We came to the site for our second visit and bought along my sister in law and her family so there were 4 adults and 5 children
We have loved every minute so far even though the weather hasn't been fantastic 'but then again it's what you make of it'
We had our tents next to each other right in the front of the park which was great for watching the kids and there was more than enough room between the tents for us to have our own table and chairs and the picnic table next to the park
The facilities are good for what you need them for and they are always clean
There are some lovely walks and wildlife to see and as you come to the end there is a lovely little animal area with pigs rabbits sheep a donkey and as one other reviewer commented on the famous 'shig' which the kids call gin gin the Afro pig
Whilst we were here this time the mother pig gave birth to 10 piglets which was great
We have never had any issues with anyone else sharing the park the noise level is very quiet after 8. 30pm
The staff are friendly polite and helpful the local town (witney) is great for a look around and to grab some bits and bobs
Overall a very good 4 nights and we will come back again as the kids love it and we love the peace and quite
The fact that there is no pub on site means when it gets dark it stays quiet and everyone can relax and enjoy the evening when the kids are asleep as we do playing cards outside
We hope this review was helpful to future visiting families

We did a rally for the Jubilee here and again, the site was outstanding, couldn't find a fault if we wanted to. Facilities are spotlessly clean!
There are new facilities being built to accommodate the extending campsite. Can't wait to return next year.
The site is situated very close to Charlbury, which has a co-op supermarket and numerous pubs.
Then you have Chipping Norton with sainsbury's which is about 8 miles from the site and Banbury is not too far to get to either if you fancy a bit of retail therapy.

Excellent site which is ideally situated just outside Charlbury and well positioned for the Cotswolds.
The site is spotless with well equipped kitchen which was a nice touch. There was only one toilet and shower but there were only three pitches taken so not a problem?.
Charlbury has several nice places to eat and there are lots of country pubs in the numerous villages closely. Children are well catered for with a wood and play area.
Online booking was simple although trying to phone the site was difficult.
Owners were very friendly and helpful.

Nice small rural site, however was disappointed that had booked and paid in full in advance then no pitch reserved on site. There is no warden on site and although this was not generally a problem, I felt that a reserved sign should have been put on a pitch for us and others like us who had paid in advance. People were just arriving and pitching anywhere, whether they had paid or not and there were at least 20 units on a site advertising to have 10.
As you can imagine, this led to big queues at toilets and shower. There are 2 ladies toilets and one ladies shower(same for gents). These were new and nice and clean but totally overcrowded as in very small area. Good indoor washing up facilities including kettle, toaster and fridge.
Maps of surrounding area were very useful.
The site did quieten down midweek and was far better but owners really should address issue of advance bookings being allocated pitches. Had we been an hour later we would never have got on this site and no one was available to speak to. Did try telephoning mobile contact number but got no reply even after leaving message.

Hired whole site for Easter. Once again a fantastic time was had by all. We could not have asked for better weather.
Facilities were spotlessly clean again and the owners were always on hand if help was needed. Eggs available the whole stay.
Wildlife was on form for the whole 9 days, thank you woody! Horses are lovely and very friendly.
A number of shops to choose from in Charlbury, I found Londis to be the best on offer.
One of our favourite sites and would recommend to anybody. Will be back as soon as we can.

Just home from a super 5 day stay at this little gem of a site tucked away on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is excellent touring base within easy reach of Oxford, Blenheim, and all the Cotswold towns and villages, but we spent most of our time walking and enjoying the autumn scenery.
It is a small grassy site - just 10 or so pitches, with electric hook ups, although you would need long leads for some of them. Consequently just a few loos and 1 shower each for ladies and gents, but all spotlessly clean.
Also a small room with washing up sink, kettle, toaster and microwave, and fresh eggs for sale. Nearest pub and shop is just over a mile away in Charlbury - a tricky walk along a road and uphill on the way back, so car is better.
The food at the Bull Inn was very good! A very peaceful site, lots of birds in the surrounding trees. Thank you for a great stay.

This is a compact site that is beautifully situated. No one was to hand on our arrival, but a pitched camper told us that the owners would be around in due course and were quite casual about running the site.
There's no camp shop, so make sure you have all that you need (I'm always laid back about leaving stiff behind as I figure the shop will provide - not so here!-).
There's a main field broken up by well placed trees and shrubs. Through a more prominent tree line there is a second area that may be set aside for a play area - we weren't sure, but one other couple had pitched there and we followed suit.
This smaller section backs on to a lovely field with a couple of friendly horses in it who have a passion for Extra Strong Mints. Please be sure to pack some.
It's a 25 minute walk into Charlbury across some fields and past a Equestrian Centre. The path is not well marked but easy enough to figure out. We would highly recommend a meal at The Bull. We waddled back along the road when dark - which was fine as it isn't heavily used (take a torch).
The only niggle we had was with the lack of 'facilities' at the site. At one point my wife counted 16 ladies present in the fields(s) and two toilets, one sink and one shower really isn't enough. Sadly that will probably prevent us from returning, which is a genuine shame as we thoroughly loved the site and liked the people who run/own it.

This is a very nice basic little site. Electric hook ups were available which we did use. The site was quite level with hedges and trees surrounding it. There were chicken eggs available for 20p per egg the chickens were in another field - a nice touch.
It was quite busy over the bank holiday weekend and as there is only one sink in the ladies it could be a little awkward. There was one shower and 2 toilets available - fine if site not full. In all we would visit again. The area is lovely full of quaint cotswold villages.

We spent four nights here and really enjoyed its peaceful surroundings.
An excellent flat site, you can choose where you pitch, and there`s plenty of space.
The trees and hedges provide some nice shade and shelter if you want.
The toilets and showers, although small, are excellent. Loads of hot water and powerful. They can get busy when the site is full but we did`nt mind waiting a little while.
Great little kitchen area with a fridge for campers use (freezing section for ice packs etc)
The Co-op store in Charlbury is extremely good and there are also some nice pubs in the village too.
It is, however, at least a mile to the village on foot and there is no pavement so not advisable for young children. We did`nt see a footpath signed but that's not to say there is`nt one.
There are some chickens in the next field and fresh eggs are for sale most days. There are also two ponies who are very friendly and wander`d over for a pat from our child.
We would definitely recommend this site. Its well worth a visit if you want a base to explore the Cotswolds etc. Top site.
As a footnote. The gents shower broke on the Tuesday morning. It was replaced with a brand new one by 7pm that day. Now that's quality service!

Would highly recommend this campsite to anyone who is visiting the Cotswolds area. Nice flat grassed pitches, lots of electric hook-ups if required, very sheltered, added extra especially if you are in a tent is the use of a fridge and microwave in the kitchen. Toilet/facilities very good, lots of hot water all the time. There is a Co-op in Charlbury which is just down the road.
