Just had a lovely three day stay here - it was our third visit. The site has all the usual facilities and is strictly adults only. The garage opposite has a shop with basic items. If you want a supermarket there are some in Downham Market or Swaffham. I think the village (Stoke Ferry) pub is closed. We used The Bedingfeld Arms at Oxborough, a very dog friendly pub that serves good food - highly recommended (by my wife and I, and the dog). The campsite is quiet and set alongside the river Wissey. There is some traffic noise but we didn't find it too intrusive and 'tuned' it out. We will definitely be returning for future visits.

Stayed at this lovely adults only site last weekend. It was so tranquil right on the rivers edge. The toilet/shower block was very clean (used by key holders only)
Helpful site wardens. Reception was stocked with DVDs for rental and a lending library of books.
A garage/shop is right opposite the site which is handy.
I will definitely stay again!

Loved this site being near the river as great to look out of window and see boats moored up nearby. Site kept neat and tidy with clean facilities. Walk by the riverside was great with the dog. Downside was not having pub in walking distance. For dog lovers the Jolly Brewer were very friendly and allow them in. It was a pain keep getting out of car to move barriers but can understand why they are there. Another site that adds money on for awnings and my real hate is paying extra for the dog. We clean up after him and he doesn't use facilities. A little pricier than some other sites with more to offer. Great for walking round Thetford forest. Oxborough hall allow dogs in grounds so that was a bonus. Would go back and would take fishing gear next time. The site is next to the main road so can be very noisy as we are used to village traffic. However got used to it quickly and slept ok. Loved the fact no children there.

Well I did say we would be back, and here we are just a few weeks since our last visit, I can't really say any more than I did last time, but the fact that we're here again says it all, I deffo recommend this site, and we will be back again

Following a few checks of various camp sites we decided to try the Grange, a good decision. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed my wife to our pitch while I filled up the fresh water tank. Our pitch was only about 4 mtrs from the edge of the river Wissey and its selection of privately owned boats. The site has all essential facilities you need, toilets, showers, chemical waste point, grey waste point, and several fresh water points, there are also fire buckets situated on the site. All in all a very good, clean and friendly site. There are also several permanent caravans here. If you are booked onto the site the river bank fishing is free (rod licence still required) the river is flowing, but not too fast.
There is a garage directly opposite the cap entrance, which also has a Mace store inside, there is a local village which has a fish and chip shop, a grocery store and an ironmongers, but this is quite a walk, our motorhome is 7mtrs in length, so no village trip for that then, so walk it was.
But we will be back.

Just got back from a 2 night stay on this lovely site next to the river. Had driven by a couple of times previous and thought how nice it looked, then a friend said he had a boat moored there so we decided to visit. We were not disappointed. Wardens extremely friendly and helpful. Showers/toilets very clean. There is a well stocked library. Shop/garage directly opposite the site for essential items. Lovely walks along the river. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 10 days in September. Very clean, tidy and attractive site. Helpful and attentive owners and assistants. Nice walks from site along the river. Ideal site for anglers, as free fishing in the river, or a small lake on a reasonable day ticket within the extended site. Showers at 50 pence, but give plenty of time and hot water. Some road noise, but did not bother us. Most of the pitches are seasonal, and not many occupied during our visit. Would recommend.

We stayed at this site for three days. It is a lovely setting right alongside the river. The site itself is adults only and is very well maintained. There is fishing in the river or, for £3 daily, a fishing lake is a short walk along the river towards Stoke Ferry. Opposite the site entrance is a garage with a reasonable shop where you can get the basics. Much of the site is taken up by tourers on season pitches but they were a friendly bunch. We found supermarkets (Tesco and Waitrose) at Swaffham, this was about ten miles away, there may be others nearer. When we arrived there were seven pitches free and we were allowed to choose the one we wanted, they were all nice though, level and within yards of the riverbank. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fishing bait can be purchased from site reception. Toilets are well kept but a bit limited, though I never had to queue. Showers are token operated, tokens are 50p each from reception. There is a really good site library in the Information Hut. Traffic noise is a niggle but we tended to tune it out after a while, All in all we really liked this site and will definitely be using it again.

Stayed here this week for three nights and really enjoyed our visit. We were on our way home after a family get together on another campsite and were feeling a bit down having said goodbye to everyone including our dear little toddler granddaughters. However our scenic riverside pitch soon lifted our spirits along with the numerous flat exploring walks that we discovered during our few days on site. The facilities here are beautifully kept, clean and tidy at all times with music. Playing in the background which I thought was a nice touch. As per previous review, there may not be very many toilets, showers etc but I never saw anyone else in there any time I used them, especially as it's an adult only site, adults are quite capable of waiting a few minutes if necessary. We walked into Stoke Ferry a couple of times, very quiet but some lovely old, interesting buildings and the village shop was well stocked too. The people in charge on the campsite were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, even when I couldn't get the shower to work(my fault) and had to find some help, the lady was quite prepared to come and give me some assistance, thank you for that, I'll know which way to turn the know next time! Unfortunately we had to leave a day early as we needed a repair to our motor home but we will visit again. A lovely setting with good facilities and nice people.
