had a great time in the large sandy play area with swings, slides, tractors, etc.
The site is a pretty one, with generous pitches separated by well established hedges and there are lots of flowers. Although it is close to a fantastic beach, this is a wooded valley area which felt calm and welcoming. Nearly every pitch was full, but the site didn't feel too hectic - all the families were friendly, with a mixture of nationalities - French, Dutch, German and English.
You can pre-order your baguettes, croissants and pains aux chocolat the night before, and Stephane has a few basic food items for sale and a well stocked ice cream freezer!
In the evenings, we would stroll to St Pabu beach and watch people flying kites and bodyboarding. There are great rockpools and at low tide, the sandy beach stretches for miles along the coast. My son and husband spent a wonderful warm evening bodyboarding whilst the sun set and the moon rose.
Locally, Erquy is a characterful little beach/fishing town - you can buy fresh fish from the port and fantastic icecream from any of the icecream shops. There is a busy market on Saturday mornings. I think you can hire kayaks and there is a centre for scuba diving. (Next year?!) Val Andre is another local resort, which is busier, where we found an icecream shop selling among other things, Smurf-flavoured icecream! (Next year?!) There is no end to wonderful beaches along this stretch of the coast, so there's lots more exploring to do. Next year!

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a tour of northern France.
Lovely site nice and secluded but only a 10 min walk to a lovely beach.
The owners work hard to ensure you enjoy your stay and this is very evident in the overall maintenance of the site.
Being in a motorhome we tend to walk everywhere once we are parked up. There is a lovely hilltop walk into Erquy but I can recommend not doing it in the rain! Erquy is a lovely little town if a bit disjointed, whiled away a lovely afternoon there and even managed to get a taxi back to the site (schoolboy French) there is a sign just in front of the town hall with a number on it, the guy even rang me back on my English mobile!
Near the campsite there is a lovely creperie just up thye hill 15mins walk if a little expensive there is also a large campsite down by the beach which does have a shop if you need anything, but stephane is always willing to give advice.
Would go back there without a moments hesitation I didn't see my 6yr old daughter from dawn till dusk and it was a wonderful adventure for her
