The campsite is part of a much larger, multi business site with a restaurant, fishing, garden centre, golf course and other activities. Sadly, the campsite isn’t afforded a higher ranking in the pecking order and we got the impression it was left to its own devices.
The signage on the site was terrible. It was a real struggle to know where we needed to go. Not great for the stress levels if you’re towing a caravan because it would be easy to go the wrong way and having to reverse up would be difficult as most of the complex was single lane. When we did fond the camping area, there were printed sheets stuck on a shed to tell us to go back to the restaurant to check in. The one we had driven past!
We checked in, came back diwn to the camping area and managed to find our field. There were a few misleading signs saying ‘no camping beyond this point’ which we eventually decided to ignore as we simply saw no where else we could go but beyond them. We located our pitch and got set up. The pitch was a very spacious grass err, field and we had ehu and water.
The facilities were a bit of a trek but manageable. The showers were clean but the shower heads were fixed too high so, the whole cubicle floor was wet. Not the biggest drama in the world but its a detail which is easily fixed amd would make a huge difference. Sad;y, on our last day some single celled idiot had amused themselves by decorating the place with toilet roll. It was everywhere. Up the cubicle walls, over the ceiling. I don’t understand why people get any satisfaction out of things like that.
We didn’t see a warden or campsite official all weekend aside from someone driving past checking on our tag ( you’re given a different colour tag to attach to your pitch to indicate your day of checkout). So if you do like being left to your own devices, then ok. However, it is important to know that non campers and people coming onto the site to take part in any of the activities etc, are free to roam and so there is little security if you do spend time off site. This is something that did not sit well with me as I like to know that Tom, Dick and Harry wouldn’t have a hard time helping themselves to our gear if they wanted to. It’d be easy pickings to be honest.
On the positive side, there are a lot of things to do on site. Aside from the forementioned you can also do Zorb strike (running around in an inflatable bubble playing football), archery, football pool, there's a coffee shop, art studio shop, remote control car track, you can do a segway tour and other stuff. One of the best things about the place is the stunning view across the lakes, it really is beautiful.
The campsite has enormous potential and hopefully it will be developed into something that really is a campsite and rather less than a field. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

It was peaceful and beautiful when we arrived on Wednesday for 2 nights, so we decided to book another 2 nights - I wished I hadn't!
On Friday lunch time lots of people started turning up, and the camping field was a kids playground by the evening, but if you like kids running around everywhere then that's fine. We don't and wouldn't have stayed the extra two nights if we knew this.
As usual there is always the odd few who quite frankly shouldn't be allowed on a campsite. Yes, the ones who think its acceptable to let your dog off its lead and also not clear up its mess. The ones who bring dogs that start yapping at 6am both mornings and the ones who think its ok to drive across a campsite at about 30mph.
Some paving slabs around the water taps would be nice so you don't have to stand in mud while getting water, oh and the showers - having to push the button every 15 odd seconds to keep the water running is not acceptable.
We would stay again, but not during the weekend.

This is a great campsite with loads of activities to do within the site itself.
We booked online and chose the camping field, which worked out at £23. 50 for the pitch with three adults. This included full use of the showers, toilets and washing up.
We checked in at the restaurant and were met by very friendly team of girls who checked us in and gave us the key fob for the gate, etc.
The field is huge and not the flattest if I am honest, but not too slopey, so easy enough to find a pitch. It was almost empty so we chose a spot on the perimeter, set up and went back to the restaurant for a couple of drinks. The bar is not the cheapest, £4 for a bottle of Corona, and there are not many shaded areas in the actual garden, however the breeze cooled us down. The views are stunning from here and overlook the full site and the fishing lakes. The staff in the bar were really friendly, chatty and made us feel very welcome.
There is also 3 par golf which we had a round and it was a pretty good course, and a great introduction for me to the game of golf.
There is a high wire activity area, zorbing, climbing wall, fishing and archery on site. There is probably more, but I can't remember it all.
The toilets were very clean and well stocked, The showers were push button type, but were of a good temperature and the pressure was ok. Fresh water points and waste points dotted around the site too.
There are different fields, one for electric pitches, one for superior pitches and an exclusive family camping area.
The site was very quiet from traffic noise and planes etc. And we were not disturbed at all.
The area is great with Ware and Hertford down the road with shopping, restaurants, pubs, castles, canals and so much more.
I will be back and recommend this site.

NOISY!
If you don't mind noise 22 hours a day this site would be fine. However, we've hated our 2 night break here. We chose this site for its location on the same complex as the Three Lakes venue, in order to attend a family event there.
The toilets and showers were fine - all in working order. Our pitch was fine - slightly slopping. Site information was poor. We had to discover things for ourselves.
But, we rate this site so low due to the constant noise.
Starting at 7am with bin lorries and the nursery trucks crashing about. 8am the remote control, petrol driven cars started. The noise from these was relentless, lasting til dusk (licensed use til 9. 30pm).
Once that noise finally stopped, we noticed the noise of road and air traffic. Our whole family sighed with relief when we left.

