We stayed here for a week in the Summer holidays.
The site is ideally located for visiting the sights of the Normandy coast, such as the D-Day invasion beaches and Bayeux. There's not much of interest in the local village but Le Molay Littry is just down the road and is a reasonable sized town with everything you need.
On arrival to the site we got a very warm welcome from Paul who gave us a tour and invited us to select a pitch. The pitches are reasonably good sized for a French site, but small by UK standards - with our medium sized caravan and porch awning there was just about room for our car and not much else. Most pitches are hedged off so it could feel a bit cramped if you had a big van. Our pitch had a water tap on it which was very useful.
For the kids there is a nice swimming pool, and what's called a play area but is really only a couple of rather old and stiff swings. If you have small children be aware there is an unfenced pond on the grounds too.
Facilities are OK - the showers were hot and generally clean but they are a bit tired and could do with updating. For each gender there are a couple of indoor showers and several unisex outdoor ones which are a bit odd as you step out right into the washing up area and unisex toilets. The chemical disposal area is also located very close to the showers and washing up area.
You can order fresh bread and croissants from the site owners which are great, they also do food in the on-site restaurant but we didn't make use of this as the menu was rather uninspiring - Curry & chips, Fish and Chips, Mussels and Chips. I realise it's only a small facility and some people might make use of it but we personally wanted to try French food rather than the same things we can get at home.
The site was generally quiet, although some people took the 10pm pool curfew right up to the wire which meant it was sometimes hard to get the kids to sleep.
Overall we enjoyed our stay apart from one massive exception - on the one night there was a private party going on at the bar and pool. The result was very loud music, shouting, splashing around in the pool, people running around the site and cars moving around right up until 4:30am which resulted in a sleepless night for all of us. In the morning we felt we might get an apology from the owners as we were paying to stay there and don't expect that sort of noise all night. However none was forthcoming, not even a discount on that night's fees, which was a shame and blighted the holiday a bit for us.
Hopefully this was a one-off, otherwise Le Picard is a nice site in a good generally peaceful location.

This is a lovely campsite. Paul and Lucia are superb hosts. Fresh bread and croissants can be ordered for the morning and the restaurant on site serves good food.
The pitches are all surrounded by little hedges and there is electricity and fresh water on most of them which is a real plus. The newer toilet/shower block is outside, but it was clean and pleasant. There is also communal use of a fridge/freezer too.
The pool was nice, there is a children's play area (which we didn't use) and the dish washing facilities were fine.
The area is quiet but a short drive from Bayeux and plenty of war related things to do nearby.
All in all, we were perfectly happy with the site and would definitely return.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at Camping Le Picard. The owners Paul & Lucia are very good hosts, friendly and extremely accommodating.
The site is very peaceful the showers are probably the best we have ever encountered on any campsite and the pitches are of a generous size. We would also highly recommend the food and company in the restaurant during the evenings.
There is plenty to see and do in the immediate area, you are not far from most of the popular sites of interest.
My husband and I both highly recommend Campng Le Picard

My family and I had one of the most memorable times of our lives while in France. The Le Picard Campsite had a major role in realizing that for us. We arrived around 0530a. M. And the young man who attended to us was very polite and helpful and the same for the man who attended to us in the later morning. The campsite is very beautiful and clean. The toilets and showers were clean. As a whole the atmosphere was relaxing, safe and healthy. If you like peace, quite, cleanliness and affordability then you should seriously consider The Le Picard Campsite.

Excellent, British-orientated, site in Normandy, exceptionally convenient for those wanting a closer look at Norman or D-day history. We stayed for 3 nights, visiting Bayeux and Arromanche as days out, and using the pool as relaxation afterwards (heated to 27 degrees, a comfortable constant at 10am or 8pm!). Showers hot, all the time!
First class customer service from Paul and Lucia, who have clearly made a lot of friends with their hospitality. Easy to see why some of the other campers were there for a second or third visit, and we would certainly return here if we wanted to spend more time in Normandy or were passing through from Cherbourg/Le Havre.

My son (14) and I have just come back from our first camping trip abroad, and what a first. This campsite is fantastic. We had such a warm welcome from Paul, that he had us at hello.
The site is beautifully laid out, with each pitch sectioned with lovely hedges and having its own water and electricity. The pool was warm(ish), lovely, clean and inviting - we had a dip or two.
The shower/toilet areas, although not particularly modern were very clean and the water lovely and hot. The offer to purchase fresh bread/croissants every morning was a very welcome bonus.
Having a fridge and freezer to store foods/ice cream also gives this place another couple of points. A large supermarket was about 10 minutes drive away, where everything could be purchased.
And we visited two beaches, which were about 20 minutes drive away. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site, and should we be in the area again, would definitely be making a booking to stay.

We visited this site for a late summer break for 4 nts. We went with a tent initially but ended up buying a caravan!
The site is in a very quiet small area south of Bayeaux. The site is kept immaculate and all facilities are clean and in good order.
The site is only small and mainly consists of English visitors.
The pitches are nicely separated by low hedges and there are lots of nice trees for shade.
The pool looked lovely and is heated and there is a bar that also serves very highly rated food. The bar prices are very reasonable and you can order croissant and baguette for the following morning collection.
The owners, Paul and Sue are very friendly and extremely helpful.
This is probably the best campsite we have ever been to, and we will definitely be back.

This campsite is top notch ideal for families and couples.
Its location means its less than 30 minutes to most of the famous beaches and attractions.
Paul and Lucia the owners cant do enough for your to make your stay relaxing.
Bread and croissants are available daily and the tastiest fresh eggs you can imagine.
The bar and restaurant area is well decorated and food is very good value for money.
The pool is clean and well maintained also.
