Great little site, picked it because its close to the D Day beaches. Also would be good for a stopover if you were sailing in or out of Cherbourg. Make sure you phone in advance to get directions as there are a number of very small roads around the area, which if you are using a sat nav it might try to take you.
You are given a really friendly welcome when you arrive. Nothing is too much bother for the owners Paul and Lucia Palmer. We felt at home straight away.
The small fishing pond was a great hit with our kids. They also loved the hens and rabbits that roam round the site.
The swimming pool was warm and stays open until 10pm.
As said in one of the previous reviews, the toilets are not the most modern, but we didn't think there was anything wrong with them. There was always warm water and they were kept really clean, which is more important.
We loved the peace and quiet, even with a field of sheep behind us we weren't disturbed.
Had a meal in the restaurant and it was really good, cooked by Lucia.Thought it was good value for money. We also got our bread fresh each morning, which was great, it is baked on site.
Would recommend it highly,is now on our list of favourites.
Thank you Paul and Lucia (if you get to read this) for a lovely stay.

We stayed on this site for the first week of the school summer holidays in July 09, and we have never camped before! The site was fantastic, facilities were very clean and showers were always warm and very powerful. Site has a really good feel about it, everyone is very friendly and Paul and his wife are very helpful. The site is ideally located for visiting all of the D-Day sites (being roughly in the middle of the beaches) most of the sites were no more than 30 mins by car away. Local supermarkets served us well and the meals on site were also very good. Excellent site for the kids to play on, there is a good sized swimming pool, play area and a pond for fishing or boating on. Will definitely be going again!

What a great site to choose, we did originally arrive in the last week of July but after 4 days we had to return home for personal reasons. We enjoyed it so much we were able to re book during the first week of September. Even when the site was full in July it had a lovely atmosphere with everyone enjoying their stay. Paul and his wife go out of their way to make it such a good holiday and nothing is too much trouble for them. Site is immaculate and the pitch size more than adequate. The showers and toilets are kept spotlessly clean and much better than the expensive sites we have used in the past. We thought the food and cost of drink etc was no more than others in France and certainly nowhere near as expensive as some.
The location is perfect with the Normandy landing beaches reached easily and without traffic. You have to visit the Tapestry and Bayeaux which is a beautiful town.
We could not fault this site and have already scattered the brochures and web links to our friends. We will certainly return as its only 45 mins from Caen ferry port and an hour from Cherbourg.

Great site thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice big grass pitches with low hedges between. Lovely garden/play area with a good size pond for fishing. Nice heated swimming pool and a bar/restaurant that serves good food and ice creams, however both are expensive.Toilet and wash facilities are a bit antiquated and could do with updating as they have a bit of a DIY feel to them but they are adequate. All in all a lovely place to stay and the owners try hard to make your stay a pleasant experience.

This is a nice friendly site with heated pool and plenty of places to visit in the area. They took orders for bread for the next day and sold icecreams and lollies. They also had a bar next to the pool where you could keep an eye on your kids whilst socialising.
The pitches are a good size we were on one that overlooked a field of Donkeys.
We visited Bayeaux with its outstanding cathedral and Omhaha beach.
We only stopped 3 Nights but had a great time Thanks.

We went over to stay in a friends caravan and ended up buying one ourselves! We've been back a few times since, we store our van on the site and just email to say when we are coming over. The site is lovely surrounded by fields. You do have to go into the village for supplies (five minutes by car)although free range eggs are provided by the resident hens! and you can order bread for the next day. The pitches are a good size and not too close together. The toilets and showers are basic but clean and adequate for your needs. The owners are really friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this site to families and couples alike, and if your looking to store your van over there I would recommend that to.