We stayed here for 3 nights to attend a wedding reception on site on 2nd July. Overall it served its purpose and was an enjoyable break. We'd not rush back to the C&C park as it was well below the standard expected for a private park, especially for the price paid.
The C&C park was far from busy on our Thu aft arrival. Most vans looked like permanent residents (!), there was a few van's housing workers/contractors working in the area. At the w/e about 4 other vans arrived and maybe about 10 camping families in the next field, who seemed to have a good time.
Positive
- view from restaurant.
- food was good from restaurant, but quite expensive.
- proximity to function, food was excellent
- own water supply at hard standing sites (more for Caravanners, Motorhomes have bigger tanks)
- There was a lot of on-site activities open to the public
- Ample walks round perimeter and site for dogs, kids etc.
- w/e camping kids were all well behaved, obviously excited and enjoyed the outdoor exp.
- Wx was overall ok to good apart from the rain on our arrival as we were trying to erecting the new awning!
Negative
- Toilet/Showers were not clean. In my opinion not cleaned during our 3 night stay, or properly for a while. If the site claim they were then they have a quality of work issue. Can provide evidence they were not.
- showers & main toilet block about 500m uphill from caravan/MH parking
Some lazy campers with 'Chelsea Tractors' and/or vanity plates used thei car to go for a leak/shower.
Defeats the outdoor experience a bit!
- No drive over Motorhome Service Point for discharging grey waste.
- pitches are not level, grass is rocky below, expect bent tent/awning pegs
- as others stated, no management presence on site, at any time, as far as we were aware.
- Bin areas were a mess, bin lids were left off.
Some 'more permanent' residents left rubbish n food outside their vans.
The 2 cats we met in some of the PR vans obviously kept the potential vermin down

Stayed here for 5 weeks and loved it. Peaceful location, beautiful walks round the lakes. The manager was very welcoming. Someone drove round the park daily. One weekend there was a large party in the spot by the showers that was a bit noisy but it didn't spoil our stay. Bank holiday weekends were crowded but everyone respected each other's space and there wasn't too much noise after 11, apart from the odd child crying. Lovely for dog walking and our 2 loved running round in the field next to the tents.

Positives first.
Very good location, easy to find and close to the A10. Modern toilet and shower block was clean and had plenty of hot water. There are other non-exclusive chargeable activities on site such as golf, outdoor activities course, indoor play barn, restaurant, model car racing circuit and fishing.
Not so positives.
As per other reviews, there is no interaction with anyone responsible for the site, booking and site entry is via internet and text message with an access code. No one from the site patrols the campsite. No obvious point of contact to ask anything about the local area or the site facilities.
It may be for this reason that we like others that have reviewed this site had to put up with lots of noise, shouting, screaming and swearing very late in to the night and early next morning which upset our 7 yr old that could not get to sleep. With no one from the site apparently taking any interest people were free to do pretty much what they liked and make as much noise as they wanted, which they did.
Most of the marked pitches in the main camping field are on a slope, and make sure you bring plenty of spare tent pegs as the ground is so full of stones, many of our bent trying to get them in the ground.
Very disappointed with this site. It has the potential to be so much more but the people that run it clearly want to keep contact with their renters to an absolute minimum. Will not return.

We only stayed here one night so didn't spend that much time on the site. We were going to a party in Ware and picked the site because it was so close.
Booking was done via internet. I tried phoning but they said they preferred booking and payment online. A couple of days before they texted the gate combination number and the pitch number.
It was well signposted off the main road but not actually once we got into the complex (it's like a bunch of barns and things that have been converted into small shops and a restaurant). The camping field was past the restaurant, through a barrier you need the code for, then a sharp turn into the camping field (possibly a bit tricky for those pulling a caravan).
The site was quite big and I think one field was for large groups (there was one big group right at the top but otherwise empty). The smaller area was where our pitch was, down at the bottom. There's a lovely view of the lake from the restaurant but sadly you can't see any of this from the campsite.
Pitches are numbered but you seem to get quite a bit of room. There were two toilets near the camp field through the trees (I didn't even notice they were there until the next morning) but the main block was right up at the top and a bit of a hike.
The toilets were clean but no loo paper next morning (it said they were cleaned at 11am so I guess that's when you get more loo paper!).
Overall it was quite a nice site - shame about the lack of view. It did seem a bit 'hands off' though. Apart from going into the restaurant to get a taxi number, we didn't speak to anyone who worked there. That's the thing about checking in with the owner on arrival - they give you a bit of info (like telling you that there are two secret loos through the trees!). There was a map outside the main toilet block but it was for the whole place, not just the camping area.
I'd stay here again if I was going out with friends in Ware, but probably not for any other reason.

My husband and myself have just spent 3 nights at this campsite. We picked a pitch with hook up and a water tap which we found very handy. We had a hedge dividing us between our neighbours. The toilet block was just a short walk away with one female and one male toilet although we didn't need them I visited them to see how clean they were and they were spotless. The shower block would have been a good walk up a hill. We put up our toilet tent and had our own shower rather than the long walk.
We did find the campsite at night very noisy and also people with dogs had no respect for other people and they seem to run wild barking at everyone and everything.
We also found it very impersonal having to book everything on line and having the site and gate code sent by text rather than actually talking to someone.
We had a meal in the restaurant and found the food very nice. A little over priced but we enjoyed it.
We don't think we will be visiting the site again as we do like peace and quiet at night and dogs which are kept under control.

Lovely clean site with immaculate shower facilities that even supply a couple of hairdryers for guests to use, they are a good walk from the site but are well lit at night. The pitches are plenty big enough and have great views over fields woodlands and are located a stones throw from lovely peaceful walks round the fishing lakes.
There is a garden centre, restaurant children's indoor soft play (under 12s) and a couple of shops within easy walking distance which breaks up the day without driving anywhere.
Lots of positives about this site, an ideal location for families. The one and only draw back was the very inconsiderate campers who decided to ignore the quiet after 11pm policy and continued their shouting and drinking well passed midnight.
