Stayed here for 1 night in April 2014. The site was wonderful and peaceful. It is situated on a working farm (so expect early morning wakeup calls from animals and farm vehicles!)
The site was immaculate, grass cut recently and the hardstanding pitches (10-12 of them) were all fairly level. Plenty of room between pitches and the added bonus of a couple of picnic benches and seating dotted about the place.
The toilet block was also very clean, 2 shower/toilet rooms and one separate WC. Rubbish/recycling area very tidy and an Elsen point for chemical toilet emptying.
EHU, 10A though we didn't have any issues with load. Water points all around the pitches. £15per night good value for the facilities on offer.
Very little traffic except for neighbouring campers and so great for children to run around though no children facilities, it could have done with a swing or something in the corner - there's plenty of room for one!
Dog friendly (on leads!) and a short walk to the village pub and shop. Bumped into the owners whilst they were cleaning the toilets and they seemed very friendly. Booking was very easy by email with prompt reply and straight forward instructions for arriving.
Highly recommended and will be placing it on our list of recommended CL's and Campsites for our customers.

Never stayed at a CL before and if this is the standard we will definitely be doing it again.
Despite being right in the middle of lambing season, we received a warm welcome on arrival at the site.
The site was quiet so picked our own pitch and set-up. The electricity is a lower rating than some sites so be careful not to trip it through too much load - a normal domestic kettle is not recommended.
There are numerous stand pipes for filling up your aquaroll so you never have to drag it too far back to your van. The toilet block is warm and kept very clean. The grass between the pitches is beautifully kept.
There are lots of footpaths in the area so plenty of walking available. The Burlington pub is a 5 minute walk away as is a local shop.
The Ravenglass railway is easily accessible up the coast as is Coniston, windermere and Hawkshead.
My only minor criticism of the site would be that there are no hand driers in the toilet block and a sink for washing up would be a useful addition.
Having seen some of the roads in the area, do not follow your sat nav to get to the site, use the instructions in the club book.
Would definitely stop here again - outstanding value.

Just returned from 2 nights at Low Hall Farm, 6 adults and 3 kids (in 3 touring caravans). Really enjoyed our stay, very quiet, nice walks, beautifully kept and beautiful views. Shower block has to be the one of the nicest I've seen, 2 big shower rooms with toilet and sink, and 2 toilet cubicles. Showers had constant hot water, more than enough room so no wet clothes and the heating was on, bliss. No facilities for kids as such, but all 3 boys were more than happy kicking a football, riding their bikes, looking for bird nests and climbing on fallen down tree stumps. Woken quite early by the cows in the next field but if you choose to stay on a working farm you have to expect that. Hardly saw the owners but they seemed friendly enough when we did. The only negative point I can think of is no soap or towels in the toilets. For £15 per night including electric, we will definitely be staying at Low Hall Farm again.

Great site, very clean and tidy. Great showers.
Well drained, no mud baths even after some really heavy rain. The grass was like a lawn.
Plenty of space, great views, lots of sheep :-)
Well away from the road so wonderfully quiet.
A lot of 'good sites' could learn by visiting here.

Great site, very quiet, we stayed for two nights to visit some friends. The shower blocks were very clean and warm, never had to queue to use them. There isn't much to do, but the countryside is lovely, we took nice walk one day.
Overall I'd recommend this site for couples rather than families, however don't let that put you off, lots of sheep and cows around, if your children are good at amusing themselves it would be great. We found a small stream on our walk which I could imagine would be great fun in better weather.
All the pitches were hard standing, with plenty of room.
The shops are a good drive away so go prepared, we arrived and pitched where we wanted visiting the farm house later to pay, very relaxed.

Booking was easy and confirmed by letter with a non returnable deposit paid.
The site was spotless, pitch sizes are a little on the small side with the only parking at the front of the pitch blocking a fantastic view. There are plenty of drinking water points and each pitch has a 10amp ehu.
All the recycling is in one area and again emptied regular and kept very tidy.
The site owners are a busy couple, as it is a working farm and as on our visit were in the middle of lambing. However due to some careless use of electrical equipment in there van some individual kept tripping the whole site out which resulted in the site owner venturing out to the barn at all hours to reset.
All in all a cracking site and well worth a second visit.

A well run neat and tidy site. Booking was easy and friendly online with no problems encountered even when we had to delay our arrival and no deposit required.
On arrival a choice of hard standings. The grass was unbelievably wet and soggy, but roadway and hard standings were good.
Toilet block, clean tidy and well kept and lovely and warm, good recycling facilities. Friendly owner. Good walks from site and a lovely shop in nearby village.
Fantastic views from site when it wasn't raining and blowing a gale which explains the soggy ground. Do not usually re visit sites but might make an exception for this one.

This was our second visit to Low Hall Farm, and well definitely return again.
If youre looking for a quiet and peaceful site with lovely views across the Duddon Estuary, you cant go far wrong here.
Toilet block (3 wcs - 2 with showers) was always clean. Despite accommodating 12 caravans in total, the toilets were never too busy. The grounds are very well maintained.
Lovely walks nearby without having to drive off the site. Even more within reasonable driving distances. Only 10 miles down to Barrow where you can get anything!
Even though there are no playground facilities, our 10 year old daughter loves it here and wants to go back.
Value for money?. At £14 per night including your electric hook up and awning. Absolutely.

Just had a couple of nights here, and will deffo return. The place is great for relaxing in peace, with no traffic or other intrusions anywhere near. The site itself is split into two; one half CC CL,and the other 'private'. But, they don't seem to bother as to whether you are any sort of club member - you just pitch wherever free. All the dozen? pitches' are hardstanding - some more level than others. They don't want vehicles on the grass, but that's no problem, and there's plenty of grass for your usable space.
The unisex loo block is spotless, with free hot showers any time. Theres also a disabled loo/shower. All four 'bathrooms' are a very good size.
The site has great views, and is a short walk to a pub and paper-shop/grocers. Its also near to some very good walking and level cycling routes - well away from busy roads.
The current tarrif is £14 a night inc. EHU, which isnt bad nowadays.
One tip here, do not attempt to drop onto the site from the top side of the A595 - part of it narrows down to nowt, and you will be lucky to get through it. Follow the sites instructions from their website! The turn-off from the A595 is signposted 'Bankhouse', on the right of a left hand bend in the A595. Its easy to miss, and I saw one unit go 3 miles past!
One other thing, the site has nothing at all for kids, so look elsewhere if this is important.

This is a lovely quiet little site. The scenery is just beautiful and the peace and quiet is delightful! I almost felt that my children should whisper on site so as to not disturb the peace!
Toilet block consists of three bathrooms: one with toilet and sink, two with toilet, sink and power shower. Spotless.
Cannot fault this place. £14 a per night includes electric hook up. A swing or slide for the kids would have made it just perfect.
Will try to visit again.
