Spent a week here during the hottest part of May and appreciated the high hedges and many trees around the site that provided shade (although you could camp in sun if you wanted). Lovely to be in a field full of wild flowers and constant birdsong, even cuckoos, and dark enough at night to stargaze.
Two loos and one shower for each sex and a small kitchen for washing up with a fridge and microwave. Pitch numbers are restricted to 10 so even when the site was full it wasn’t too crowded or noisy and just a short wait for washing up.
Friendly owners although hardly seen. EHU available for most pitches if required.
There was a generator somewhere locally that ran all night that was irritating a couple of nights and a spotlight on the buildings that randomly shone across part of the field at times.
Found a great farm shop a few miles the other side of Charlbury off the B road to Woodstock with most supplies including meat from their own free range animals seen in the fields around. Co-op in Charlbury open until 10 each day and 9 on Sundays had good supplies.
Lovely site, definitely recommended.
Note there is another much larger campsite north of Charlbury on another road with a similar name “Cotswold View Camping” and this is the one with the on site shop.

Arrived 30th Apr for bank holiday weekend. We held a rally here and the site is superb. Spacious pitches, well kept grass and excellent facilities.
Kitchen with fridge and microwave. Ladies and Gents toilets each with a shower. Spotlessly clean. Recycling facilities, which is good to see. Would recommend the site to everyone.

We stayed here over a cold spring weekend. There was no-one to receive guests that we could find, and only one other unit there at the time, but the owner appeared the next day and we got everything settled easily enough.
The pitch was fine and quite easy, with no rocks or sloping ground. The facilities were very clean and totally adequate for our needs. The town wasn't too far away, and the shop there was well stocked, although we mostly ate out.
Bourton-on-the-Water was the main reason we camped here, as it is a reasonably short drive away, yet we were out of the honey-pot tourist belt, making this one of the best value campsites I've ever stayed on!

An excellent, little site. A well laid out field without defined pitches, so you have some freedom over where to pitch. Most areas are served by electricity hook-ups. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The shower/toiler block is small, but the owners deliberately restrict numbers to avoid overcrowding. We never had to queue for the facilities during the weekend we were on-site. The block was immaculately clean and well maintained.
The walk into Charlbury is along a B road that doesn't have a pavement, so caution is needed. It's about 1 mile into the centre of the village where we found two fantastic pubs. The Rose & Crown is a CAMRA award winning pub and we had an excellent meal in The Bull Inn. There was one other pub and a hotel, but we didn't get a chance to try these.
Charlbury's website lists several circular walks and there's a train station with regular trains to Oxford.
We would definitely use this friendly site again.

Have just returned from a week at this campsite. We had a fantastic time and loved exploring the Cotswolds, the site makes a very central and handy base for this. The site is well laid out with ample pitch sizes. The toilet and showers blocks were kept clean, and we never had to wait for showers, which were hot and powerful. The extra cubicles with sinks in were brilliant with plenty of hooks for washbags etc. The fresh homemade bread and croissants from the shop were delicious. Our kids (11 and 14) had plenty to do, and despite it being peak season the site never felt too overcrowded. Despite some heavy rain the site had good drainage.
Would highly recommend and would use again if revisiting the Cotswolds.

This campsite is a great place to stay to relax in the tranquillity of the Cotswold’s and also to explore many local places of interest. The site itself is set in a scenic location and is very private. We enjoyed many walks from the site and couldn’t help ourselves from shooting a few hoops in the basketball net every time we passed it :-)
We got our groceries from Charlbury, which is small town, just down the road. There is a decent size store, which is open until 10pm most nights. This town is full of life, with a lot of pubs for its size!
Oxford talks for itself and is really easy to get to from Charlbury, as there is a train that takes about 20minutes. Blenheim Place in Woodstock must also not be missed. If you don’t want to pay to go in the Palace then the grounds themselves are well worth a visit.
The toilet/kitchen block on this site was frequently cleaned. The owners were often around maintaining the upkeep of the site and were extremely friendly.
I left this site feeling very relaxed and enchanted with the area. We will definitely come again.
